The Mysterious Passageway

"Why were you touching me?" Cassandra demanded, going all shades of mahogany but keeping her voice low. 

"Was I? But my hands are up here and I was busy eating?" He merely shrugged his shoulders making her huff. Seeing her cheeks turning into annoyance tomatoes, Siroos said. 

"Finish your food, I need to show you something," 

Throwing one last glaring look his way, she did as was told but the annoyance didn't recede from her face. 

He coyly watched her finish the last of her flatbread and eggs and then stood up, offering his hand. 

"Come!" He softly asked. 

Cassandra sceptically placed hers in his and left her chair.

Deft fingers wrapped around soft ones as he led her forward. They left the common area, hand in hand. 

Siroos took her to a different passageway than the one which led outside towards the fields and she instantly noticed. 

"Aren't we going the wrong way?" Cassandra confusedly asked.
