"No, Daniel, it won't happen. I cannot allow you to work here." Gracey denied his request the tenth time, but the boy remained persistent in convincing her.

She couldn't understand why he was so adamant on working at the bakery when he could sit in his room and play video games or simply relax. But instead, he was trying to persuade her to let him work with her throughout her vacation.

"What's wrong with me helping you, Gracey? It's a better way for us to spend time together than for me to sit on the table and watch you run across the room collecting orders," he queried, perplexed as to why she was so resistant to his aid.

"That is because you have never done it before, and Mom will be upset if I ask her boss's son to run errands at her small baking shop. So please drop that plan and go home," Gracey said, giving no space for argument.
