Delighted. That wasn't even a word to describe what I was feeling.

However, I was frustrated too because it took every ounce of patience inside me not to pull Valencia's pants down and drink her heavenly juices that I was sure would've taken me ecstasy.

I looked at her peaceful sleeping face as she lay on the bed with her hands wrapped around mine.

I don't know what's been bothering her. It may be related to her identity or something else, but she looked pretty resolute when she said she wanted to leave. Now, apart from keeping a lookout for the rogues because of the alphas' meeting, I will have to keep a lookout for her, too, so she doesn't slip from under my clutches.

"Sleep tight, my love," I pecked her lips gently before rising from the bed.
