Chapter 24: Killing Yunshan

Under the long-range attacks of the Snake People, the alliance army suffered heavy losses. Yunshan realized this approach was futile and decided to minimize casualties by having the strong men above the level of Dou Wang transform their Dou Qi into wings and join him in attacking the Snake People on the city wall.

After a brief discussion, Yunshan took the lead, stepping into the void and flying up. Other Dou Wang powerhouses followed closely behind, including the Youhai Jiao Beast, which also transformed its Dou Qi into wings.

As they approached the city wall, they prepared to attack the Snake People who were launching projectiles. However, the strong men of the Snake Clan were ready for this and immediately moved to intercept.

Jiang Xing, being a Dou Zong, naturally engaged Yunshan. The Great Elder faced off against the Youhai Jiao Beast and another human Dou Wang, while the other Snake Dou Wangs chose their targets and launched their attacks.

After the Snakemen chose their opponents, seven Dou Wang warriors from the Alliance remained, but the Snake People had no more Dou Wang warriors to send. Fortunately for the Snake People, they were defending the city wall, preventing other strong men from the alliance army from joining the fight. The twenty Snake People's fighting spirits could temporarily hold off the seven human Dou Wangs.

"Old dog Yunshan, do you know who killed Yun Yun?" Jiang Xing taunted.

Yunshan's eyes filled with rage. "Could it be you?"

"That's right. Not only did I kill Yun Yun, but you will also die by my hand today!"

"Yun'er, your master will avenge you right now!" Yunshan roared in fury, his murderous intent almost palpable.

"Give me your life, you little brat!" Yunshan charged at Jiang Xing, unleashing his strongest fighting skill—Wind Extreme: Meteoric Kill.

Yunshan had noticed Jiang Xing, a Dou Zong, and was surprised that the Snake People had such a young Dou Zong. However, Yunshan wasn't afraid. He assumed Jiang Xing had reached this level by using drugs, which often resulted in weaker strength compared to others in the same realm. Yunshan was confident his strongest attack would overpower Jiang Xing.

But Yunshan seemed to have forgotten how he had reached the Dou Zong level himself.

Facing Yunshan's attack, Jiang Xing remained calm, almost amused. He could easily break a Profound-level fighting skill released by a one-star Dou Zong. Despite underestimating Yunshan, Jiang Xing was cautious, knowing even a lion uses all its strength against a rabbit.

He quickly condensed his Dou Qi into a palm covered with flames and gently pushed it forward. The flaming palm collided with the sword energy Yunshan had unleashed.

This skill, called Fire Refining Palm, was an intermediate Earth-level fighting skill—the most powerful one Jiang Xing could effectively use after breaking through to the Dou Zong level. Although Jiang Xing possessed higher-level skills, using them would consume too much energy and fail to reach their full potential. Therefore, it's often better to use a skill suited to one's current realm.

When the flaming palm collided with the sword energy, it only paused momentarily before dispersing the green sword energy and continuing its trajectory toward Yunshan with undiminished power.

Yunshan was shocked. He had assumed this young Dou Zong had reached his level through artificial means. But he didn't expect the flaming palm to be so powerful, easily breaking his strongest fighting skill!

Seeing the flaming palm closing in, Yunshan quickly retreated, condensing a transparent shield in front of him and frantically pouring his Dou Qi into it.

When the shield reached its limit, Yunshan's expression eased slightly. The defensive fighting skill he used, Wind Shield, was left by Yun Potian, the founder of their Yunlan Sect. It was even higher in level than Wind Extreme: Meteoric Kill, reaching the lower Earth Rank, with extremely powerful defensive capabilities.

He believed that the shield would withstand the flaming palm, especially since the palm had been partially consumed by his previous attack.

But when the flaming palm touched Yunshan's shield, his expression changed drastically. Only now, in close contact with the flaming palm, did Yunshan realize how terrifying it was.

Cracks began appearing on the shield shortly after the palm made contact. Yunshan, now terrified, continued to pour his Dou Qi into the shield, trying to repair it.

Unfortunately, the flaming palm didn't allow him enough time to repair the shield. After a brief stalemate, it shattered the shield and struck Yunshan.

Yunshan was sent flying backward, blood spraying from his mouth. However, most of the palm's energy had been consumed by Yunshan's two fighting skills, so it didn't kill him outright, nor was it considered a serious injury.

As Yunshan flew back, he used the momentum to retreat to a safe distance. He was shaken by the impact, realizing that he was no match for Jiang Xing. If he continued the fight, he would likely die.

But Jiang Xing had no intention of letting Yunshan escape. He pursued him relentlessly.

Jiang Xing's body movement and fighting skills allowed him to move far faster than Yunshan, and he quickly caught up.

Yunshan, panicked and desperate, shouted, "Wu Protector, save me!"

Jiang Xing smirked. He had already sensed the presence of a Dou Zong nearby and had asked Lin Shan to deal with him. He guessed that this was the Wu Protector Yunshan was calling for.

Without a word, Jiang Xing gathered his Dou Qi and unleashed another attack—a raging fire that blasted toward Yunshan.

This skill, Fiery Kill, was a low-level Earth-rank fighting skill. Although it was slightly less powerful than Fire Refining Palm, its advantage lay in its speed and the fact that it required no charging time.

Yunshan hurriedly conjured another Wind Shield, but there wasn't enough time to strengthen it. The shield was noticeably thinner and more transparent than before.

The raging fire exploded as it touched Yunshan's shield.

As the shield shattered, Yunshan was struck hard by the fire. His eyes filled with unwillingness and confusion before he finally lost consciousness and his body plummeted to the ground.

Jiang Xing played it safe, checking Yunshan's condition again to ensure he was truly dead before returning to the battlefield.

Jiang Xing had killed Yunshan in a flash, and the alliance army hadn't even had time to cheer for Yunshan before he was defeated.

Seeing Yunshan's body fall from the sky and crash into the ground, the human warriors still battling the Snake People were horrified.

What did they see? Yunshan, a Dou Zong, was killed by this young man in just two moves!
