Kaelos

He entered the dark halls leading to the throne room. There was not a single ray of light in the hallway. Growling, he walked grudgingly to the throne room.

  "Kaelos," his mother called softly.

He bowed his head, "Yes mother?"

  "Where is she? You promised to bring her home."

He shook his head, "What do you mean? You made a promise to bring her here!"

He sighed, "I am sorry mother, there was nothing I could do. Her brother was so furious when he saw me. I could not get past him," he exhaled, mumbling the words to himself.

   "You have disappointed me greatly Kaelos, I trusted you. Do you not know your we risk Astrid claiming the throne?!"

   Astrid was his half brother. His father had married five wives, but only his mother, and his step brother's mother birthed a male.
