Punch and Sanction

The second quarter was over when the coach blew his whistle. The tension began to drop but silence fell over the basketball hall for a few seconds. None of them seemed relaxed or unfocused on the match that had just taken place.

After all, the match between Team B and Team C had been a thrilling one, with points chasing each other relentlessly. If this was an official competition, the crowd would have applauded them all.

That was the final score of the match. Although there were hardly any draws in official matches, the coach did not call for extra time and kept the atmosphere serious.

Gilbert watched the ring in front of him while imagining what had happened during the match. As the match entered the final minute, he had a golden opportunity that could have led Team C to their second win and the top of the table in his imagination. Unfortunately, it was all thwarted by a finger that came out of nowhere.
