I snapped my body around, but there was nothing. Only my door, being slightly opened the way I left it just now. Somehow, hairs on the back of my neck, arms and legs stood--which was why I wasn’t feeling good. I should have turned the lights on. I’ve never been a friend of darkness.
I hurriedly put my bra on and wore my shirt and shut the closet. My bedroom door creaked open, and that startled me to the core. I let out a small scream, turning around, my back smacking the closet.
My heart thumped and my eyes widened as I caught a glimpse of shadow behind my door. The lights from the hallway began to fill the room as the door moved, and my vision started to recognize a silhouette of a tall and thin figure with curly hair.
“R-ryan?” I called out.
“Uh, Ashley…” he faltered as I walked closer to the door.
