The system's voice echoed in Furen's mind. He activated his ability to see through the reward pool and took a look.

"25% favorability reward pool... No Kurama Kekkei Genkai..."

"50% favorability reward pool... Still no Kurama Kekkei Genkai..."

"75%... There it is! A golden-tier Kurama Kekkei Genkai! There's an even higher chance for a golden-tier Kurama Kekkei Genkai in the 100% favorability pool!" Furen finally found what he needed at the 75% favorability mark for Kurama Yakumo.

"Draw from the 25% and 50% favorability pools first!" Furen decided to get the less important rewards out of the way.

25% favorability reward: Illusion Resistance.

50% favorability reward: Illusion Mastery!

"Not bad..." Furen nodded as he reviewed the rewards. Illusion Resistance and Illusion Mastery slightly boosted his illusion stats on his attribute panel.

"Now comes the most important part."

Furen licked his lips, then asked the system, "Can I draw from the 100% favorability pool first?"

After reaching 100% favorability with Kurama Yakumo, and with one previous chance remaining, Furen now had two uses of the rare "Controller" ability to improve his reward outcomes.

Since both the 75% and 100% favorability pools contained the Kurama Kekkei Genkai, if Furen could pull the Kekkei Genkai from the 100% pool, he could save one use of his "Controller" ability.

System: "Yes."

With that confirmation, Furen didn't hesitate. "Draw from Kurama Yakumo's 100% favorability reward pool!"

A massive roulette wheel appeared in his mind, and it began to spin!

As Furen's heart raced with anticipation, the wheel finally slowed down and came to a stop. A golden light flashed across the wheel!

"Not bad, not bad." A smile spread across Furen's face as he successfully saved one of his rare "Controller" chances.

"Now that I have the Kurama Kekkei Genkai, the remaining draws don't really matter." Furen casually issued a command to the system to draw from the 75% reward pool.

To his surprise, the 75% favorability pool also yielded a golden reward.

Ding!

"What's this for?" Furen asked the system, curious.

System: "Since the host has successfully won over Kurama Yakumo, the current sole inheritor of the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai, the host can now make any requests of the Kurama Clan through Kurama Yakumo without any objections."

Furen nodded after hearing the system's explanation. This golden reward could be quite useful depending on how it was employed. Having some hidden influence within Konoha wasn't a bad thing after all.

Although the Kurama Clan was currently in decline within Konoha, the saying "a starved camel is still bigger than a horse" holds true—they still had some influence left.

"Kurama Kekkei Genkai..."

After finishing the draws, Furen began examining the newly acquired Kurama Kekkei Genkai, an immensely powerful ability that turns illusions into reality!

With the acquisition of the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai, Furen's stat panel saw yet another significant improvement.

Furen licked his lips. With the Ice Release, Wood Release, Kurama Clan Kekkei Genkai, and numerous other jutsu, he had finally secured the combat prowess required to stand tall in the shinobi world at the Kage level.

"But this is only the beginning!"

Despite having reached Kage-level strength, Furen did not become complacent. After all, in the world of Naruto, by the time of the Fourth Great Ninja War, battles between god-like figures were common. Being at the Kage-level merely granted him the qualification to step onto such a battlefield.

As Furen contemplated his next steps for the future, the door to the art studio where Kurama Yakumo and Furen were staying was suddenly opened. After being gone for a while, Yūhi Kurenai finally returned, pushing open the door and stepping inside.

When she saw Yakumo lying in Furen's arms, Kurenai paused momentarily before quickly regaining her usual cheerful demeanor.

"I brought back your favorite sushi~" Kurenai smiled, placing the takeout sushi on the table. She then quietly left, leaving the two of them alone.

"Sensei..."

Yakumo shyly glanced at her teacher as she departed, before hesitantly picking up a piece of sushi from Kurenai's order and offering it to Furen.

"Furen-kun, you must be hungry."

In the following days, Furen continued to stay with Yakumo at the Lisokyo Villa. On the one hand, he familiarized himself with how to use the Kurama Clan's powerful illusionary bloodline limit. On the other hand, he "guided" the still-innocent Yakumo.

One day, however, Furen stood atop the highest point of Lisokyo Villa, overlooking the village of Konoha. He was alone, not with Yakumo this time.

"Is that Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame? Interesting... seems like some intriguing visitors have arrived."
