Leticia sat in the midst of the maze, the cold wind whipping her hair into a frenzy as she gazed up at the dull, starry sky. The moon was nowhere to be seen, casting an eerie gloom over the landscape. She shivered, wrapping her arms around herself for warmth, her heart still aching from the tears she'd shed. At least she wasn't alone.
Leticia's anger had dissipated, replaced by a deep sadness and regret. She was no longer mad at Devon, but at herself for being so blind, so foolish to believe he truly wanted her. She didn't want to hear his excuses or justifications; she just wanted to escape the pain he'd caused. So she'd left the mansion and wandered around the compound and even farther until she found herself walking in the maze. The maze he'd tricked her into one time.
She scoffed. Does he have so much fun playing with her feelings?
