22. Invisible Thing in the Dark

Tom's "Ventus Tempestas" spell strengthened the air currents around him, creating a storm. As the wind speed increased, it started affecting the objects in nature. A tree was rapidly shaken by the storm.

As the wind intensified, the tree was uprooted and lifted into the air. The power of the wind, coming in waves, slowly began to tear the tree apart by bending its trunk. Accompanied by fierce sounds, the tree was torn apart as its branches snapped off.

While observing this powerful effect, Tom realized the tremendous impact his spell had on nature. Aware of his power, he managed to keep it under control and directed the storm as he wished.

As Tom watched the effect of the "Ventus Tempestas" spell, a series of thoughts passed through his mind. He marveled at the impact this powerful windstorm had on the natural elements around him. However, he also realized that this power needed to be controlled.

Being aware of the spell's power over nature meant he had to be more careful when using his magical abilities. Although it was a powerful tool, it could cause harm if used uncontrollably. Therefore, Tom constantly trained himself and made efforts to better manage his spell.

On the other hand, he was also aware of the advantages of using this powerful spell. "Ventus Tempestas" could provide strong defense against his enemies or drive them away, while also offering him a quick escape route. These strategic advantages enhanced his potential and helped him gain superiority over his opponents.

After a strenuous training session, Tom decided to return home and rest a bit. The quiet and peace of his home provided him with a relaxing environment. He sank into his chair, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes to rest.

The experiences he had during training and thoughts about the power of the spell continued to swirl in his mind. The ability to use this new spell skillfully excited him, but he also knew he had responsibilities to manage this power carefully.

While resting, he began to develop new strategies in his mind to better understand and control the spell. He constantly strived to improve himself and make better use of his powers.

As his body gradually relaxed, so did the thoughts in his mind. Soon, Tom fell into a deep sleep, giving him a chance to enjoy the rest that came after a long day.

When Tom opened his eyes, the dim lights of his room greeted him with a calm atmosphere. For a moment, he didn't want to get up, but realizing it was already noon, he quickly stood up.

Although he had just woken up, the effects of the training and the spell still lingered on him. The slight tension in his body reminded him of the intensity of the previous day. He took a few steps and looked out the window. The air was still cool, and the sky was cloudy.

Things felt a bit strange. Everything looked the same. Tom felt something odd. He recognized this feeling. When he lost to Harry, his soul had gone on a journey. Tom remembered that journey a little.

His soul had been drawn somewhere by a force. Although Tom didn't know what had pulled his soul, he was sure that something similar was nearby.

He took his wand in hand, raised it, and pointed it towards a spot in the forest. There was nothing visible there, but it felt as if he had locked eyes with something.

A harmless water spell shot out of his wand. The spell 'Aguamenti.'

Before the spell could reach the spot, whatever was there disappeared. Tom could no longer sense it anywhere.

He closed his eyes. Despite all his efforts, he couldn't sense any living being around. Even the animals in the forest were far from Tom's home.

He started planning what he would do and what he wanted to learn for the day. He thought about practicing to better understand and master the new spell. He also wanted to go out and learn about the latest developments and news in the town.

He quickly dressed and got ready, deciding to leave the house.

Tom left his house deep in the forest and headed towards the town. As he wandered through the streets of the town, he appeared as just another ordinary person among the people.

When he reached the market, he stepped inside and began shopping. In addition to food and daily necessities, he also picked up some magical supplies. As he browsed the shelves, a few books caught his eye, and he added them to his basket. After a brief chat with the vendor, he completed his shopping and left the market.

Christmas was approaching, but it didn't mean much to Tom because he didn't believe in God. Even if there was a god, he wouldn't believe in one that was unjust. Tom quietly passed through the streets of the town. He wanted to find a secluded spot to Apparate home. But when he heard a voice, he decided against it. It was Alice's voice.

In the narrow streets of the town, Alice was walking quietly when she caught the attention of two bothersome men. As they approached, one of them started speaking with a polite smile. "Hey pretty girl, where are you rushing off to?" he asked.

Alice slowed her steps and turned back. "Please leave me alone," she said gently but firmly.

The other man smiled, "How polite you are, how about some fun?" he said, as if offering a suggestion.

Alice didn't want to resist them further, "I told you, please leave me alone," she insisted.

But the man persisted, "Oh, there's nothing to run away from us. Come, let's spend some time together," he said, in a tone lacking sincerity.

The second man, ignoring Alice's warnings, also spoke, "Our pretty girl is so threatening. Well, if she doesn't want to join us, we might have to resort to other ways," he said, with a threatening laugh.

Alice continued to step back, "Don't come any closer, this is your final warning," she warned, her voice growing more determined.

But the man insisted, "Come on, how bad could it be?" he asked, with a dangerous look.

As Tom wandered the streets of the town, he saw a group of men approaching Alice. At first, seeing this from afar, a wave of concern passed through him. Seeing Alice alone and being harassed unsettled him.

As he quickened his steps, his thoughts turned into a chaotic mess. A surge of anger rose within him, but at the same time, a sense of control guided him. Though he hesitated for a moment, he made his decision: he had to help Alice.

As he approached the group, his determination became more apparent. He could see the clear threat on each of their faces before warning them.

Everything was under his control, and he would handle this situation.
