Defeat

In a frenzy of power, thick columns of energy shot out, injuring the Angels.

But just as disaster seemed imminent, a shimmering blue barrier appeared, shielding the vulnerable Angels. The energy onslaught was stopped in its tracks.

Instead of backing down, the Angels pushed forward with determination. The barrier, though thin, expanded endlessly, blocking the advancing energy columns at every turn. No matter how hard they tried, the energy couldn't break through, fizzling out into nothingness.

Not only did the barrier fend off the energy assault, but it also trapped the countless flying fighters and massive spacecraft in its azure grasp, immobilizing them.

"You've interrupted my thoughts," a commanding voice echoed through the air.

Out of nowhere, a majestic throne appeared in the sky, with Caesar seated upon it. He lounged comfortably, crossing his left leg and propping up his head with his hand, while tapping the air with his right hand.

With each tap, waves of powerful blue energy spread outward, creating concentric rings that expanded like ripples on a pond, strengthening the force that kept the Ravagers in place.

As the Angels gathered around the throne, they bowed in respect, honoring Caesar.

"Unbelievable. How can such a guy be here? What's going on?" gasped the flayer, on the verge of defeat. Caesar's presence had unexpectedly halted the conflict, offering a momentary break and saving lives.

"We have already done a scan of the planet earlier, but alas, there was no sign of his presence whatsoever," Aleta remarked with an shock.

"You're quite aware of yourself, I must say! As for that scan, I managed to block it," Caesar declared, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Taserface's frustration boiled over, "How's that possible? That scanner's the latest from the Kree Empire! Even the infamous Thanos couldn't dodge its detection. How did you manage to block it? Who are you?"

Caesar chuckled, "Ah, so you're familiar with Thanos. Unfortunately for him, what he can't do doesn't necessarily apply to me. We each have our own strength s and weaknesses" He tapped the Space gem on his hand. "This gem alone is enough to thwart any scan. And as for who I am, well, to you, perhaps I'm akin to a God."

With a sense of finality, Caesar rose from his seat, casting a disdainful gaze over the assembled group.

Starka stole a glance at Caesar before turning his attention to the other Ravager leaders. Meanwhile, Aleta seemed resigned to her fate, standing motionless.

Taserface teetered on the brink of collapse, his emotions spiraling out of control. Beside him, the giant sat in a pool of blood, struggling to catch his breath amidst numerous wounds.

The remaining plunderers had been rounded up and detained, leaving little hope for survival.

Closing his eyes tightly, Starka suddenly snapped them open and directed a respectful gaze towards Caesar. "My lord, if you spare of our lives we will pledge to serve you faithfully and keep the knowledge of this place secret from all outsiders."

Impressed, Caesar nodded approvingly at Starka. "You show loyalty and intelligence. With your command abilities and strength, you're a valuable asset. In this vast universe, you're certainly among the skilled players."

"Then, all of you, surrender to me!"

"How's that possible? We're freedom fighters! We'll never surrender," declared one of the captives defiantly.

An imprisoned Ravager roared angrily and thrashed against his restraints, but the shackles held him firmly in place.

Caesar's right finger tapped lightly, and the defiant Ravager, known for its unwavering commitment to freedom, began to convulse rapidly, shrinking into a small black dot before vanishing entirely.

"I was planning to wipe you all out," Caesar confessed.

Originally, Caesar had intended to eradicate them all. However, faced with the multitude of Ravagers in sight, a different option emerged.

[A large number of Ravagers are detected planning an attack on the host's territory. Choose your course of action!]

[Option 1: Wipe out all aggressors. Reward: Significant promotion for current low-level Angels, moderate promotion for middle-level Angels.]

[Option 2: Repel the attackers. Reward: Modest promotion for current low-level Angels, immediate hatching of Angels from the reincarnation pool for two years.]

[Option 3: Force the attackers to surrender. Reward: Forced loyalty from surrenderers, with loyalty increasing over time.]

Struggling with a shortage of ground personnel, Caesar wasted no time in choosing the surrender option upon seeing the system's rewards.

"Now, will you reject this rare display of kindness?" Caesar's gaze swept over the remaining Marauders coldly as he tapped his fingers once more, causing another struggling Ravager to vanish.

The imprisoned Ravagers dared not move, their eyes fixed on their leader.

Taserface torn and battered, revealed his chests. Inside, amidst a lattice of metal lines, pulsed a powerful energy source emitting a dangerous red glow.

"Let us go. Otherwise, I'll detonate it! It's powerful enough to obliterate everyone!" Taserface threatened.
