Chapter 89: A New World (Part 2)

"Did it cause a big commotion?" The incident of the Ukrainian Ironbelly escaping from Gringotts caused a significant stir in the wizarding world. The Daily Prophet ran stories about the event for several consecutive days. The Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, issued a statement in the newspaper, claiming it was just an accident and that there was no risk of dragons attacking humans.

In ancient times, dragon attacks on humans were common when humans were weaker. However, in modern society, such occurrences are rare. The reason they are rare, rather than nonexistent, is because there are places even the Ministry of Magic can't keep in check, especially in magical wilderness areas.

For instance, Africa is a magical wilderness area and the place where the most obscurials are born. It's also the most chaotic place in the world, a paradise for criminals, black wizards, bounty hunters, and gold diggers.

This situation arises because Africa is home to the largest number of magical creatures, some of which are extinct in other places. For example, the Thunderbird is a rare and powerful magical creature comparable to a phoenix. If it weren't for the Thunderbird in New York back in the day, the magical world might have been exposed to Muggles.

The Thunderbird has the ability to create storms and, combined with its venom, can cast a city-wide Obliviate charm. This illustrates the power of magical creatures. Given their strength, they are naturally invaluable. Even without their abilities, their sheer beauty makes many willing to take risks.

Besides Africa, the Amazon Rainforest is another place teeming with magical creatures. As human footprints continue to expand, these creatures are forced to live in such primeval forests.

Due to human expansion, especially those extreme adventurers who venture into dangerous places, newspapers in the Muggle world occasionally report sightings of strange creatures. Fortunately, the Ministry of Magic does a good job of covering up such news. Even if some magical creatures are discovered, they are usually dismissed as unknown species.

However, the presence of wizards, werewolves, vampires, centaurs, giants, and magical creatures makes these areas extremely dangerous for those adventurers.

Unlike the wizards of Kamar-Taj, who rescue people climbing the Himalayas, the wizards of this world have no intention of saving those adventurers.

The wizards of the Ministry of Magic particularly despise these adventurers, as their activities increase the workload of the wizards, who often have to cast Obliviate charms on them.

Although Fudge publicly claimed the incident was accidental, the Ministry secretly had many Aurors investigating it. Don't forget, this world has magic like the Tracking Charm. While Daniel Davis used a powerful spell to erase his traces, some evidence is impossible to completely eliminate.

Daniel knew many details about the vaults, such as Harry's vault, which was full of gold coins. However, Daniel didn't touch Harry's money.

"If I had known, I would have left a Death Eater mark. But given Fudge's behavior, he probably would have covered it up anyway."

Soon, Daniel stopped caring about how the goblins and the Ministry dealt with the intruder at Gringotts. They would never find out, even if they tracked the dragon.

"I got several wands. This time, I really struck gold." No wonder it was a Death Eater's vault; it contained not just gold coins but also potions, herbs, and wands, all of which Daniel now possessed.

Fudge didn't further leak the details of the Gringotts incident, likely because the victims were Death Eaters. Exposing this would stir trouble, something Fudge absolutely couldn't allow. If the Death Eaters caused unrest, he wouldn't stand a chance of re-election as Minister of Magic.

"Dragon blood is indeed remarkable. Although it doesn't live up to the legendary benefits, it's still quite good." Daniel sighed as he soaked in a tub filled with dragon blood.

Dragon blood's use isn't limited to bathing; that would be wasteful. It can also be made into dragon blood wine, which is highly beneficial for health. An ordinary person drinking it for a few days might never fall ill again.

No wonder healing spells, potions, and herbs dominate the magical world, with few remedies for diseases. This likely relates to the health benefits of magical substances like dragon blood.

If the magical world could coexist peacefully with the Muggle world, the future would be bright, certainly better than the chaotic Marvel universe. The Marvel universe is too disorderly, with black tech emerging frequently, countless superpowered individuals, and aliens—nothing like the peaceful world of Harry Potter.

"Looks like Gryffindor won't win the House Cup this term." After greeting Dumbledore and Grindelwald, Daniel planned to return to the magical city. Seeing the Golden Trio, he thought of this.

In the original story, Gryffindor always overshadowed Slytherin, thanks to Dumbledore's favoritism. No matter how many points Gryffindor lost, Dumbledore would add enough at the end of the term. However, Harry genuinely achieved a lot, so Dumbledore's point additions were not widely questioned. But now, it's different.

The Golden Trio has changed; Ron has finally stood out thanks to his talent in board games. He was the least noticeable in the original trio but now has found his place.

However, this newfound status means Ron seems to have found a girlfriend early on, making his future with Hermione uncertain, even to Daniel. The same goes for Harry; Ginny's future is also shaky.

Daniel had no intention of playing matchmaker and could only leave it to their fate.

"Big brother!" In the magical city, cell phones were already on the market. The first batch of phones were not the sleek devices of the future but the large, bulky models Daniel had only seen in movies, perfect for showing off or even using as a weapon. They were also very expensive.

Despite the cost, many people in the magical city owned these bulky phones. There are always wealthy individuals, regardless of the world. With Daniel's intervention, pagers probably wouldn't find a market.

Don't underestimate pagers. While they seem low-tech, it's because you haven't seen high-tech versions. Look at Fury's pager, which can signal across galaxies to summon Captain Marvel.

In Harry's China, few base stations were built because they had satellites. Daniel had bought several satellites, making base stations unnecessary.

After briefing the CEO on matters, Daniel began gathering supplies to return to the Marvel world. These supplies included various foodstuffs, herbs, elements, and even a few people who had tried their luck.

"This trip cost several million." With this thought, Daniel appeared in his villa in the Marvel world. Strictly speaking, Daniel's mention of millions was an exaggeration. If Pym Particles were sold, that price would be accurate, maybe even higher. But for personal use, the cost plummets.

Just like how Hank Pym uses Pym Particles daily, if they were that expensive, he wouldn't afford it.

With his current assets in both worlds, Daniel could travel daily, just like Stark flying on a private jet. Daniel's habit of counting costs stems from his past as an ordinary person, not yet accustomed to being a wealthy upper-class individual.

Daniel differed significantly from nouveau riche who flaunted their wealth extravagantly.

"Indeed, the timelines of the two worlds have balanced. Time is truly a mysterious thing." Looking at the Time-Turner in his hand, Daniel gave up pondering about time after a headache. He obtained the Time-Turner from Grindelwald.

While Harry Potter's magic seems low-level, it excels in space and time, particularly with the Time-Turner. Although wizards avoid using time magic, they can create Time-Turners, and importantly, these devices are quite numerous in Harry's world.

Most Time-Turners are used by geniuses like Hermione for studying. Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and even Voldemort have used them for this purpose.

So far, Time-Turners are primarily used for learning. Attempting to change history might trigger unforeseeable consequences, which is probably why Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Voldemort didn't use them to alter events.

Dumbledore's greatest regret is his sister's death, but even so, he never considered using a Time-Turner to save her. Similarly, Grindelwald didn't use it to change his fate.

As for Voldemort, it's clear he didn't use a Time-Turner to revive himself.

Daniel speculates that changing history might create parallel worlds. Any alteration would affect only a parallel world. However, this is just his guess.

"I found the Blood Orchid. Should I pick you up?" After organizing everything and completing his experiments, Daniel contacted Ada Wong. During his absence, Ada had reached out to him, and Red Queen recorded it. Learning that Ada had found the Blood Orchid, Daniel was thrilled.

"No need, I'm in New York now." Ada hung up the phone and soon arrived at Daniel's villa.

"Not inferior to the Stairway to the Sun." Seeing the bright red Blood Orchid Ada handed over, Daniel analyzed it with his Op-Op Fruit power, then set it aside. He could

 experiment later; for now, he wanted to spend time with Ada.

Ada not only found the Blood Orchid but also located its growth area and marked it. This means Daniel could visit the site anytime.

Although there are many large snakes in that area, Ada's current strength makes them no threat to her. Her enhanced physique allows her to wield more powerful weapons.

"By the way, I have something good for you." After a moment of silence, Daniel set up a few things and led Ada to the bathroom.

"What are you planning? Want to take a bath together?" Ada smirked, seeing the bathroom ahead. With her intelligence, she could easily guess Daniel's thoughts.

"Stop overthinking. I brought you here for something important." Daniel's face reddened slightly. He had feelings for Ada but was still a novice at courting women. Unlike Stark, who often teased him about it and even offered to teach him, Daniel was far less experienced.

"Something important?" Ada's expression was playful.

"Of course, it's important." Daniel cleared his throat and led her into the bathroom. The bathroom was enormous, almost like a bathhouse. It was a luxurious space befitting the wealthy.

After entering, Ada followed him inside.

"This is dragon blood." Daniel pointed to a small tub filled with red liquid. Using it in the large tub would be too wasteful.

"Dragon blood?" Ada was surprised, her initial expression towards the red liquid wary, but upon learning about its benefits, she looked moved.

"Indeed, it's rare and precious."

"If it's so valuable, why not share it?" Ada removed her red coat and shirt, revealing her red lingerie underneath.

"No, it's best to absorb it alone for optimal effect. You should stay in there overnight." Daniel quickly turned and left. Seeing his somewhat hurried departure, Ada couldn't help but laugh.

"Such a missed opportunity." After leaving the bathroom, Daniel regretted his decision. However, going back was out of the question. He sighed in disappointment and walked away.
