Jed's brow furrowed in frustration as he found the door knob unresponsive.

"Blasted lock," he muttered under his breath.

Undeterred, he stepped back and barked out an order to those nearby.

"Clear a path!"

With no hesitation, Jed delivered a powerful kick right at the center of the sturdy wooden door. The impact was immediate and forceful - hinges shrieked in protest before giving way entirely. The heavy slab of wood flew open with astonishing velocity, crashing down through empty air until it slammed against the stairs below with a resounding boom that echoed through the darkened corridor.

Yohan and his companions could only gape in shock at this display of raw strength even through the darkness enveloping them all. Only Kian and Jun seemed unsurprised by Jed's feat; Jun immediately seized upon Landon's hand to continue their desperate flight.
