"What are you doing here?" I frowned at him in shock. Is appa up to something again?
"Aigo... look at you. Why are you so rude?" Jungkook huffed at me in disbelief. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Jungkook stared at me with a faint smile on his face.
"Yah- Why are you here?" I remained frozen in my position and stared at him with a blank expression.
"I didn't want to come- but I decided to tag along with appa when he said he's coming here," He shrugged, dropping his hands to his side as he held onto the bag of my rice cake.
"If you didn't want to come then- Why are you here?" I crossed my arms unsurely. I can't believe this.
"I've been staying home since I have the flu. I wanted to clear my mind. Home is boring these days, especially without your nosy habits," Jungkook shrugs, turning away from me, and disappears into the kitchen. I carefully filled my glass and drank the water with my eyes trained on him. That's suspicious...
"It seems like Sora bought some rice cake for you, mother," Jungkook smiled as he placed the rice cake down.
"SPSHHSHSH!-" I choked on my water and started coughing in distress. WHAT THE HELL DID HE JUST SAY?
"Sora! Are you okay?! Aigo! You should be careful!" Eomma gasped while patting my back as I frantically coughed in distress.
"MOTHER!? Wha- *coughs* What the hell?!" I glared at Jungkook in shock as I fought the urge to cough.
"Ahh~ I wish I had a son. That's why I called him my son. He's so handsome," Eomma chuckled brightly at Jungkook, who simply smiled at her.
"Eomma! What's wrong with you?! So embarrassing..!" I turned to glare at her in annoyance. How can she say that???
"It's alright. I don't mind. I like it," Jungkook smiles brightly at eomma. I stared at him with my mouth hanging open. Can I murder him?
"What the fuck," I cussed in disbelief.
"Sora!"
"OWW! Eomma!" I cried when eomma suddenly smacked my arm for cursing out loud.
"It's alright, mother. I'm used to her cursing," Jungkook chuckles smugly at me.
"WHAT?! WHEN DID I EVER!?" I snapped my head in his direction in shock. Why is he making things up!?
"SORA!" Eomma scolded me again and smacked my arm, causing me to yelp in pain.
"Eomma! I never cursed! I'm going kill you!" I snapped in frustration as I shot Jungkook another piercing glare. I was about to smack him when appa and Mr. Jeon came strolling into the kitchen.
"Oh, Anneonghaseyo," I bowed at Mr. Jeon in embarrassment. Aish. How can I look at him after all the troubles I caused?
"Sora-shi! I miss you!" Mr. Jeon brightly smiled as if nothing happened between us and pulled me into a warm hug. Oh..?
"Neh, I miss you too," I awkwardly smiled after he released me.
"I should get the whiskey-"
"No- no, actually- I was hoping if we could have some Soju instead. I miss the taste of it," Mr. Jeon shook his head, stopping my mother when she was about to rush to our liquor cabinet.
"Are you sure about that?" Appa glanced at Mr. Jeon in surprise.
"Yeah! Reminds me of the old days," Mr. Jeon chuckles while smacking appa's shoulder.
"I'll go get-"
"Sora and I will go, eomma! Don't worry," Jungkook smiled, tugging me with him. Why is he still calling her eomma?! It's making me uncomfortable!
"Are you out of your mind?!" I snapped, pulling my arm free from his grasp. I'm seriously going to murder him.
"That's a good idea! Go ahead! You're pretty safe around here, don't worry," Appa smiles while patting my shoulder. I turned to glare at Jungkook in frustration. Why does he have to be so annoying?!
"Kaja~" Jungkook smiled. He dragged me out of the kitchen and out of the house. Did he hurt his head? What's wrong with him!??!
"What do you want?" I turned to glare at him when he wouldn't stop grinning. I'm sure he's up to something.
"Nothing," Jungkook grins at me. What's up with him?
"How's everyone doing?" I asked as I thought of Yoongi and Taehyung.
"Your boyfriend is being watched 24/7, so he can't really go anywhere. He seems pissed- to be honest. Taehyung...." Jungkook trailed off uneasily as he stared at the ground.
"Taehyung...?" I questioned, waiting for him to finish the sentence. Suddenly, I felt nervous.
"He's not doing so well. He wouldn't talk to anyone besides Jimin. Doesn't even talk to his parents, and his temper is getting worse. Look at what he did to me when I accidentally mentioned your name," Jungkook grumbled, pulling his collar down to reveal a purple bruise on his shoulder, then covered it quickly.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, looking at my hands guiltily. Taehyung must be pissed, really really pissed.
"Doesn't matter. Wait, shouldn't there be a tree right down the corner?" Jungkook questioned, stopping dead to look at the corner in confusion. Huh... how did he-
"The... tree was cut down years ago. How did you know?" I turned to look at him in shock. How the hell did he know there was a tree at the corner of the street? What the hell??
"Hey, I was born in Busan! I kind of remember the street but not so sure since we moved to Seoul when I was about 13," Jungkook shrugged and walked forward. I didn't know about this?
"Do you ever remember seeing me?" I asked out of curiosity. Jungkook stopped dead and turned to look at me.
"As a matter of fact, were you that chubby girl with messy hair sucking onto a lollipop every day?" Jungkook smirks as he tilts his head at me.
"What the hell are you talking about," I glared at him. Is he mocking me? What a dumbass.
"Just kidding. No, I don't. How the hell would I remember?" Jungkook rolled his eyes before walking forward again.
"Do you want to eat Gimbap? The store makes delicious ones," I questioned, stopping in front of the store.
"You want me to eat at a place like this?" Jungkook stares at me in disgust. Not very humble, huh? He's an alpha, of course.
"Come on. I'm starving," I whined, pulling him through the doorway.
"I'm not eating it!" Jungkook whines as I pull him into the store.
"Then watch me eat or wait outside," I glared at him.
"I'll wait outside," Jungkook rolls his eyes and walks out to stand in front of the shop.
"Tsk, what's so cool about being an alpha?" I scoffed, sitting down by myself to eat. About twenty minutes passed when Jungkook suddenly stomped into the store in frustration.
"Are you done?" He asked with his arms folded as I shoved the Gimbap into my mouth.
"Do I look like I'm done eating?" I questioned, looking up at him with my stuffed cheeks as I slowly chewed the Gimbap in my mouth.
"You're so fucking annoying- What the fuck!" He screamed when I shoved a piece of the Gimbap into his mouth to stop him from bickering with me. He stared at me in shock and slowly chewed the Gimbap in annoyance.
"Shut up, will you?" I sneered. He folded his arm angrily and sat down in front of me.
"It doesn't taste that bad, but the place is filthy," Jungkook huffed, staring at me sternly, so I rolled my eyes at his snobby attitude.
"Did Minah accept your apology yet?" I asked out of curiosity since he seemed happier than usual. Minah left to do an exchange study program abroad for a few months after they broke up.
"Why are you asking?" Jungkook questioned, glancing away uncomfortably. What's with him again?
"Well, you were so heartbroken over-"
"No, I wasn't!" Jungkook suddenly snapped, so I stopped chewing and stared at him with my bloated cheeks.
"Okay... okay... jeez... I was just asking," I shrugged.
"Yeah, she returned to Korea," Jungkook said quietly.
"So, what's your next move?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.
"Nothing, I'm not- stop asking!" Jungkook shot me an irritated glare, refusing to answer me.
"Araso! Why are you so sensitive!?" I snapped, dropping my chopsticks in annoyance. It's impossible to hate Gimbap, but this shithead somehow ruined it. I paid for the Gimbap, then headed out to grab some bottled Soju for the elders. We got back to my house and had a delicious meal together. Jungkook and I left the elders at the dining table to prepare for bed. Knock. Knock.
"Will be right there," I answered, putting my brush down before opening the door to find Jungkook in his usual short pants and an oversized t-shirt.
"What do you want?" I sighed while staring at him in annoyance. Can't he leave me alone?
"Can I come inside? I don't like to be by myself in an unfamiliar place," Jungkook rudely pushed his way into my room with my permission.
"Why even bother asking," I rolled my eyes at him.
"AHhh! AHhhh~ ACHEW! ACHEEEEEW!" Jungkook suddenly turned to sneeze at me right in the face. I stood stiffly in shock with my eyes closed.
"Oh, sorry," Jungkook sniggers, causing anger to surge through me. THIS STUPID SHITHEAD!
"JEON JUNGKOOOK," I screamed, smacking him repeatedly in anger, but he simply laughed at my reaction. He's so fucking irritating! I just showered!
"Sorry!" Jungkook laughs, walking out onto my small balcony to look at the gleaming harbor. He fell silent as he stared at the bright moon in the sky.
"You seem worried," I muttered when I noticed the anxiety in his eyes. He let out a heavy sigh before turning to look at me.
"Another alpha was murdered while you were away," Jungkook exhaled quietly. My heart stopped beating. They're still killing each other?
"Who?" I questioned quietly. They're crazy. I'm kinda glad I escaped, but I'm worried about Yoongi.
"Minah's close friend. The one with short dark hair," Jungkook replied, clenching his fist tightly. Oh, that girl. She always hangs around Minah and her minions.
"How? What happened?" I asked, feeling a bit uneasy.
"Drowned. In her own pool. Really? The autopsy revealed she died even before she reached the pool- considering the bruises on her body. Her spine was snapped into two parts," Jungkook huffed while tapping the balcony railing.
"Is she connected to any-"
"Nope. Nothing at all. Whoever is doing this... is doing it for fun. They're just eliminating the lower ranks," Jungkook shook his head.
"Didn't they arrange another meeting at the elite whatever land?" I asked curiously. Their society is very messed up.
"They did, but whoever is doing it is pretty good at it. We have no evidence," Jungkook shook his head. Yoongi... is he in danger? I shouldn't have left him. But what can I do? I'm sure he's safe with his parents.
"By the way, the alpha ceremony is coming up soon. In a few days. You should come," Jungkook shrugged and turned to look at me.
"I did say I'll go with Taehyung, but I don't think he wants to go with me now. After what I've done to him," I said quietly.
"He needs some space. But you should return to the society because he's so miserable without you," Jungkook shot me this weak smile. Is it even genuine? He looks kind of cute- SORA!
"To be honest, I think he likes you. A lot," Jungkook sighed, glancing away. My cheek flushed red at his words. What...?
"You're talking nonsense," I laughed uncomfortably. What Jungkook said made me feel very weird.
"No, you don't understand. I've been with Taehyung for years. He was always a cold and heartless guy. Doesn't care about any girl, well, he dated a few, but it didn't last longer than a week. But you? He changed so much. He smiles more often, and the way he's being so protective-"
"You're sick, stupid," I muttered, dismissively walking back into my room. Don't listen to Jungkook. He's crazy.
