Genjutsu Showdown!

"Uchiha Itachi…" came a very familiar voice from down the corridor. "I'll kill you!"

Just like he had done in the prime timeline, Itachi had returned to his hometown to show his face around, just to make sure that the Third Hokage's death wouldn't cause Danzō to develop a case of selective amnesia, and forget their special agreement…

Don't you dare touch Sasuke, or I'll defect for real and take the village's secrets to its enemies!

Itachi had easily bypassed the Hidden Leaf's sensory barrier, since the codes to the backdoor had never been changed, as part of his agreement with the Third Hokage. Unfortunately, he and Kisame had ran into Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma and Guy, which had led to a confrontation between the two parties.

The result? Itachi had heavily damaged Kakashi's psyche by using his Tsukuyomi Mangekyō Sharingan Genjutsu on him, torturing Kakashi for what seemed to him like an eternity… before escaping scot-free.

When Sasuke had come looking for him at his house, he had found Kakashi unconscious in bed, and that's when he had overheard his master's fellow Jōnin speaking about his older brother's return, as well as his target… Naruto, of all people. Submerged by his hatred, Sasuke had thrown caution to the wind and escaped the village, desperate to catch Itachi before he disappeared again!

And that is how the current situation had come to be.

"Naruto!" Sakura shouted. "Remember the cooperative Jutsu we developed?"

Sakura's words shook Naruto out of his trance; he nodded once, before assuming the Shadow Clone Jutsu's hand seal. They had never got to use the combo move they had come up with during the Chūnin exams, so better late than never!

"CHIDORI!"

The telltale chirping of a thousand birds, which belonged to Kakashi's signature Ninjutsu, suddenly filled the air, as Sasuke dashed towards his brother, eager to finally have his revenge by thrusting his hand through his heart.

Unfortunately for Sasuke, Itachi's hand suddenly shot out of his red and black robe's sleeve, seizing Sasuke's left wrist and redirecting the Chidori into the corridor's wall, blasting it apart in the process.

"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu + Sexy Jutsu = Harem Jutsu!"

A series of puffs of smoke suddenly spurted out of the floor, and from each one of them jumped out a Naruto Shadow Clone, who simultaneously began weaving the Transformation Jutsu's hand sign, turning into identical copies of Sakura.

"Manyuu Assassination Genjutsu: Breast Illusion!"

Sakura's special Genjutsu had two glaring flaws: the first was that it only worked on roughly half of the population, and the second was that it relied on sight. In other words, if her opponent wasn't staring at her breasts, then Sakura couldn't use sight as a medium to send her chakra into their brain.

But in theory, Sakura's and Naruto's cooperative Jutsu would cover that second weakness— while Sakura was concentrating on building her virtual Genjutsu world, Naruto would take her appearance and serve as a relay for her yin chakra, forcing their opponents to look at Sakura's chest by virtue of his being literally everywhere at once.

And that's basically what they did!

Unfortunately, things went much differently in practice, with the main problem being that Naruto was not immune to Sakura's charms. As a result, Naruto lost control over his Harem Jutsu, which quickly evolved into the Sexy Jutsu: Girl on Girl Action (ver.).

There were Sakura copies making out with each other everywhere in sight!

Naruto had accidentally created an even more devastatingly powerful version of the regular Sexy Jutsu, which was quite the fortunate accident. Unfortunately, Naruto had made an even number of Shadow Clones, leaving none for him to snog with!

Much to Sakura's horror, Naruto, who had received the charmed debuff, dove right into Sakura's deep cleavage and buried his head between her breasts, motorboating the life out of them.

"KYAA!" Sakura shrieked girlishly, desperately trying to extricate herself from Naruto's grasp before he managed to latch his mouth around one of her nipples. "GET-HIM-OFF-GET-HIM-OFF-GET-HIM-OFF!"

In the end, Sakura had to give him a smack, and all of his Shadow Clones exploded into smoke, one after the other. The cooperative Genjutsu had ended just as soon as it had started, leaving Itachi and Kisame completely at a loss for words and Sasuke extremely embarrassed to have Naruto and Sakura as teammates.

However, it's not as if Sakura's Genjutsu didn't have an effect… she had indeed managed to nail Jiraiya, as collateral damage. He had been hiding just out of sight, ready to make his hero's entrance, but upon witnessing Sakura's Jutsu, he had unfortunately a suffered a massive haemorrhage. Jiraiya's nosebleed had caused his blood pressure to drop like a stone, to the extent of knocking him unconscious!

"Are these your friends, foolish little brother?" said Itachi in disgust, turning his attention back to Sasuke. "I let you go last time because you weren't worth killing yet— but, I suppose that you'll never amount to anything, if you keep hanging around these idiots... And if that's the case, then I might as well put an end to your suffering… right after making you watch their executions."

"Don't you dare," Sasuke panted, nursing his injured wrist. "I'm the one you want, Itachi! ME!"

Sakura's eyes widened in fear— she wasn't sure if pre-retcon Itachi would be above killing an innocent Leaf shinobi like her. If he thought that Sasuke cared deeply enough about her, would he really kill her right in front of Sasuke, just to further awaken his Sharingan?

"As if I'd let you!" Naruto shouted, but Kisame slammed the Samehada into his ribs, pinning him against the wall. "What the…?" Naruto groaned. "Can't… summon… my chakra…"

Sasuke roared and swung his fist at Itachi, but his older brother easily batted his arm aside, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him up against the wall. Itachi's eyes began rotating rapidly…

"Tsukuyomi!"

'NO!' Inner Sakura shrieked.

The trauma that Sasuke would relive in the dreamscape was the trigger that would cause him to defect from the village and join Orochimaru, to gain the power to defeat his brother— but Inner Sakura was unwilling to let go of her beloved like this; not if she could help it!

Sakura and Inner Sakura simultaneously threw their spirits at Itachi and Sasuke, invading the Tsukuyomi's dream world. On this, they were agreed— no more playing around; they had to hurry up, since time passed much faster within the Tsukuyomi!

Inner Sakura dove into Sasuke's dream, sinking deeper and deeper. No fancy hand signs or techniques— just a pure contest of yin chakra and willpower. They would soon see which was superior— Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan Genjutsu, or Sakura's Kurama clan Kekkei Genkai!

"Ten hours have passed," said Itachi calmly. "Fourteen to go."

And as those words escaped his mouth, he murdered his dream parents in front of his little brother's dead fish eyes, yet again. Sasuke's mouth was stuck open, frozen in a silent scream. He had been forced to relive the night of the Uchiha massacre for who knew how many times already…

As Inner Sakura fell through the roof of Sasuke's old house and landed next to him, the Tsukuyomi world began wavering and shifting— the Uchiha clan members' corpses, including those of Fugaku's and Mikoto's, began rising from dream death and turning into identical copies of Sakura.

"It's okay," Inner Sakura whispered gently into Sasuke's ear. "I've got you…"

Upon saying those words, Inner Sakura gave Sasuke a light kiss on the cheek, and his dream body turned into a myriad bubbles that began floating to the surface of his consciousness, back to the waking world.

Itachi impassively glanced at the army of Sakura surrounding him; he had somehow lost control of his illusion, but for some reason, his limited ocular power was still being expended. Well, no matter— he simply needed to end his Genjutsu in advance…

"Oh no, we're not done here yet," said Inner Sakura, her eyes flashing dangerously. "I've still got you all to myself for another fourteen hours… Actually, scratch that— let's make it a full three days, why don't we?"
