I Want You Out

Ava's POV:

I spent the rest of my day in my bedroom; I just felt weak enough to get out of bed and do other stuff, and I also tried too hard not to think of Yan or his daughter.

I heard my door push open, and I sighed. "Cynthia, just leave," I muttered. She kept coming to check on me, and I didn't want that; I just wanted to be alone.

"It's not Cynthia," I heard Mike say, and I quickly sat up and cleaned my tears.

"Mike, what are you doing here?" I tried acting normal because I didn't want to have a prolonged conversation with Mike explaining why I was crying and all.

"Did you reconcile with Yan?" He asked, and I didn't even know what my reply should be—that we reconciled, and then he left again?

"I did," I answered, and he simply nodded before checking his watch and saying.

"Then why are you in bed crying? Did he hurt you?"
