Unusual

Margo watched in panic as Cora's vibrant red vampire eyes faded to their original blue and then to an even lighter shade of blue than she had ever seen in nature. Margo had personally seen hundreds of turnings, and this had never happened before that she knew of.

Cora still hadn't moved or breathed other than opening her eyes, so she still wasn't sure that she was awake. Just as Margo was thinking this Cora sat up. Then in a fast fluid movement was standing beside the bed.

"Cora, how do you feel?" Margo asked softly.

Her eyes swiveled to Margo, and she giggled. It was a sound like a wind-chime, tinkling and light. Margo hadn't had the chance to truly prepare Cora for the world through her new senses. She could see and hear so much better. Her sense of smell would be overwhelming at first.
