Mariella and Damon had been fucking for three weeks. They had been passionate and Damon had unloaded his frustrations with Mimi and also his feelings for her. He had had little trouble controlling his alpha side, and it seemed that side was quite deep in him. But same time, his absolute devotion for Mariella reared its head too, forcing his alpha side to back off and forget Mimi.
He was kind new of to being alpha and breeding alpha that is. He had just bred his alpha female for the very first time, and it had been a very passionate and possessive time for him. He had sometimes fantasies of both of them, Mimi and Mariella in chains, naked and willing for his partners, but Mimi being Mimi, she was more focused on Charles and Adam than him.
That notion left him sometimes feeling somehow lonely, deserted, almost like he was not good enough for Mimi and he could not blame her. Damien had done so freaking much trauma to their connection, to their love, so long until their true love died. Mimi quit, and he did not believe that he had any more right to love her, so he quit too. Maybe it was truly too late for them to get any kind of actual connection. Maybe he should face the facts, love Mariella, and let that be enough.
Damon was wakening from his thoughts when Mariella inquired, "Honey, what's that?" Mariella asked one morning as they lay in bed and Mariella looked out the window. "Is that the kitchen, then?"
Mariella tried to outline the building in her head and wondered which part of the house would go that way. Had they been there? They had circled this big house, and she had gotten a lot of residual energy, too. These had been classrooms, and they left their marks when students were learning.
She had very smug about her catch and she knew Damon would not suck so carefully every piece of energy but Mariella just made new tanks. Her tanks were the shape of an ornate potion bottle, and she loved to play with her energies. She thought that at one point, she should check again Mimi's situation as that heat would have made pretty interesting energies, breeding, and everything too.
Now she tried to think what part of the house went actually to the backyard. They had not walked outside at all and Mariella could see also berry bushes and, a fenced area. Trees too. There was an actual garden in the backyard and it was fenced, an immense area despite that, and quite heavily fenced too.
Damon lazily asked, " What? What are talking about Darlin?"
His voice was a little lazy and sharp, and he was gazing at Mariella a little too sharply. It made hairs on the back of her neck rise. Damon had never gotten that reaction out of her. She had thought that she was quite fearless, but now she was not so sure at all.
Mariella got out of bed and went to the window. She kept herself calm as she took her dressing gown and wrapped it around her. It was satiny, with a feathered hem, dark blue-violet. Damon had gotten it for her.
She pointed out. "That one. That part of the building, and why part of the backyard is fenced so damn heavily?"
It took Damon a moment to realize that this house had a wing! How did he miss the door? Usually, the door leading to the wing had been a thick steel door, and it was very noticeable.
" That darling, that's a wing. I forgot that all the houses that Adam bought, most of them have wings, not Mimi's procurations because she bought enormous houses already and there is only an isolated part of the house but there we have built a wing and a big one too. "
Damon had told Mariella about wings and what they sort of meant to him. They had usually gotten them open, in a few houses they had been to. But this one had been slyly built, and Miss had said nothing.
They had been in the wings of some houses but had done none of their own thing there. They had been fucking a bit in some wing, but usually moved back to the public side. But now there was something fishy about it.
There was so much emotional load on those wings and their meaning to everyone in this pack. First of all. Downstairs, medbay had been jokes compared to what had been found in wings and Damon knew same fashion would continue. The same went to kitchens.
The downstairs kitchen had been Bran's or Samuel's places and they had been lazy and cheap, not getting the best in those kitchens, and even fridges had been linked. The kitchen on Wings had been so much better. Damon wanted the best for the pack, and it would be a time when everything from the wing would make out pack property and be available for everyone.
"Let's go see where we're going over there," Damon said briskly and started to get dressed.
He remarked, "We need to start to link up those kitchens, medbays, everything that we need from those wings to be our rooms and open it up. We have room here to make perfect medbay, not sure if the kitchen is big enough to be updated, but we can link it up so it is available for us. So darlin, you better get those link crystals ready too."
Mariella followed suit. She had a hunch that an alpha female was behind it, and Damon wouldn't like it one bit. Damon had strong alpha male instincts, and he was more than willing to go by them. He was now ready to face Mimi and start to be pack leader once again. He had snapped a few snippets in Mimi's thoughts and those had made him even more on edge. The young lady would be so well under control.
They left their room and started looking for where to enter the wing. There was no door anywhere. Damon was quite damn irritated.
"Baby, can you come here to the general area from that wing? We need to have a little chat." He said in his mind to Mimi.
Damon looked at Mariella and said. "Now we just wait and see where this Mimi shows up from. We will get rid of those fences from the backyard too, so we can have that bounty from those trees and bushes too." Mariella nodded.
The meal had been so filling and good that I was exhausted; I was just contemplating a little nap when Damon's voice called me quite venomously downstairs, to the common side. I had been working nonstop for almost three weeks, so I felt quite safe to sleep.
I had made a perfect nest for myself. I had just taken some blood tests out of myself. To test my new machines and let them test everything, including a very broad hormone panel, too. Results would come only one laptop and that was in my personal safe. I had given to my AI several samples like piss, saliva, and piece of my shit as well, several times blood and tears too.
"Well, don't worry, everything will be fine. Let's see what horseshit Salvatores wants this time, maybe a little more breeding, or what, scrubbing, scenting." I thought.
My thoughts were quite venomous toward my first husband.
I was just so damn tired. I took the elevator to the first floor and came through my sliding door to the public side. My door opened silently and fast. I slipped out and saw Damon and Mariella standing with their backs to me.
I crept up behind Damon and said, "What do you want? I was just about to take a nap. "
I was getting more and more tired and I yawned widely, too.
Damon turned around. Where on earth had Mimi come from? Alert whizzed on his protector's radar as Mimi yawned. He inspected Mimi more. Not everything was right with Mimi now. Mimi's eyes glazed over a little, as if she had been tranquilized. But how on earth?
He had smelled sedative on her breath. Mimi's movements were slow and clumsy. Whatever she had put in her system was having more and more of an effect. She was staggering, almost.
"Baby, hey baby, look this way!" Damon's voice was strangely commanding.
I looked over. I was tired. So damn ready to go to sleep.
I asked again, "What's up? Why did you want me here?"
Damon looked at me for a moment and came closer. He took hold of my chin and looked into my eyes. He supported me with his other hand when I was strangely unsteady on my feet.
"Mimi, where have you got yourself, a sedative, and a damn strong one I see?"
I wondered as I staggered. It was hard to stay upright. It would explain my state of being, but there had been no drugging. I had not yet gotten those drugs.
"Mimi, how do you get on the wing? The answer is somewhere there. Come on, tell us before you're too out of it."
I said, "Sliding a door, fingerprint, microchip." My voice was mumbling, and slurry, and it was hard to try to speak.
Or at least I thought I did. Damon was supporting me the whole time, hurrying to find out where to get to the wing.
I went to the wall. I just needed to get my door opened.
Damon said, "Hey, there's a wall. You can't get through it. Come on baby, snap out of it."
I thought, "Huh, you don't know. There is an actual door here. Well. Surprise coming your way."
I took a little of my rage out. It helped me function a little better, but the drug was still pushed through. Not a good thing at all.
I finally found a fingerprint scanner and pressed or tried to press my finger into it. Damon helped.
Mariella spoke, out loud. Mimi seemed to be too far gone to notice. " That's a pretty fucking new system, by the way. Miss, you have been doing this secretly for quite a while now."
I said, "Yep, that's me. I bet this is my wing. My house, so to speak. You can go this one time, but I'll throw you out."
The microchip was more difficult to install before, but once I got it right. My rage helped. But I was not in the mood to fight all the time with rage. I just thought that when I get my ultimate bed in medbay, I will take a nap. I reasoned that by the time I would wake up, the mating couple would have lost their interest in my little wing and moved out.
Mariella sighed. This is not good, double-protected access, and only Mimi has access. Mariella knew that was going to change, and soon enough. Damon was furious, but he controlled himself beautifully to guide them through the door. Mimi was starting to get legless. Mimi was almost out cold. Pale and weak, too.
Damon asked, keeping his voice calm and controlled, his doctor's voice as he knew that was the best bet to get Mimi to cooperate. "Baby, where's the medbay? Come on, medbay?"
I went to the elevator and pointed to the wall of the elevator, where we had listed roughly what was where. It had been Mimosa's idea so everyone would know what was on which floor and it would be easy to go. Damon followed with Mariella, and we went upstairs. I got them directed to the medbay.
I got myself into one of the lovely beds, pulled the covers over me, and fell asleep. These beds were made to sleep.
Damon was looking through the impressive collection of medicines. There was nothing here though, that Mimi could have accidentally gotten medicine from. All the drugs were intact, and Damon could smell nothing.
Medbay was impressive, and there was a separate room. Most of that room took the gigantic machine. There was a display, a lot of wires, and stuff. Damon looked at it, realizing that this was a machine with AI that told Mimi what drug would do to her. And as this machine had been studying Mimi and Samuel, Colin had fed all the info on Mimi.
This was one important piece of machinery. As it had studied her for years, Damon had never seen this. Not really. This machine should be in his place, where he could use it, not tucked away in Miss's medbay. He could smell faint traces of Mimi's blood and urine, so Miss fed some more data and her samples into this machine.
Mariella came next to him, asking, "Well, what this is? huge thing."
Damon said quietly," Best AI that has learned and studied young lady for decades now. She uses this to see what drugs would do to her, and this is too important to leave here for her plaything. We need to make medbay, move this in there, and link it up. There is quite a lot that we can use. "
Mariella was silent. She was astonished. Mimi had very expensive toys in her use and she was not willing to share, well no one asked her. Damon would see that Pack's med bay would best and most up-to-date that possible. When Damon tried to start to machine, it required a fingerprint from Mimi, so Damon went and cut off one of Mimi's fingers, in order to get that machine up and running and use his skills to get only access there and take away Mimi's access.
After he had taken care of that machine, he looked a little bit at what there was, listing everything in his analytical mind. Knowing what needed to go where. There was the latest model of blood analyzer and it had been running, but Damon could not see where the results would come from and what Miss had taken. Well, that would come out later.
Next, Damon looked at Mimi. She had got into one of the patient's beds on her side under the covers and was asleep. Her pupils were tiny, moving widely, meaning she was in a very deep sleep. Damon thought, it better to let her sleep off the medicine. His radar did not alarm about her. There was nothing in the Medbay. They continued to see this top floor and arrived at the kitchen.
The kitchen was again perfect and Damon could feel his blood pressure rising, but something in Mariella's behavior made him look at her a little sharper. Mariella suddenly went like a hound dog and grabbed a cardboard dish from the trash can.
"This the sedative was here." Her voice was tense.
Once again, her super keen sense of smell had led her in the right direction.
Damon sniffed. It was some kind of fish. It had not been ideal food for Miss, not in a long shot. If he remembered correctly, those containers were used to freeze meals, mostly Mimi and Mirella froze food quite a bit. He remembered a few times as he had been in the wing when Mirella had been packing up these cardboard boxes with this machine that put the film on top of them.
"Frozen," Damon said curtly.
His gaze was tense, too. That drug had been quite strong and the only time in the freezer had chopped it off enough not to be fatal to Mimi. She could not die, but if that whole dose had been fully effective, she would have lost her straps, and fast.
Mariella went to the freezer and came right back. Her expression was angry, hard.
Her voice was an angry hiss. "Everything out. There's everything from earth metals to tranquilizers to poisonous herbs—Mirella's work. "
A shiver ran through Mariella. Damon wrapped himself around his wife. He calmed her down, with one flank and some mind work, too. It was not too good for her to get so upset.
They continued to circle the wing. The smell of Mimi was everywhere, the floors were covered with carpets, and in places, it was like a hotel. Rooms were more or less perfect nests just for her to be, and there were subtle hints that Miss had spent her time in some of these rooms.
Mariella sucked up energies here, too. Damon was walking a little everywhere and Mariella went to sit in one room. She could feel or sense Mimi's emotions. It had spilled out, such a sorrow, regret, longing too. And acceptance of responsibility for something horrible that she had to do.
She said nothing about this to Damon. Maybe someday she would ask Mimi. But more than likely, she would say nothing. Mariella was curious. That notion made her feel a little irritated when her curiosity got the better of her. But it was time to move on.
But Mariella saw the empty rooms and realized how easy it was to remove the carpets. She had made friends with the witches in the magic house, and they had an excellent repairman. Man called Max.
Mariella called him to visit as soon as he could. Some of the walls between the rooms would be knocked down to make larger spaces. Pizza and coffee machines are out. A lot of stuff was moved to a public side where Packs Medbay and a few other rooms had been linked. Mariella listed all the changes to Damon. They had told Charles and Adam about the wing, too.
Charles was dismantling the sliding doors with Adam so that the wing would have unobstructed access. Shadow lived in the green rooms. She was an herb wolf, and she talked to the plants. Mariella did what she said to every plant. Who wanted shade, and who was thirsty?
Mimosa looked through Mimi's aquariums and she had a big nursery full of fry, so many species and Charles told Mariella about Mimi's need to have a fish hatchery, well, Mariella directed him to speak to Damon so they could make this pack first official place.
Damon looked through those fish, too. He looked at internet prices on some of them and he was quite surprised as Mimi's, Mimosa's tender care had gotten pretty damn rare species to grow. There had been an entire room full of fish that Mimi had brought in her world-saving gigs, meaning those were very valuable genetically too. Mariella just noticed that Damon put his little links on these fish, too. So he had now little spies too. Damon listed every fish species in his mind, contacted a few suitable places already, and got that hatchery going properly.
Damon helped Adam and Charles unlock the doors and went to see Mimi. He went through Mimi's body carefully, feeling every spot, and then he left the medbay very surprised as he had gotten a little alert on his radar and this had been a surprise for him. He had forgotten it already, but a surprise was coming.
A chip had been dug out of Mimi's wrist, and the magic houses had been instructed to start going through every wing of every house. Adam and Charles had found a cache of weapons and explosives. Damon had made new drug cabinets with magic where he and Mariella had put the drugs. Those rolls of carpet had been moved to another room so they could be used in the public side too.
Mimi slept for a week. Since her condition was stable and the medicine was showing signs of wearing off, Damon decided to let Mimi rest. It would do her real good. There was no danger in that. She was out of the way when they were making this part of the house so everyone could be in there, too. Damon had not found yet where those test results had come from. But once Miss would wake up, maybe then. This was gonna be a genuine surprise for her, no doubt about that.
