POV : Mikael 

/ STATIC NOISES / 

" Mikael , are you alright ." Mika heard the walkie talkie turn on and the scared voice of Sarah on the other end . He quickly realized that he had been busy with the battle for a while and had not kept in contact with her . 

" I'm okay Sarah . I'm coming back right now so make sure you don't open the door until I arrive . " Mika told her seriously . He had taken out the bandage and wrapped it around himself . 

The burst shot move had done enough damage that he did not hesitate to make use of the healing supplies . His black hide had suffered the most though .

" Okay Mika . I will be waiting for you outside . " The girl switched of the walkie talkie . Her words showed she completely ignored his earlier words to wait for his arrival . 

He would deal with that later . 

Mika thought about his earlier battle . It was not as hard as he thought it would be and realistically , it should not be . What was the point of giving an impossible mission and wanting someone to complete it . 

< Mikael had only forgotten one thing about the whole mission . The mission itself was supposed to be a group mission and , he was doing it by himself . The fact that he said the mission was not that difficult was truly both impressive and insulting . >

He took his time on the journey back . The only thing that would make him rush was Sarah's safety and for now , there was nothing that could harm her . 

In a minute , he had already walked free from the forest and was now approaching the cabin .

" Bang " 

The door slammed open and the blonde girl quickly run towards him . Mika saw the relief wash over her face and he could not help but smile at the actions of the girl .

Sarah finally covered the remaining distance with a jump with her arms spread . Mika caught her as she fell onto his arms and held her tightly . 

He felt the trembling in her body , and the slight fear in her intent . 

Mika did not speak . It was unneeded . He patted the girl gently and continued walking back into the cabin .

" Hey , do you want to go fishing . " He asked . Since he had the rest of the day of . Why not relax and at the same time think of a plan to handle the contestants that would be arriving tomorrow . 

" Yes ." Sarah replied finally breaking free from the hug as she smiled happily in answer . He finally remembered that Sarah had not eaten since yesterday and she was not like him who could go for long periods without food .

Mika had already decided to protect the girl . He would do his best to make sure that she at least did not go hungry . 

" Let's go make you something to eat first ." Sarah's stomach growled in hunger . Finally recalling it had remained without food for a long while . She blushed in embarrassment but Mika laughed it of and approached the kitchen .

TIME : 8: 30 PM

POV : SARAH 

It was night time and they were outside laying on a blanket . Sarah recalled the events of the day . When Mika went to combat the two terminators and her worry about if he would come back . 

Her relief when he finally came back injured but alive . Her happiness when she recalled the taste of the food he had pre paired and her joy when he decided to go fishing with her . 

' Dad wanted to go fishing with me ' Sarah recalled and she felt the tears threaten to spill . The sadness was overwhelming for a child such as her but she understood she needed to keep moving forward . 

Mika started to pat her head gently . It was like he could sense her emotions and knew how to comfort her . The sadness lessened . 

The both of them were outside gazing at the stars . Mika had suggested it and she readily agreed . She loved star gazing , especially with her mom . The joy that they would both get while talking about the different constellations could not be replaced . 

Sarah smiled slightly . The memory of happier times influencing her enough that her sadness was forgotten . 

" You might meet them one day . Your parents " 

Mikael said while turning to gaze into her eyes . The seriousness of what he said was clearly transmitted and Sarah was shocked . 

" If Skynet can travel to the past . Why can't we ? . " 

Yes , that was true . Despite the hate Sarah felt for the A.I , why could they not do what it could ? Sarah remembered all that Mika had told her about the A.I and what it represented for. If the crazy A.I could mess with time , why not them !?

 Sarah felt the excitement rise in her very being . Her sadness was no more and hope quickly begun to rise in her . 

Yes , she could see her parents again . She did not have to say goodbye for forever .

" But for you to accomplish that , Skynet needs to be destroyed . "

Mika said but her excitement did not diminish . Something had developed in the little girl . Something that would grow to be lethal to the A.I that had taken her parents from her and the one sited next to her was the cause of this .

" Thank you Mikael . For staying with me . " She said finally . Her usual blankness had disappeared significantly now that she knew her parents did not have to remain dead . 

Mika hugged her back gently in response not bothering to answer but Sarah felt the warmth he gave was answer enough . At this moment , she felt not everything was as bad as she thought . She was not completely alone .

Sarah smiled happily .
