53. Long Lost Memories 9

At the entrance of the clan leader's residence, members of the Kaguya clan, controlled by Uchiha Hikari, stood in a dazed state, obediently lining up per the young girl's commands, waiting for the battle outside the clan to end.

Using the Yasaka Spears technique on such a large crowd for the first time, the girl felt a bit unsteady, with the absorbed chakra having no place to go, leaving her small head dizzy and lightheaded.

"Why don't you transfer the excess chakra to me?"

Seeing the girl's slightly tipsy and adorable look, Uchiha Gin couldn't help but suggest.

Understanding that the young man wanted to help her share the burden, Uchiha Hikari activated her Mangekyo Sharingan.

A flash of blue light appeared, and a surge of chakra poured out from the marks left by their earlier joint technique.

Just recently weakened from using the Mangekyo Sharingan, the young man now felt revitalized, as if fully recharged.

"Thank you, Gin."

The girl gave a soft smile, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush. Caught in her shyness, Gin was momentarily stunned, while his aunt watched the two with a knowing smile.

As Gin struggled to find the right words, the girl's shy demeanor suddenly shifted as a terrifying aura erupted from her.

Her clear eyes darkened with a black mist, and an intense pressure weighed on those around her, stifling their breath.

Sensing danger, Uchiha Gin tried to step forward, but as he raised his hand, the mark on the back of it started to pulse violently, freezing him in place.

He felt his chakra rapidly draining, his mouth unable to speak, and could only move his eyes with difficulty.

That's when he noticed that Uchiha Tajima's wife also had a mark on her that seemed to be drawing out her chakra, leaving her equally dazed.

But the most horrifying sight was yet to come. As the black mist spread through the girl's eyes, the Kaguya clan members she had controlled began to regain consciousness.

"What's going on?"

The newly aware Kaguya Josuke looked around in bewilderment at his fellow clan members, the last memory of being trapped by black flames and seeing a red moon in the sky.

"Leader, I can't move!"

Kaguya Takuya, who had been following Josuke, also regained his senses, only to find himself unable to move, as though paralyzed.

"Me neither!"

"Same here!"

The other Kaguya clan members, who had also awakened, voiced their confusion.

The girl, the only one who could still move, scanned the people around her with empty eyes before her gaze settled on the Kaguya clan members surrounded by black flames.

With a slight lift of her eyelids, the black flames opened a gap obediently. Her eyes, with a dark and eerie pattern, began to spin slowly. With the added power of her gaze, the Kaguya members under her control found their bodies moving against their will.

One Kaguya member sprouted a white, bone-like blade from his palm. Horrified, he swung it down, slicing his comrade next to him in half, spraying red liquid everywhere.

"No!!!"

The Kaguya he killed was his own younger brother. Before he could process his grief, he looked down at the bone blade protruding from his chest, the blood filling his lungs, leaving him speechless as he collapsed on top of his brother's corpse.

"!!!"

Under the control of his mark, Uchiha Gin could only watch helplessly as the massacre unfolded. Kaguya clan members cried and cursed as they were forced to fight each other, turning the place into a bloodbath.

"Leader Josuke! Stop!"

Unlike the average Kaguya member with a strong physique, Kaguya Takuya, who had awakened the mutated Byakugan, was physically weak.

Lacking the Shikotsumyaku bloodline limit, he was no match for his kin barehanded.

In front of him was Kaguya Josuke, looking like a porcupine with bones extending from his body. In just one encounter, he ran Takuya through with a bone spike.

"Dance of the Willow."

"Don't blame me, Takuya."

The controlled Kaguya Josuke could only watch in horror as his body slaughtered his trusted friend, Takuya, with his Shikotsumyaku ability.

"Evil Uchihas! I'll tear you to pieces!"

Josuke sprouted more bone spikes from his body, trying to use the pain to regain control of himself.

"To think someone could achieve such terrifying control."

An elder, who had been observing from the sidelines, couldn't help but sigh as he watched the girl force the Kaguya to kill each other.

Earlier, in his laboratory, he had implanted negative emotions into the girl's mind, leaving a powerful ocular jutsu within her consciousness. Whenever he wanted, he could activate this jutsu and unleash her negative emotions, turning her into his ultimate weapon.

"Why...why would you do this to me!"

Uchiha Hikari's mind flooded with memories of being tortured, imprisoned, and experimented on by her clan members.

In these memories, Uchiha Gin was nowhere to be found. The clan had treated her, who possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan, as nothing more than a ruthless weapon, used as they pleased.

With her emotions in turmoil, the black mist in her eyes thickened, her face twisted in rage, and a trail of blood trickled from her overused Sharingan.

Seeing the girl's anguish, Uchiha Gin's muscles convulsed with tension. His intense emotions triggered a surge of power in his eyes, breaking through the bindings of the Yasaka Spears technique.

Finally free, the boy felt a wave of dizziness, and everything in front of him became hazy.

Ignoring his blurred vision, he rushed to the girl, grabbing her by the shoulders in an attempt to bring her back to her senses.

"Wake up, Hikari!"

With no other means, Uchiha Gin tried to use words to bring her out of her frenzy.

The girl flinched at the familiar voice, her empty eyes showing a hint of resistance as her body started to tremble, struggling against something within.

"Hikari, it's me, Gin. We promised to go eat seafood in the Land of Water, soak in the hot springs in the Land of Hot Water, and watch the snow in the Land of Snow..."

Seeing that he was getting through, Gin continued recounting their childhood promises, remembering each one fondly.

"Ah..."

As he recounted these memories, the black mist in the girl's eyes gradually faded, and her gaze regained clarity.

"Gin, what...what did I do?"

Back in control, the girl looked at the battered Uchiha Gin before collapsing into his arms, her pale lips barely able to whisper, asking weakly.

"It's okay. I'm here."

Unable to see her face clearly, Uchiha Gin reached out and gently patted her head, speaking with reassuring conviction.

"It's over!"

Kaguya Josuke, panting heavily, froze as the bone spike in his hand stopped just short of piercing a terrified clan member in front of him.

The surviving members of the Kaguya clan were left devastated, having been forced to kill their comrades under the red moon's influence. Some were so shattered they fled in madness, losing their sanity entirely.
