Even though Emperor Peter overthrew the Heavenly Revelation Church, the churches and monasteries that had been used by the Church were mostly preserved. In Moscow alone, there were more than a dozen churches and monasteries, large and small.

After the Church of Truth moved into Moscow, they renovated these churches and monasteries, turning them into residences for the friars and priests.

The West Gate Monastery, located on the street south of Red Square, was where the Blood Tribe resided. It wasn't far from Saint Basil's Cathedral, just two blocks away, so they could respond immediately to anything that might occur.
