10 years AMW

These past few years have treated me and my companions well. Our ranks have steadily swelled as I've honed my mastery of Chilled Servitude. With each advancement, its potency has multiplied. So, when it reached level 5, granting me ability to convert 400, I couldn't contain my excitement. Yet, amidst this growth, a tinge of melancholy lingered. The absence of bandits to convert left me at a standstill, hovering around 152 for what felt like an eternity.
However, everything shifted when active vampires began brazenly asserting their dominance. Their ruthless raids decimated settlements, compelling refugees to seek sanctuary within our walls. It was then that Duke proposed I extend my offer of conversion to these desperate souls—an idea I readily embraced. To my delight, the refugees accepted, swiftly filling our ranks to the brim, maximizing the potential of my skill.
Unfortunately, this didn't translate into an army of 400 soldiers. Alongside extending the offer to refugees, I also welcomed craftsmen and farmers into our fold. The transformation bestowed upon them was tailored to their individual talents, imbuing them with ice-related abilities relevant to their skills. For instance, the cook among my retinue gained the remarkable ability to freeze organic items flawlessly, preserving them indefinitely without causing harm.
This left me with a solid contingent of 250 active fighters, out of which I had to allocate 200 to guard the burgeoning human settlement. Previously a modest community of just 1000 souls, the influx of refugees had propelled its population to a staggering 5000. My servants stepped up as captains and leaders in ensuring the settlement's security, often assuming roles as patrol leaders tasked with handling infiltrating vampires or mediating occasional skirmishes among survivors.
With 50 fighters remaining, I delegated Duke to oversee their organization into teams of 10. His responsibility was to manage these combatants and dispatch them to hunt down vampires, whose numbers had noticeably surged leading to a number of hunting parties needing me to go rescue them as they used the connection they had with me to call for help.
That encounter marked my first clash with a Nosferatu, "The Fool," and surprisingly, it unfolded rather smoothly. Despite his tier 4 status, he possessed minimal offensive prowess, leaving me relatively unscathed. However, the ease of our confrontation did little to quell my unease. Driving away the weakest of the Nosferatu hardly reassured me, especially when he conveyed that his king had taken notice of my actions. That was a month ago, and now I brace myself for the imminent onslaught—a massive vampire attack or perhaps even a direct assault from the king himself.
This heightened urgency for leveling drove me to seek out challenges more frequently. Some nights would find me immersed in battles within the Nightosphere, facing off against demons in intense combat. Other times, I went and hung out with Abadeer and Marceline, who, at the age of 13, had received her iconic axe from Hunson. Under his tutelage, she honed her skills with the weapon.
This left my level at a respectable 35, a significant achievement considering each successive level demanded exponentially greater effort to attain. Nonetheless, my progression remained swift, largely due to Hunson frequently dispatching me to eliminate demons by the hundreds, if not thousands. It became evident that the Nightosphere was vast, teeming with life, with my rough estimates suggesting a population numbering in the millions.
That's what mostly happens over the course of these 5 years.
