As evening approaches, Sable brings me to a small hill near her castle.
There I spot a grave underneath a tree.
"This is my mother's grave," Sable speaks sadly.
I take her hand in mine and read the inscription on the grave: "Anastasia Sablinova, beloved wife and mother."
"When I was seven, my father's enemies attacked our base. My mother and I were visiting Father at that time. One of the man shot my mother, and she bled to death in my arms," Sable recounts with a look of hatred on her face.
"My mother didn't like violence. She didn't like the Wild Pack and did her best to keep me away from that life," Sable continues, looking at the grave with a sad smile. "Even during her last breaths, she made me swear not to continue my father's violent fight. I agreed as she died in my arms that I would stop the violence, but... only after avenging her death," she explains, gripping my hand tightly with pain in her voice.
"I learned everything I could from my father. I trained, I fought, I killed. I joined the Wild Pack as a teenager and even became my father's right hand person, with just a single goal in mind: to avenge my Mother!" She declares with a determined look, and I intertwine my fingers with hers to provide comfort.
"And just two months ago, we were able to track a lead of that same man who killed my mother to Tokyo. We attacked that base, but he was prepared and had set up a trap. My father was stabbed and killed in front of me by him,"she recounts somberly. "That bastard even took my father's body with him. I didn't even have my father's corpse to put in his grave!!" she exclaims, her whole body shaking with anger.
I had known about her story; I had read it. But hearing it from her own mouth was something else. I could feel her anger, her pain, her suffering. It was heartbreaking! I couldn't believe that after all these horrible experiences, she still found the strength to keep going.
"I cried that day after a long time. And after that, I made a decision to mask my emotions, to be more strategic, more ruthless. It was as though my thirst for revenge required me to set aside my feelings," Sable says with a calm face.
She then turns towards me, a sad smile breaking through her calm facade. "I am sorry, Lucas," she admits, taking a deep breath. "I tricked you. I wanted your company to invest in Symkaria, and when I saw how you were interested in me, I promised you a date in exchange for your visit here," she admits, looking down in shame.
"At first, I thought I would just give you a tour of Symkaria and point out the areas in need of development. Yet, I never expected to find such enjoyment in your company," she confesses with a wry smile. "You are a remarkable individual, Lucas, and today brought me immense joy," she adds, a small smile gracing her lips.
"You are truly a perfect gentleman, but I can't allow myself to be with you. My duty to avenge my father and mother comes first. I cannot afford to be swayed by any other emotions until my mission is fulfilled," she declares with a solemn expression."These hands are stained with blood, and this path of blood will not stop until I kill him!" she adds as she withdraws her hand from mine.
I gaze upon her radiant face and can't help but smile. I am truly impressed. While I was aware of her Indomitable will, capable of resisting world-class telepaths and even gods, that was something her future self did in comics. Yet, it appears that her future achievements are already beginning to surface.
I am thinking about her mental resistance because, from the moment I met her, I have been using my powers, A Hero's Reward and Submission Aura, on her. I was just testing them out and had no intention of abusing them, unlike the special case with Valeria.
This resulted in only highlighting that even Valeria, who harboured love for Victor for years, succumbed to my influence. Yet here stands Silver Sable, not only resilient against my abilities but also even actively rejecting me!
She is truly an incredible woman, and her rejection just makes me want her even more.
She looks at my smile with puzzlement. "Ivan Trefkov," I speak out the name slowly.
"How do you know that name?" she demands in alarm, stepping away from me.
"He is the person who killed your mother and father, isn't he?" I continue, still smiling.
"Lucas, tell me how you know that name," Sable insists, her body tensing for combat.
"Well, at least you didn't attack me, so I count that as a win," I respond with a smirk, pulling my mobile phone from my pocket. The movement triggers Sable, but she keeps her calm, her sharp eyes fixed on me.
"D.A.I.S.Y., could you display how great I and Sable look together?" I jest, chuckling at Sable.
"Sure, Luke," comes D.A.I.S.Y.'s reply. Instead of looking at the phone, I toss it to Sable. She catches it promptly and looks back at me in confusion.
"Why don't you look at the screen?" I suggest with a smile.
Sable glances at the phone screen and she sees a top-down view of her head? She abruptly looks up, but there is nothing in the air.
"Did you notice how good we look together?" Luke's voice startles Sable from beside her. She must have really let her guard down for him to come so near her.
I smile at her surprise and point her to the screen, now showing both of us standing together.
"Is this a real-time satellite image?" Sable asks, confused.
"Correct, and this," I double-tap the video feed, making it tiny as multiple screens pop over my small mobile screen, "this is the real-time image of every major country in the world" I say as she looks at those screens in surprise.
She taps over one small screen and sees the Big Ben in London, UK.
"Honestly, this screen is too small to really show you how impressive this is, but basically I can have a live feed of the whole world, not just the major cities. And here's the fun part, I can also track anyone down with it," I explain with a smirk.
The gears in Sable's mind turn instantly. "Where is Ivan Trefkov?" she asks aloud to the phone.
"The individual isn't currently within sight," D.A.I.S.Y.'s voice answers... And Sable's expression falls.
"Accessing last known location," a small screen enlarges and occupies my whole mobile screen. "Last known location: Two weeks ago, Long Island, New York," D.A.I.S.Y. announces as the screen shows a beach on Long Island.
Sable's downcast mood lifts as she clenches the phone tightly, looking at the screen seriously.
"Is this real?" she asks, looking back at me. "Luke, tell me that this is real," she asks earnestly.
"Why would I lie to you, Silvija? See, it isn't that difficult to find a criminal. The next time he shows his face in the open, I will instantly know, and then you can have your revenge," I assure her with a small smile.
"Luke!!" Sable exclaims in excitement as she pounces on me. I catch her by her waist as her hands wrap around my neck. I feel her soft breasts pressed against my chest. As I look down, I notice that her face is flushed with excitement.
The next thing I know, I find myself being kissed, her soft lips pressed against mine. As she tries to break the kiss, I hold her waist tightly and keep her close. Instead of ending the kiss I start savouring her soft pink lips one at a time.
Before long, my tongue ventures into her mouth, and to my surprise, she responds eagerly, meeting my tongue with hers. Her mouth tastes of the desserts we had earlier, and our tongues engage in an epic, long battle.
At last, we both yield and break the kiss. Taking in Sable's flushed, rosy cheeks, I can't help but smile. "You look absolutely stunning," I remark warmly.
Sable smiles at my comment. "Thank you, Luke. You don't know how much this means to me. I was ready to wait for years before finding another clue about him. But with your help, I could possibly find him tomorrow!" she says her excitement not subsiding.
"And here I thought you were thanking me for the kiss," I respond with a smirk.
"The kiss was wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better first kiss," she replies, smiling at me.
"I live to serve," I remark with a smile.
"Luke, but…" she begins with a bitter smile.
"Look, this shows that you will be able to avenge your mother and father sooner with my help. So you don't have to push me away and mask your feelings. Together, we can finish your mission easily," I say, kissing her forehead lovingly.
She looks up at me, a small loving smile on her face. "Come, I haven't introduced you to my mother," she mentions, pulling me towards her mother's grave with a heartfelt smile.
I let her lead me, thinking about the two things I was still hiding from her. First, that Ivan Trefkov might be part of Hydra, and second, that her father might be alive and under Ivan's personal 'care'.
I didn't tell her because these things that I knew from my meta-knowledge could be proved wrong in this world. I didn't want to give her false hope only to have it dashed in the future!
Did no one notice her mother's name :P
