- - Roserun POV - -
After having returned to the capital urged on ever more so by the messengers of the royal guard who'd come claiming of an emergency in the capital.
The General and his weary men arrived many hours later to find their once great capital in shambles.
It's once vibrant city street were now deserted, the sun was high in the sky but nary a soul could be spotted as the homes lining the street had doors left open, the soldiers were left to their own devices to investigate and rest while the General and the other nobles rode their horses alongside the Kingsguard to the castle.
Within they saw their first signs of life, but it was barely a sign of life.
It had been only a single day since their country's people had abandoned them but the nobles once filled with pride and power, now looked powerless and listly watched as the "conqueroring hero" returned.
The General ignoring the pitiful looking nobles around him continued on, till he reached the foot of the stairs leading the the throne where he dropped to a knee along with the other returning nobility.
The Kings guard meanwhile advanced up the steps till they stood as standing vigils protecting their lord, may tilting their heads as to why his majesty had not been assigned a guard force for this meeting beforehand.
"Your majesty we have returned!" <General Bellac>
The general jovially announced his return without likewise announcing his compounded failure.
Sitting on the throne was the boy king, who looked to have aged years in merely the span of a few hours.
"General Bellac, before we begin... Who was it who stole our treasures?" <King Roserun>
The kings voice sounded out deep and very different from his usual state, literal malice could be felt rolling of his tongue.
"We chased and killed those fleeing the capital your majesty, they appeared to have been Nobility from the inner district who were fleeing south towards the port city." <General Bellac>
"And they had my treasure?" <King Roserun>
"No your majesty, it appear they were a decoy..." <General Bellac>
"Curses!! You've fallen for their trap General, but luckily you have a chance to redeem yourself. My sister is a traitor to the crown and has led the people in revolt of my rule." <King Roserun>
"Sire?" <General Bellac>
The general was visibly confused, the terms used by the king did not match up, if a revolt had happened why was the king alive, and where were the people?
"She and the other traitors have abandoned these lands declaring them to be cursed, you are charged with taking our army north, recapture them by force and... enslave any Latinian you see, a generous reward awaits you if you can enslave that bitch and her fuckboy as well." <King Roserun>
The king not caring to hear greater details on his excursion was a godsend to the General, however how he was going to convince his men to once more set of in pursuit and of their own people no less was a mystery to the General.
However since the people had left anything left behind was potential rewards for his men and so, after calling an assembly all that remained living within the city came forth to hear his rallying speech.
Many were discontent themselves while less than half were raring to go to capture the traitors who'd abandoned them.
And so after only another few hours of rest the thousands of men once more setup off after resupplying in pursuit of the fleeing commoners and members of their own garrison army.
These men knew not what they were getting in to, just living for the paycheck as a simple mercenary army rather than a truly loyal force serving for king and country.
These men were also barely loyal to the people of Roserun many serving int he army were actually refugee's from Lunan fleeing the Visigoth invasion of the north and had ambitions to reclaim the life they had once lost at the hands of others and had sworn to become the ones to take and never be taken from again.
And so this blood thirsty army was in hot pursuit.
They had been denied the spoils of victory in their last fight but this time, the enemy would include many women, girls, and boys through which this army could vent their frustrations after dealing with the insignificant retaliation the men accompanying then would put up.
And beyond that these men licked their lips in anticipation of getting the chance to potentially lay their hands on the nations Warrior Princess.
The King had expressed his demand for her capture but did not specify anything beyond her need to be alive.
This left a lot of open ground in which these men could cover to enjoy her fully before she could die and they would turn her in to the king for their due rewards.

Julius meanwhile was lounging in his newest villa within the city of Rosa Alba when we saw the first signs of invaders crossing into his nations borders.
It seems the Kingdom of Roserun had made it's choice... and that choice was death.
