"With one look, I can see many things about you. Together, you and your Pokémon team have overcome all obstacles, no matter how difficult they were. So you have also triumphed over yourself. I can feel all the power you have accumulated. But "enough talk. Let's finish what we have to do. I, Cynthia, accept your challenge as champion of the Pokémon League!"
This was the 5th time I passed the Pokemon Pearl League just to level up my Pokemon.
The reason? Get over the fucking battlefront once and for all.
Of course, having a Palkia on the team and the fact that this is the fifth time I tried it made it a lot easier, but it didn't make the experience boring.
Ahh, I wish I were in the world of Pokemon, so my life would be a little less boring.
"I can't remember the last time I was in a situation like this!
With that, Neon defeated Cynthia's Garchomp, impatiently waited to see his pokemon in the hall of fame, and went to sleep without imagining what was ahead of him.
—————-
Have you ever had that feeling when you're asleep and something is so inexplicably wrong that you have to wake up immediately?
You don't even know what's wrong; it's just your body's natural instinct to wake you up when something is wrong around you.
For example, that instinct hit me hard like a lightning bolt when I suddenly jolted out of bed, my mind desperately trying to figure out what was wrong.
And, oh, dear Lord, there was much evil in my current surroundings.
The first thing that became very clear to me was the fact that this was not my room. I would know if I was sleeping in my room or not, as the view of the usual burgundy wooden walls was nowhere to be seen. In its place was a landscape full of life, with trees, plants, flowers, and birds.
He woke up to the sounds of people speaking a strange name.
"Pidgey" "pidgey" "pidgey"
"Go get out."
I was in a dream.
Either that or I had been drugged, kidnapped, and put on a strange island with birds that sang go away. I should stop playing Pokémon Pearl at night.
He raised his head to look at the tree where the sound came from, a flock of Pidgeys screeching his own name as a warning.
'Anyway, if it's a dream, we'll have to enjoy it; I've never been in one so realistic'
Quickly, I got out of there instinctively and started my adventure. A flock of birds warning me to leave was quite scary. Especially if you understood their language, it was quite confusing to hear two languages at once from the same individual, hearing the words 'pidgey' and 'go away' at the same time, the voices overlapping each other.
"Pidgey is the regional bird of Kanto, although again, it is a dream that any Pokemon can appear. I mean, there is no possible way that they would kidnap me and send me to a place where birds say "go away" or that they would have me isekaeid."
With that, I continued running through the forest until I was tired. I was not in my own body; that was the first thing I realized. My skin was paler, and I felt a few cm taller.
I pulled a strand of hair from my head and saw that it was white. I squeezed it with my fingers to see if it would fade, only to see that the strand remained unchanged.
I lowered my head to my torso to see my shirt with an R on it and a pokeball on my waist.
Oh shit
"I am a recruit for Team Rocket. My mind began to remember that they called me Mello Snow. I was an orphan child with no other option than to join the mafia due to the few exits that existed, partly due to the corruption of the country. Later, I discovered that I work for Team Rocket because, during my 5 years in a row as a criminal, I was given a Pokémon. I am currently 17, and my Pokémon is a recently captured Shuppet. I was not happy with this gift choice because of how dangerous it was to train a ghost, but there was little I could do. Mello was the only one who was given a Shuppet for some reason; the others had Golbats, Zubats, Ekans, Raticates, etc."Mello, now that I, Neon, heard stories about a trainer with a gengar who kidnapped her youngest son, I didn't want to know anything about ghosts either because Mello's "close" friends thought he was probably doomed to a painful death, guys with Zubats and Rattatas.
I knew it was a possibility; I had read enough self-inserted fanfiction to intuit it.
"This dream is very real, or I am really a transmigrate, and I have literally stolen a person's life."
'Why was Mello here?
Train
Mello went to meet his Shuppet in the forest.
"bzzzzzzzzzz"
I turned quickly to find out the sound, only to see what I feared—a herd of Beedrills.
In my subconscious, I remembered some new information about good old Mello.
Pokemon have to eat to live.
You could already imagine that, but in a world where even plants have consciousness, death lurks in every corner.
In the anime, it was all smiles and hugs, but here, what really happens is that the Pokémon devour, gut, suffocate, and even dissolve their prey in acid to feed themselves.
The Bedrills, according to my infinite bad luck, were not like their land counterparts and ate nectar; sadly, they were like their land counterparts and were highly territorial but did not eat nectar and generally left you looking like a pincushion.
The Beedrill were beings that attacked in groups and poisoned their prey so they could eat them.
'If a bedrill attacks you, it will first sting you with its legs and then finish you off with its abdomen' I remembered this time with the information I knew about the lore.
It didn't take long for me to flee again; to my bad luck, this time they followed me.
"Breedrill, Breedrill, Beedril"
"Intruder, intruder, intruder."
"God, why me?" I screamed desperately. I knew I had a Pokemon, but against a swarm, you can do nothing.
I continued running and saw a river. I was not stupid enough to dive, knowing that the bedrill could wait for me; however, the river crossed the pass, and I had to pass.
That saved my life.
However, crossing the river slowed me down, and I received an attack from the first Bedrill in line.
I watched with resignation as an identical copy came out of the stingers, and I shot them in my direction. Number of blows: 2.
The blow hit me, and I exploded.
Yes, I exploded, ending up lying on the trunk of a tree, feeling very tired.
After crossing the river, I turned around and saw that the herd had stopped the chase and some Horsea were infesting the river.
'The Horsea are famous for killing insect types with ink from the water; they eat insects and moss from rocks' I remembered half unconsciously.
I felt tired and wanted to go back to sleep, and I did just that. It was easy to ignore the pitched battle I had accidentally provoked.
—————————————————
Waking up this time was not rewarding; ironically, this time when I woke up, I received praise and not threats.
"Hahaha, that was fun; at least you weren't the idiot I thought you would be, and you didn't throw me at those bedrills; if you had, I would have turned you in."
Evaluating my surroundings, I saw that I was in the same forest as the last time, with the river in front of me, with the difference that there were some half-eaten Bedril corpses on the edge of the river.
In front of me was a living plush doll, talking to me, black in color and with a disturbing smile.
"Are you talking?" I was surprised.
Until now, the pokemon only managed to say a simple word; of course, you weren't going to make a monologue with your food, even though they seemed quite tribal to me.
"That unfortunate attack definitely hurt your head, poor boy. Well, it's time to look for another one."
"No, no, I understand what you're saying; you're not just saying the name of your species."
At that, the doll approached my face, leaving only a few centimeters.
Shuppet just laughed.
"And tell me what exactly I'm saying now."
"You're going to look for someone else, because the pin missile hurt my head."
For the first time, the doll seemed to stop smiling, only to laugh more.
"Hahaha, this couldn't be better. Tell me how you can understand me." Shuppet said it with a fairly serious expression for a Shupett.
"It's been like this since I entered the forest, but only sentences; you are the first to say a prayer."
"That's good, then decided. Due to this turn of events, I will not abandon you here; you can continue with your stupid attempt to be a trainer. Of course, given what I've seen, you won't last long outside, but this deserves a reward, if not." "You'll impress again in about two weeks. I won't be your Pokémon." He said the last sentence with disgust, as if the concept of being a Pokémon was repulsive to him.
I understood the sentiment and continued the flow of the conversation, which was strangely friendly to Shuppet.
"Can you get me out of here?"
I could live with Shuppet as my initial
I remember the moves you can learn anyway; maybe that will surprise you.
Will o wisp
Shadow Claw
Trick
Knock off
Thief
Shadow sneak
Destiny bond
Mockery
Gunk shoot
Those were their most characteristic moves, although it was still a question whether Pokemon could learn more than four moves; it would be better to check Mello's memories later.
"My name is Mello now, and I will be your trainer for now. Shuppet, could you guide me to the exit? Maybe you are right; that pin missile disoriented me a little," I said, ignoring his warning.
"Of course, whatever you want, kid," with one last sinister smile.
Well, at least luck is on my side.
I took one last look at the plush doll, and out of inertia, I nodded my head.
As I followed him, I noticed the plush doll.
After a few seconds, some letters came out big.
Shuppet LVL 21
Type: Ghost
Gender: Male
Skill: Frisk
Moves: Shadow Ball, Thief, spite, Knock Off, Will o Wisp, Feint
"Wtf"
A new power now, oh god, I mean, Arceus, where have you put me?
The god of this world, or do I know for a fact that it is Arceus? Does that stop me from being an atheist?
I know I said my life was boring and I wanted to go to the world of Pokemon, but this is a bit much. What kind of god teleports you next to a pack of carnivorous hornets? AND AS A RECRUIT OF THE ROCKET TEAM
As I debated my theological problems in this world, I couldn't help but think about my chances of making it out of this forest alive.
The first thing I think is that I know English, and therefore I know the unknown language, which could make me rich and famous for discovering the language of hieroglyphics.
The second thing is that I could become a decent trainer with this "level system" I just discovered.
But first, I should get rid of Team Rocket. I must abandon them before they identify me as one of them. I could use my meta-knowledge to expose Giovani and the top executives, but I must proceed with caution.
And finally, find a way home. The gods were the legendary pokemon; some of them could help me; the list is long; it will be hard because those pokemon are only myths and legends, unless Moltres summoned me, which would leave me much to be desired in terms of my possibilities.
In my opinion, the legendaries that could help me are mainly Palkia and Dialga, although I seem to remember that Hoho granted wishes, and there was also Hoopa from the sixth generation, although I don't know anything about his lore.
The future was uncertain, and I couldn't help but feel anxious. No, I don't have to be pessimistic now; now is the time to keep a cool head and act.
My first action was clear: to seek out the international police and ask for my freedom in exchange for information.
You could call the normal city police; however, you could be bought. Policeman Looker will know what to do if I find him.
I would have to prepare a speech exposing myself as a Rocket recruit, but it doesn't matter. If I exposed the location of a high-ranking Rocket executive, they would surely let me go free.
With that thought, I relieved myself of my anxiety with my uncertain metaknowledge, and my supposition of questionable loyalty could work.
Things are in my favor.
