Four days had passed since Kevin and Elysia's conversation. The words they exchanged still lingered in the air, a constant reminder of the path they had chosen.
In the days since, Elysia had become more disciplined in her training, matching Kevin's rigorous routines with a newfound determination.
Like Kevin, who spent most of his free time training in his personal chamber, Elysia now trained extensively as well. Her focus was sharp, her movements precise. Strangely enough, the amount of Honkai energy she controlled seemed to increase every day. She could feel it, pulsating within her, stronger and more potent than ever before.
Elysia had also honed her ability to convert her Honkai energy into any element she wished, a skill granted to her by the genes of Brahma and her own Herrscher powers. Fire, ice, lightning, and more—all now within her grasp.
The month of June brought with it sweltering heat, a heat that felt like it would never break. Despite the oppressive weather, Kevin remained cool and composed, thanks to his ability to manipulate ice. His unique power had earned him an unlikely fame within MOTH.
Soldiers and researchers alike often asked him to act as their personal air conditioner, much to his quiet amusement. Even Mobius, who rarely left her lab, would occasionally drop by just to enjoy the cool air.
One afternoon, Mobius strolled into Kevin's training room, hands behind her back and an inquisitive look on her face. "Ah, Kevin. Cooling off your fans again?" she teased with a smirk. "How long do you plan on being MOTH's walking air conditioner?"
Kevin, who was in the middle of sketching designs for a new weapon, looked up briefly, offering a half-smile. "As long as you keep sneaking out of your lab to steal some of the cold air," he shot back.
"Touché." She then shifted her tone, more serious now. "How's the progress on your new weapon?"
Kevin set his designs aside for a moment, leaning back in his chair. "It's coming along. I've been working on enhancing the power of SHAMASH. I've added four forms: pistols, a longsword, a spear, and a cleaver. Mei's helping me finish it."
Mobius raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Impressive. Have you tested it yet?"
"Not yet," Kevin admitted. "We're planning to test it soon. The idea is to make it adaptable in any battle situation. The real challenge is balancing the power without compromising control."
Mobius nodded, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Interesting. With that many forms, controlling the flow of energy could become... problematic."
Kevin glanced at her, already knowing what she was getting at. I'll handle it."
Satisfied with his response, Mobius gave him a sly smile. "If anything goes wrong, I'll just blame you."
Kevin chuckled softly before steering the conversation toward another topic that had been on his mind. "Mobius, what's the status on Project Chimera?"
The scientist's eyes gleamed, always excited when her research was brought up. "Ah, Project Chimera. We've been testing it on various animals and subjects. There's promising progress. Give it another month, and I think we might have a breakthrough."
Kevin hummed in acknowledgment. "Good to know."
As their conversation ended, Kevin refocused on his weapon, finalizing the design with Mei's help.
Mei's delicate touch and precision enhanced Kevin's raw power and vision. By the time they finished, SHAMASH was no longer just a weapon—it was an extension of Kevin himself.
"Looks perfect," Mei commented, wiping the sweat from her brow. She glanced up at Kevin, who inspected the weapon closely.
"It feels right," Kevin agreed, his voice quiet but filled with satisfaction.
The time had come for the weapon's first real test. In the vast training grounds,Mobius and Elysia were present, Mei was sitting on chair to witness new Divine Key.
Kevin took 5 days to prepare this weapon. This weapon will be something special. Mei thought.
Kevin stood in the center of the field, gripping the newly-forged SHAMASH as Elysia ,mei and Mobius watched from a safe distance.
"You sure about this?" Mobius called out, her tone half-mocking, half-serious. "We don't want to accidentally blow up the place."
Kevin smirked, his gaze unwavering as he answered, "Don't worry. Just stay back."
Mei then push a button and a wall was formed near them and mei wear glasses without mobius noticing.
After that, Kevin focused his energy, and the weapon began to take shape in his hand, glowing with an intense red light.
The SHAMASH shifted, transforming into its longsword form. As soon as Kevin grasped the hilt, he infused it with his energy, and an immense wave of heat radiated outward.
The ground around Kevin began to crackle and sizzle, the sheer intensity of the heat warping the air itself and melting the area.
Elysia reacted quickly, raising a barrier around them to contain the energy. Even Mobius found herself squinting, the blinding light forcing her to rub her eyes in disbelief.
"That's... impressive," Mobius muttered under her breath, momentarily stunned. She blinked several times, trying to focus. "Okay, I didn't expect that much power."
Elysia, standing beside her, grinned playfully. "Mobius, are you rubbing your eyes? Looks like it's time for you to go back to being four-eyed again."
Mobius shot her a sideways glare. "I don't need glasses, thank you very much."
And Mei when did you wear glasses. You know this would happen. Mobius looked at Mei with angry eyes.
Elysia and mei just giggled in response, the tension in the air lightened by her teasing.
Kevin, meanwhile, swung the longsword experimentally, and with each swing, the space around him seemed to shudder, as if the weapon itself was bending reality. The raw power it exuded was undeniable, and the atmosphere around them grew thick with pressure.
Elysia marveled at the weapon's strength. "Kevin, this... this is incredible. The space around you—it's cracking from the power."
Kevin nodded, a rare smile crossing his face. "It's exactly what I hoped for. This weapon will be crucial in the battles to come."
After several more tests, Kevin finally powered down the SHAMASH, the longsword fading back into its dormant state. He glanced back at Mobius and Elysia, satisfied with the results.
So strong. The space might collapse if Kevin used his power level with the key of destruction. Mei said aloud.
Mobius gave a slow, approving nod. "Not bad, Kevin. But next time, try not to blow a hole in the dimension."
Kevin chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind."
Elysia approached Kevin, her eyes still sparkling with excitement. "You've really outdone yourself this time, Kevin."
Kevin's expression softened as he looked at her. "I couldn't have done it without Mei's help."
Mei crossed her arms, smiling faintly. "Yes. It's better if you rely on us. Otherwise, you might get a little too full of yourself."
Elysia grinned, her usual playful demeanor returning in full force. "Of course! Mei and I have to keep you in check. Otherwise, you'd get too... *kinky* all the time."
Kevin raised an eyebrow. "Why. Did i go something wrong"
Mei rolled her eyes. "That's because nearly every vixen in MOTH seems to be interested in you."
Kevin just shook his head. "I'm not responsible for this mess. You two are the ones who need to keep them from throwing themselves at me."
He casually shifted the responsibility to Mei and Elysia as if it was no big deal. The two women stared at him in disbelief, their eyes wide with shock. Even Mobius, who had been standing nearby and listening, blinked in surprise.
The three women exchanged knowing glances. Then, without warning, pink, purple, and green lightning bolts shot out from their hands, all aimed squarely at Kevin.
"Why are you all teaming up against me?" Kevin grumbled, ducking to avoid the incoming blasts.
"Because," Elysia said sweetly, "you made the mistake of suggesting this was our problem to deal with."
Mei nodded, her expression teasing. "Exactly. You should've known better than to try and pin this on us."
Kevin sighed, shaking his head as he dodged another playful strike. "I'm only stating the truth."
But there was no escape for him now. Elysia, Mei, and even Mobius had formed a united front, combining their efforts to torment him. Elysia's magic crackled around her fingers, Mei's electricity danced in the air, and Mobius, despite her usual aloof demeanor, added her own small contribution to the barrage.
Kevin knew he couldn't win this battle, so he took cover behind a nearby console.
When the flurry of energy finally ceased, Kevin peeked out from his hiding spot. Elysia and mei laughed at his antics while mobius showed a small smile.
"Alright, alright," Kevin said, standing up and brushing off imaginary dust. "I'll admit defeat this time."
Elysia winked at him. "Good. You should know by now that there's no winning against us when we're on the same team."
Mei smirked, crossing her arms again. "Maybe next time you'll think twice before trying to shift the blame."
Kevin smiled faintly, the brief tension gone. "You three." He sighed and just lay on sofa.
