I quickly took off my dress and pulled on my pajamas before rushing toward the treatment room, but I didn't make it far when I suddenly tripped and fell onto the floor.
"Yah! Be careful!" Taehyung yelped, helping me back onto my feet.
"Thank you," I smiled after dusting myself. My mind is running wild at the thought of Yoongi.
"You scratched your arm against the carpet," Taehyung sighed while staring at my red arm.
"It's fine!" I smiled at him before hurrying down the hallway.
"Yah. You aren't even wearing your slippers," Taehyung scolded after catching up with me.
"Doesn't matter- finally!" I ran up to the door in excitement.
"Sora!" Mrs. Kim appeared. She was sitting beside the door with Mr. Jeon.
"Anneonghaseyo!" I quickly bowed at them. I want to go inside!
"He'll wake up anytime soon. You should be there with him," Mrs. Kim warmly squeezed my hands.
"I will. Thank you," I smiled at her. Taehyung stood staring at me with a neutral expression, so I excitedly patted his arm.
"Go on," She encouraged, slightly pushing me into the room. I bowed at her again before walking into the room. Yoongi was resting on the bed with his eyes closed, but his fingers were twitching.
"I'm here," I whispered, sitting by his bedside. I was overwhelmed by his favorable health condition, so I eagerly watched him breathe under the mask.
"I miss you," I whispered, lightly squeezing his warm hands in the quiet room.
"Omo, you're awake," I gasped when his eyes slowly opened and closed again.
"Yoongi," I stood up with tears in my eyes. I'm not sad! I'm glad he's alright!
"Give it time... give it time," I whispered, watching him squint at the lights in difficulty. He averted his eyes aimlessly to restore his vision and finally turned to me.
"Urgh..." Yoongi grunted and scrunched his face in discomfort.
"I'm here. Sora is here," I smiled while staring at him. He's back.
"S-sora?" Yoongi whispered hoarsely, trying to focus his eyes on me. I tightened my grip and smiled at him in tears.
"I-I'm here!" I sobbed while smiling at him.
"Be careful!" I snapped when he suddenly tried to sit up but collapsed back onto the bed, so I reached out to hold him in place.
"Ow... Sora..." He whimpered, leaning against the bed in exhaustion. Yoongi grunted in difficulty and tilted his stiff neck from side to side to ease his paralyzed muscles.
"Yes? I'm here," I answered while squeezing his hands. Yoongi turned to look at me and searched my face in silence.
"I miss you," Yoongi whispered, linking his fingers around mine.
"I miss you a lot more," I chuckled and wiped away my tears.
"You must be lonely... ow..." Yoongi chuckled but stopped to feel his stomach, then twisted his face in pain.
"Don't laugh! You're hurting yourself!" I snapped worriedly at him. How can he laugh in this condition?
The Game Begins.
Yoongi was able to leave the medical room a week later, but he wasn't allowed to leave the mansion for his own safety.
"They didn't tell my parents about the incident?" Yoongi asks while examining the scar below his stomach in the mirror.
"No, they said it's better if they didn't know," I replied, turning to look at Yoongi, who was shirtless in front of the mirror.
"Good. I don't want to worry eomma," He nods, pulling his shirt over his torso.
"God! I need to get out of this place! I feel like a prisoner!" Yoongi groans and slumps down beside me on the bed.
"We won't be here forever. We should run away," I chuckled, turning to hug him.
"Run away? That sounds nice in this situation," Yoongi whispered while playing with my hair between his fingers.
"Sora! Sora!" A familiar voice called out as he knocked on my door.
"Oh?" I answered, getting off the bed to open the door.
"Where's Yoongi? We have to go somewhere with him," Taehyung appeared before me and glanced past me to look at Yoongi.
"What's going on?" Yoongi questioned, appearing beside me with a baffled expression.
"Here. Wear this and come with us. Don't question me. I have no idea," Taehyung ordered, pushing his expensive Tuxedo into Yoongi's arm. That's when I realize Taehyung was fully dressed. Not for a party though. He was formally dressed.
"What about Sora?" Yoongi asked, turning to look at me with a worried look on his face.
"She can't come," Taehyung sighed and avoided my eyes. What the hell? What's going on?
"I'm not going anywhere without her!" Yoongi snapped, pushing the tuxedo back into Taehyung's arm.
"Sora! You can come too! Dress up formally, please," Mr. Jeon appears in the hallway before rushing towards Jungkook's room to alert his son.
"Jungkook-ah! Hurry up," Mr. Jeon banged on Jungkook's door. Where are we going?? What's going on?
"Meet me at the front door," Taehyung nodded, walking away with a dull expression on his face.
"What the hell?" I whispered after closing the door. Yoongi and I exchanged uneasy glances as we stood in the room.
"It's 10:00 pm. Why are they heading out?" Yoongi whispers.
"Let's just get change," I pull open my closet. We quickly walk out to meet the rest of them at the front door.
"You four have to separate. You can't travel in the same vehicle," Mr. Jeon ordered while standing next to Mrs. Jeon.
"Taehyung, go with Yoongi. Jungkook and Sora in one car," Mrs. Kim spoke in a stern voice. She looks deadly serious. Did something happen?
"We'll see each other safely there," The elders entered their respective cars. Jungkook got inside the car before I did. I tried to get in after him when Taehyung grabbed my hand to hold me back.
"What?" I questioned.
"I'm worried about you," He glanced nervously at Yoongi, who was already in the car and back to me.
"There's nothing to worry about. You should be worried about yourself," I shrugged, then entered the other car with Jungkook.
"What on earth..." Jungkook breathes heavily while buckling his seat belt.
"What? What's going on?" I questioned curiously. He looks nervous.
"I don't want to talk about it. You'll see," He nervously glanced out the window as the entire alpha household made their way out of the mansion in different cars.
"Why are we riding separately?" I continued to question him in confusion.
"Because if something happens, at least some of us will survive," Jungkook clenched his fist and tensed his body. Why is he so nervous?
"Right, and why are you so nervous?" I asked cluelessly.
"Be quiet will you!?" Jungkook suddenly snapped, causing me to fall silent. I shouldn't bother him.
"I'm sorry... just- please... I need time to think..." Jungkook exhaled apologetically.
"Right." I nodded. I'm not mad at him because I can sense his fear.
"Why are you going to the Elite hall?" Jungkook questioned the driver as we drove through a giant gate and into a large field with a few buildings sitting at the base of a mountain. The property was heavily secured.
"Master said we need to make a stop here first," The driver parked the car before opening the car door for us.
"What the hell," Jungkook muttered, glancing around the property in confusion as we got off the car.
"Wae? Why are we here??" Taehyung's voice can be heard four cars away from ours.
"Do you have any idea?" Taehyung asked when he spotted us standing cluelessly by the cars.
"Nope, but I'm nervous," Jungkook shook his head while staring at the huge building.
"Seems like we're not the only ones here though," Jungkook turned to stare at floods of cars entering in through the gates. The bright headlights illuminated us as more vehicles crowded into the property.
"There's an elite meeting," Taehyung combed his hand through his hair in realization. Why are they so frightened? Wae? Wae?
"This is crazy," Yoongi nervously linked his hand in mine.
"Taehyung-ah! Do you know what's going on? I thought we're-"
"I don't know too," Taehyung shook his head repeatedly at Jimin, who was approaching us.
"Weird. My parents won't say anything," Jimin muttered in confusion and turned to stare at the other alphas.
"Mine too," Seokjin, Namjoon, and Hoseok appeared beside us with unsettled expressions.
"I don't believe you. How can you not know anything about this?" Jungkook scoffed at Seokjin.
"I might be the highest rank currently, but I can tell you I know nothing about whatever is going on!" Seokjin snaps in frustration.
"Nice to see you," Namjoon smiled at Yoongi and held out his hand.
"Nice to meet you too," Yoongi shook Namjoon's hand unsurely.
"Min Yoongi! Anneong! I'm Jung Hoseok!" Hoseok waved his hands at Yoongi.
"Hi," Yoongi smiles awkwardly at Hoseok before turning to give me an uncomfortable look.
"Come on. Let's head inside," Jimin led the way. There are about fifty alphas at the moment. We entered the building and my jaws dropped in shock. It was heavily guarded and everything inside was so advanced it's like you're living in the future.
"They came too..." Namjoon eyed Mira and Minho on the other side of the room. The room looks like the UN conference room except it's all white and grey. I'm intimidated... the rich are crazy.
"Eomma? Appa?" Yoongi gasped in shock when he found his parents in the conference hall, so Yoongi fired them a dumbfounded expression.
"Yoongi!" Mrs. Min gasped, pulling her son into a tight hug.
"Why are you guys here???" Yoongi asked while staring at his parents in confusion. I kept on staring at the Mins because I couldn't process their unexpected presence... not at a place like this.
"You'll see!" Mr. Min smiled and patted his son's shoulder with a bright smile. Did the alphas bring them here??? Wae? Why would they bring Yoongi's parents here?
"Come on! Take your seat!" Mr. Jeon beckoned us, so we sat down in the upper third row. Is this because they're ranked third? Seokjin went to sit in the second row by himself while Namjoon, Minho, Hoseok, and Jimin sat in the fourth row with their parents.
"Sit with us," Mrs. Kim pulled me and Yoongi down beside her.
"Eomma, why are you here??" Yoongi turns to ask his parents... dumbstruck by his parent's appearance.
"Oh, Sora! Don't forget to pick up some kimchi for your parents!" Mrs. Min smiled at me.
"Ah... neh. Thank you," I bowed at her. She always made kimchi and pickled radish for my parents back in Busan since Yoongi and I got together.
"Eomma tell me!" Jimin whines at his mom from the row below us.
"Behave yourself Park Jimin!" His mom snaps at him in frustration.
"Eomma what's going on?" Taehyung turns to ask Mrs. Kim as he watches the room fill with alphas.
"Be patient," Mrs. Kim sighed while smiling at Taehyung.
"Appa! Why aren't you telling me anything?!" Seokjin groans at his father from the row above us.
"Don't worry but stay sharp," His father responded shortly.
"Eomma, you haven't informed me about it," Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows, furiously flipping through a mini notebook. Searching for answers.
"That won't help," His mother chuckles at Namjoon.
"Appa, why are we here?" Hoseok asks his father curiously with a bright smile on his face. Like a cute kid.
"Patience Hoseok," His father patted his back repeatedly.
"I have no interest in this, but tell me," Jungkook growls at his mother. It's funny how all of them have different personalities and are attempting to get an answer out of their parents. Who do I have? My parents aren't even here with me.
"You have me, don't worry," Yoongi squeezed my hand.
"Thank you," I smiled at him. Of course, I have him. The room was buzzing with confused-looking alphas... begging their parents to spill the tea.
"May I have your attention please, dear Masters," A chubby man stepped onto the stage and the room suddenly fell silent.
