Chapter sixty four

The next morning, Sophia woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing. She picked it up to see a text from Alex. "Good morning, beautiful. Come down to the dining room. We're having a family breakfast, and I have an announcement to make."

Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she wondered what the announcement could be. She quickly got dressed and made her way downstairs.

As she entered the dining room, she saw Alex sitting at the head of the table, a smile on his face. Valerie and Joseph were sitting to his right, looking like they owned the place, while his parents were also on the table.

"Good morning, everyone," Alex said, his voice booming across the room. "I have an announcement to make. Sophia and I have decided to move up our wedding date. We're getting married in a week."

The room fell silent, with everyone staring at Alex in shock. Valerie's face turned red with rage, while Joseph's eyes narrowed into slits.
