Night Attack

On the first day he joined the team, Shintaro got to know the four members and a dog.

The first day went smoothly. Inuzuka Gaku's team patrolled the front lines and returned to camp.

Shintaro's front unit was usually responsible for patrolling the front lines, but since there were many teams at the front, they weren't too busy.

At night, the weather was quite cold in the Land of Rivers in late autumn. The team gathered around a campfire outside the camp to warm themselves and heat their dinner.

Among the remaining people, only Shintaro could keep up with Gaku's speed and disappeared from his spot.

Daichi immediately exclaimed, "Wow! Shintaro can run as fast as the captain!"

Isamu said in disbelief, "No, he might be faster than the captain!"

Takuto said with a sleepy expression, "We'd better catch up quickly…"

The three of them also started running, but they couldn't keep up with the speed of the other two.

A while later, Shintaro and Gaku arrived at the training tent.

Shintaro sensed Orochimaru was in the camp.

With a tearing sound, the tent was ripped apart.

A giant snake coiled around a ninja and lifted him high. The ninja kept struggling in the air but to no avail.

"Why betray Konoha?" Orochimaru's cold voice sounded from the tent.

The ninja didn't answer, and then the giant snake tightened its body and choked the ninja until he passed out.

Orochimaru retracted the giant snake, walked out of the tent, and casually lifted the ninja's collar like he was picking up a bag of trash.

Orochimaru turned to Shintaro and Gaku, who had just arrived, and said, "Someone betrayed Konoha, collaborated with Kumogakure, and stole Konoha's defense map. Minato is pursuing them. You go too."

"Yes!" Shintaro and Gaku immediately turned around and ran.

Along the way, Shintaro saw many Konoha ninjas wounded and lying on the ground, groaning, and some had lost their lives.

Surely the Kumogakure ninjas who dared to infiltrate Konoha's camp at night were elite forces.

After chasing for a while, Shintaro used his Six Eyes to explore and study the situation ahead.

A twenty-member Kumogakure team was fleeing, divided into six groups, and only Minato was pursuing them.

But even so, the Kumogakure ninjas were captured and eliminated one by one by Minato.

This showed how oppressive Minato's presence was on the battlefield.

Shintaro then pointed in a direction, the team furthest from Minato, where they might be able to help.

Gaku ran while sighing in his heart: "Why can this kid run faster on two legs than I can on four?"

Although their speed wasn't as fast as Minato's, it was still top-notch in the ninja world.

So they could still catch up with the three Kumogakure ninjas.

Shintaro then used a kunai to close his throat, ending the Kumogakure ninja's life.

On the other side, Gaku transformed Kiromaru into his own form, then both crouched on the ground and started spinning at high speed into two tornadoes to attack the other Kumogakure ninja.

The Kumogakure ninja was on guard, and he drew his sword and slashed at the tornado beside him.

However, at this moment, his back was hit by the tornado behind him. Before he could change his expression, he flew out and crashed into a big tree, making no sound.

But the other Kumogakure ninja didn't react at all even after his two teammates were killed and continued fleeing at full speed.

It seemed this ninja was the type to prioritize the mission.

Shintaro and Gaku were about to catch up when a special kunai flew from a distance.

The kunai had three pronged blades and a light yellow handle.

The kunai flew towards the Kumogakure ninja and hit the ground in front of him.
