"Don't follow me in here. I want to be alone and think. I will scream if you follow me inside the room."
Rika made her choice clear as she slammed the door shut on her guard's face. The alpha looked stunned and angry enough to curse at her.
His gaze made Rika shudder and feel dirty. She did not like the looks she got from the passer-by alphas. They looked at Rika like she was a piece of meat they all wanted to chew on.
She was not a treat for them to feast on; she was just someone trying to live her life without any worries.
'Worthless alphas! What gives them the right to look at me like that? I want to tear their eyes apart and chew on them. No one gets to look at me like that except my alphas!'
Rika paused a little bit when she raged. These thoughts were as good as a confirmation that she had an alpha (or two) she could not remember. But it felt…. right to think about her alphas in this context.
