Author's POV
Huang Jiang had expected the hostile behavior from Huang Chenglong and his family, so it didn't come as much of a surprise to him. He knew his brother had been eagerly waiting for him to die so that he could try to take over his assets and the Huang Group. However, Huang Jiang was immensely proud of how Huang Yanyan had handled those greedy vultures. Now, they would know that she was not some weak girl they could walk all over.
After the tense confrontation, Huang Jiang guided Yanyan away from her disgruntled relatives, his arm linked with hers. As they navigated through the buzzing crowd, he caught sight of a familiar face – the advisor to the King of a small but prosperous island nation.
"Ah, Advisor Zhou," Huang Jiang greeted the man warmly, inclining his head in respect.
Advisor Zhou returned the gesture, his eyes crinkling with a friendly smile. "Huang Jiang, my old friend. It's a pleasure to see you, as always."
