It didn't take much time for Barry to finish his heroic duty. After helping the cops capture the criminal, he returned to join Iris, Caitlin, and Swayam. They enjoyed their time together, but as it was getting late, they decided to part ways.
As Caitlin's date, Swayam dropped her off at her house, where they shared a passionate kiss. Caitlin, understanding Swayam's hesitance, took the initiative and kissed him first. She was honestly astonished that Swayam even asked her out on a date.
On their first date, Caitlin had realized that Swayam had no romantic experience, which surprised her because he was such a loving and caring person. She wouldn't have been shocked if he had said he had multiple partners in his previous world. At one point, she even thought that the girls in Swayam's previous world were complete idiots for not appreciating him. However, she was also thankful for his lack of experience, as it allowed her to enjoy his gradual growth in romance and see him try his best to make their dates great.
After this second date and the passionate kiss, they confirmed that they mutually wanted to pursue each other romantically and were now officially dating.
The next morning, they told their mutual friend Cisco about their new relationship.
Cisco, who was already aware of their feelings for each other since they were not subtle about it, knew they would end up as a couple eventually. Being a good friend, he congratulated them instead of mocking or making fun of them.
While they were having a casual conversation, Barry entered the lab and started explaining why he thought the murderer of the Darbinyan Crime Family was a metahuman.
After listening to Barry's speculations, Harrison Wells, fascinated by the idea of such a metahuman, was the first to speak. "Fascinating, truly fascinating. A metahuman that can manipulate poison gas."
Cisco, excited by the idea of such a metahuman, asked, "Is it just poison gas, or can he control all aerated substances?"
This metahuman also attracted Caitlin's scientific curiosity, prompting her to ask, "How's he able to form the connection? Is it physiological or psychological?"
Harrison Wells added, "This individual can create a mental nexus using gaseous substances."
Cisco, understanding what Dr. Wells said, continued, "You mean connect with gases on a molecular level? That is ridiculously cool."
Seeing them extremely excited about the new metahuman's capabilities, Swayam looked towards Barry and Joe and explained, "They get excited about this stuff."
Joe, listening to Swayam's explanation, shared his concern, "The only thing I'm excited about is putting criminals behind bars. Except Iron Heights isn't exactly equipped to handle metahumans."
Harrison Wells, dismissing the deaths of the previous two metahumans, said without a hint of sympathy, "I guess it's fortunate the ones we've encountered so far are no longer with us."
"Well, unless we're planning to execute every super-criminal we stop, you geniuses are gonna have to come up with some place to hold them," Joe said, asking them to create some kind of prison for metahumans.
Cisco, being smart, immediately understood Joe's request. "A metahuman prison. Sweet."
Harrison Wells agreed and suggested, "Until we figure a way to remove their powers."
After hearing their conversation, Cisco hesitated before suggesting, "There is one place here that might hold them."
Caitlin, who had been silent until now, immediately understood which place Cisco was talking about. She looked at him and said, "You can't be serious. We haven't been down there since..." After a brief pause, she continued, "...it's cordoned off."
Harrison Wells, ignoring Caitlin's concerns, agreed with Cisco. "Cisco is right; it could be modified to act as a makeshift prison."
Barry, curious about what they were discussing, asked, "What could?"
"The particle accelerator," answered Cisco, Swayam, and Harrison Wells in unison.
Caitlin, who had sad memories of the particle accelerator, remained quiet. Swayam, seeing her reaction, walked towards her and embraced her in his arms. "I'll wait for you to open up to me."
Since Swayam entered her life, Caitlin had somewhat managed to cope with Ronnie's loss and started to move on. However, there were still times when mentions of Ronnie or the particle accelerator explosion saddened her.
If the particle accelerator hadn't malfunctioned, Ronnie wouldn't have perished trying to save everyone's lives. And if the particle accelerator hadn't exploded, Swayam also wouldn't have accidentally arrived in this world. Although the particle accelerator took Ronnie from Caitlin, it also brought Swayam into her life, leaving her conflicted about the incident.
