"Son, come over, Dad's giving you some money to spend," Old Wang called out to his son.
His son was clearly baffled. Old Wang was actually offering him money? Usually, he was just grateful not to be scolded. He wondered what was going on today. But he didn't dare defy Old Wang's wishes, for fear of being scolded again. So, he scampered over.
Seeing his son hurry over so quickly put Old Wang in an excellent mood. He immediately reached into his pocket, pulled out some cash, and handed a few bills to his son. Although he didn't count exactly how much he had pulled out, it must have been at least two or three hundred bucks.
Old Wang's son looked at the money his dad had given him, his face a picture of confusion.
"Go on, buy whatever you need, and don't worry about saving for your dad. When it's all gone, you can just ask for more," Old Wang patted his son's shoulder, then turned and walked towards his room.
