Ch62.2; The End V1.

Fireballs rained down from the sky, hitting down roofs and walls with a boom, leaving the palace in a state of chaos.

The once-majestic halls of the huge palace had been burned, when entire sections of it caught fire.

Hearing the approaching explosions, those who had been hiding came out, hands up in surrender, praying for mercy.

The demonic cultivators, however, didn't care and continued to attack. Before they could even scream, their bodies turned to ash as they were struck by another blast of fire.

Flying on his flying sword, the demonic cultivator approached the ground. A few feet above the ground, he jumped down with ease, his boots banging softly on the ground while his dark robe floated behind him.

Behind the contorted mask, his bright eyes focused upon a trembling guy who was hardly able to stand. They were icy and piercing.

With each ominous step, the cultivator walked toward the man, causing him to tremble and shake his legs. "Where's the queen?" Low and full of evil intent, the demonic cultivator asked.

Fear weakened the man's voice as he spoke. "I... I don't know."

The cultivator shook his head in disappointment. "A waste." He moved his palm, launching a ball of fire that hit the man directly in the chest.

The man screamed in pain for a second before collapsing, turning into a pile of burnt bones, as his body was consumed by flames.

Lan had been in hiding, but now the castle was in flames, devouring everything in their path.

She struggled as the smoke was heavy and gathering around her. She became terrified when she saw how quickly the fire was getting closer.

She whispered under her breath, "Fuck," her eyes wide with fear. "How the hell am I going to get out now?"

Lan quickly ran to the closest exit, her heart pounding in her chest, covering her face with the robe sleeve to protect herself from the smoke.

Lan tried to avoid the falling debris as she ran through the burning hallway, her eyes watering from the heavy smoke.

The sound of flames roared in her ears. She was desperately trying to get out when a ceiling fell on her.

She was smashed on the ground by the big wooden plank that crashed on her. Her body was trapped under the weight as she let out a painful cry. She struggled to break free, arms swaying, panic rising in her, but the weight was too heavy.

The flames touched at the fringes of her robe as they approached her.

She screamed "No... no!" as she aggressively clawed at the floor in an attempt to pull herself out.

However, it was useless because the fire was getting closer too fast. Her clothes caught in the flames, and the heat soon became unbearable.

Her screams were lost in the fire's roar as it swallowed her, causing her body to tremble in pain as she slowly Burned to death.

Floating on his sword above the burning palace, the demonic cultivator looked down with a growing annoyance.

Not only had he failed to find someone with spiritual roots, but he was also unable to find even one attractive woman deserving of his attention. His patience was decreasing.

"All this for nothing," he said bitterly. He let out a sigh and pointed his sword toward the direction of school. "Maybe I'll have better luck there."

Meanwhile,

The fat cultivator descended with his flying sword barely touching the earth as he landed gently at Minister Hu's house.

Behind his mask, his eyes glowed with pleasure as he saw the scene. Near the stables, a group of women, all of whom he considered to be gorgeous, had gathered in terror.

They huddled together, trembling, their eyes wide with fear. As the cultivator approached them, the twisted smile under his mask became wider.

Seeing the stables blazing, these women had remained, unable to go.

To ensure that no one could follow him, Minister Hu, in his cowardly behavior, had given his soldiers orders to burn the stables and kill the horses.

He had hoped that the demonic cultivator would waste time with his women, increasing his own chances of escape. The plan seemed to work. Most of the women hadn't fled, and now they were trapped.

The cultivator approached the women with an almost casual air, waving his hand dismissively. With a flick of his hand, some of the pregnant women held their stomachs in pain, forced miscarriages ripping through them.

Children, close to their mothers, were inspected quickly for spiritual roots. Those without were killed on the spot.

The women, sobbing and terrified, looked helplessly. Lastly, the cultivator casted a sleep spell on them.

Then, he tossed them into his storage bag.

"Well, this is a decent catch," the obese cultivator sighed happily and whispered to himself.

"Cultivators face several challenges in their lives. I might as well enjoy the few pleasures I have available.

Satisfied with his catch, he scanned the now-empty yard before taking one more look at the burning stables. He was happy with the way things had turned out.

The time it took to capture the women and collect a few more victims was made possible only because of this burning stable.

After doing his awful work, the fat cultivator moved away from the burning estate, headed for his next destination: the school.

Zhang Lian was still lost in her thoughts as she sat calmly with her eyes closed in the quiet royal carriage.

The quietness was broken unexpectedly by the sound of wicked laughter.

Cat said, "Nya! The demonic cultivator is here!"

The soldiers outside the carriage tightened up, their hands gripping to their swords.

"Demonic cultivator!" one of them shouted his voice shaking with fear. The others, their faces white with terror, immediately gathered in a defensive circle around the carriage.

Zhang Lian and her maid looked at each other anxiously. Even Zhang Lian, who is normally composed, felt her rhythm skip a beat because of the intense tension in the air.

Mei, sitting next to her, was clearly trembling. Zhang Lian murmured, "Remain composed," but her tone shook a little. A strong wind spell struck before the guards could even lift their swords in defense.

As the spell struck and sliced through the guards mercilessly. Their limbs and blood were scattered over the roadway as their bodies were ripped apart in midair.

The spell's power tore through the carriage itself, sending metal and wood fragments flying in all directions. Only blood-soaked dirt remained after the guards' bodies were distributed around the ground.

As the demonic cultivator hovered on his flying sword, Zhang Lian and Mei sat around the broken remains of the carriage, their eyes wide with fear.

Cultivator fixed his eyes on Zhang Lian, staring at her with a mix of interest and laughter.

Zhang Lian, wearing a light pink robe and with long white hair that fell down her back, Even though her body had become bit fat due to her pregnancies, she still expressed a sense of youthful beauty and grace, her form well-maintained despite the passing years.

The cultivator's eyes swept over her as he sneered beneath his mask. He pondered, "Isn't this the woman from the statue?" "Although a little fatter than I thought, she is much more stunning in person.

Beside her, Mei was shaky and terrified, her body shivering violently. Her eyes looked around for any way out, and she could hardly keep her head up. But there was no hope—they were doomed.

Despite her racing heart, Zhang Lian maintained her composure. She was already considering her chances of surviving, but she was aware that the situation was serious.

Zhang Lian felt a rising uneasiness waving inside her despite her composed appearance.

The broken remains of the vehicle, the split up dead bodies of the guards, their blood staining the ground, her blue eyes ran through the scene of death.

The only people who survived the devastation were her and her maid Mei. Her heart was beating as she asked, "Why?" *What's the point of leaving us alive?

*What's the reason?* She swallowed, spoke in a low, controlled voice to the demonic cultivator who floated above them on his flying blade. "What do you want?" she asked, her voice filled with nervousness.

The cultivator remained silent, He descended gently towards the ground– his glowing sword floating just over the blood-soaked ground, his hidden face showing no expression. He approached Zhang Lian silently, his dark frame towering above her.

Her heartbeat quickened as he approached.

The cultivator moved closer to her before she could respond, and with a quick flick of his hand, he knocked her unconscious.

Demonic cultivator caught Zhang Lian unconscious and put her in his storage bag.

With a sigh, the cat, fluttering close by, murmured casually, "Well, I knew it. You're so beautiful that no cultivators could ever resist you." The cat followed her with a carefree smile and slipped into the storage bag with Zhang Lian.

With a shiver Mei stood next to the now-empty place. Before she could even scream, he moved his hand, delivering a quick and lethal spell.

Mei's body collapsed in an instant, her wide eyes frozen in horror as blood came out of her lifeless body.

Satisfied, the demonic cultivator cast one last glance at the destroyed city. After unleashing a few more destructive spells on the remaining buildings, he turned his attention toward the direction of the school.

Without a second thought, he soared into the air, heading toward the meeting point where his fellow cultivators were waiting for him.

I'm going on a big break for a couple of months as my exams are coming up. I'll be focusing on finishing my syllabus first, which will take at least two months. Once that's done, I'll get back to writing. If I do end up writing during this time, it'll likely just be draft novel chapters here and there. I'll update you if any of them reach at least 30 chapters.

Since I'll be away for a while, I want to leave a few ideas for future story that I've been thinking about:

1. Zhang Lian gets taken away by a demonic cultivator.

2. Zhang Lian gets taken away and dies.

3. Zhang Lian escapes with Chen Gou, and they stumble upon a cultivator's remains, starting their cultivation journey.

4. Inspired by a novel I read, there's a concept of gods in the cultivation world. I'm thinking about including that and maybe introducing travel to other worlds of magic within the cultivation world.

5. Same as above, but Zhang Lian dies and travels to another dimension, where she started everything from beginning.

6. Zhang Lian dies, and the system finds a new owner.

7. Something else—open to ideas.

Also, if you've made it this far and haven't given a power stone or a golden ticket yet, what are you waiting for? At least drop one.🙄

A couple of ideas I have for a draft novel:

1. The MC is overly cautious (he doesn't trust the system, rejects it, doesn't trust the old grandpa in his ring, so he sells him. He praises his enemies and bows before young masters instead of fighting them for women. You can imagine the possibilities).

2. Dino Sovereign – the MC reincarnates into a dinosaur world, grows up with a dino family, and then all of them enter a cultivation world as dinosaurs.

3. A Pokémon-inspired story, but without Ash. It would be set mostly in the background world.

4. Dragon Ball series, but focusing on different aspects, like the calm way of life, not just fighting.

5. His Highness – A story about a loyal servant of "His Highness" who helps the MC take revenge. Since then, the MC follows His Highness and grows stronger to protect him (based on a dream I had).

Some funny novels that are R18:

1. Dickimon

2. Ugly Prince Jiggly Dick.

3. Ash and Pikachu turned into girls.

I'll keep you all updated once I'm back. Good luck with your reading and stay tuned!
