Julius had met up with King Leonidas and his men along with the Romanus commanders who'd been leading the slower advancing Auxilliary force of the Greecian war slaves.
And now that, that was dealt with he began his next course of action, while the allied forces were streaming into the fort Julius's had called all his men to arms, preparing to march out once again.
The reason of course was the simultaneous arrival of their enemy, the Argosian army.
Following the customs of greecian warfare this army was in the middle of setting up camp the following day they would take to the field for a series of champion battles.
But this was highly inefficient for Julius, he planned to breech this code of conduct and introduce the Argosians to Romanus shock combat.
As the sun fell further and further into the west the days light faded out, and nights first lack of light loomed in the distance.
But still the command was issued and the 10,000 men led by their king sallied forth.
Marching off into the night from the safety of their new home.
The enemy had chosen to setup camp not far away so the march was relatively quick but the legion did not march as one, they continued to break off into forces the size of Cohorts.
As the camp was still under construction their was only a simple wooden pike wall facing towards their own fort while the side and rear were open.
A single legion would march the front while the splinter groups would attack the sides, or slip throughout the night and succeed in attacking the rear of their camp.
Our advance through the night was undisturbed thankfully as the light of the moon was very dim, it made the odds of our own men getting lost a high possibility however with the enemy camp being well illuminated in the distance our path was set.
Like death stalking the very land the legionaires marched closer and closer.
The Greecian sentries were tired from their long forced march.
Many having taken seat rather than stand and upon doing so many even fell asleep!
Having noticed so, Julius used his hands to signal a slowed advnace as an advanced forces rushed out whilst crouched down.
Having arrived at the Argosian lines these sleeping men were hastily dealt with, the opportunity was high, our 10,000 fresh troops were ready and hungry to rush through this flimsy barricade and begin the assault against the weary and sleeping Argosians.
as the noose around their necks closed tighter and tighters finally our presence was noticed, and alarms began raising all over their camp men began running around wildly, as our cover was blown all the men stormed in, or took up torches to see in the night.
Being attacked from three sides those who had the wherewithall to take up arms but not the time to don their armour fought bravely but fell quickly due to the lack of defense.
Chaos descended and in the dark of night screams of pain and anguished filled the air.
The legion achieving it's own goal of sowing discord in the enemy ranks.
Battles begining and ending all over, the losing Argosians were detained and after enough were grouped together they would be escorted out of the camp by a squad becoming prisoners of this war.
The fight continued to progress however the more time it took the greater the Argosian response became as they could finally arm themselves at the centre of the camp and coordinate their moves while our own forces were spread out and could not easily communicate with one another.
And so even though it was not a complete crushing victory Julius sounded the horn announcing to his men their retreat.
And so they once more slipped into the darkness of night their newly captured prisoners being escorted back to the fort while the legions themselves regrouped in the grasslands.
Many taking a rest having already been informed by their lord and commanders that this was not the only raid of the night!

** Yuri POV **
This kind of war Julius is waging surely is hell.
Our men march off in the black of night knowing full well what we are about to do.
As our Centurions and Millenniums break off one by one spreading our forces meant to harass our enemy from all sides.
From my position in the distance i can see the Argosian senties collapsed on the ground taking probably their first rest in quite some time, these unlucky men will awaken to find themselves captive of the cruel general who'll do anything to win.
But at the same time war has never had specific rules, each nation creates their own and complain when others do not abide by them so perhaps the tactics Julius is employing now though foreign to Lunan, Roserun and the Greecians is actually a tactic used by another nation further away from us on the continent.
For a rogue lord... no for a man presumed to be a failure just how hard did he have to study and try all the while covering it up so it was not known to the public until the time was right for him to reveal himself.
A signal was given and specific men broke away entering the enemy camp these men were lightly armoured and acted as our advance guard, once they'd dealt with the Sentries and opened the way for us the rest of the men receive the signal to march into the enemy camp.
Orders were strict not to go to deep our job was to raid the outskirts of their camp taking as many prisioners as possible sending squads with prisioners ack to the fort as they aquire them.
Any many who gives in to bloodlust and charges deep into the enemy camp will be left for disobeying orders, but the men moved as a single cohiesive unit.
The training regime of the Romaus soldiers is fierce.
Aside from possibly the knight corps you won't find such a professional force but Julius has made this the standard across his army, having tens of thousands of men on the level of knights makes his dream of becoming the recrowned emperorer not so far of a dream.
