Lost Control

Harriet scoffed and gritted her teeth in annoyance as she watched Liam leave. She felt a surge of anger and betrayal, her mind racing with thoughts of how ungrateful he was. After everything she had done for him, everything she had sacrificed, he had the audacity to defy her this way? She thought bitterly.

She thought back to the days when she had put her own dreams on hold, her career as a model cut short by her unwanted and most importantly, unexpected pregnancy.
