Beth followed Jack as he tried to get away from her to not hear the truth.

"If you abandon me now after everything that I have done, I will ruin you," Beth warned, serious with her threat. 

If she had to fall back to the life she had before Jack, Beth was going to ruin his life as well. He could not fill her head with all these dreams and then take them back now that he was jealous Scarlet had a man at her side.

Beth stopped when Jack abruptly stopped before her. She didn't think he was crazy enough to harm her, but this was the same man throwing her out. "This is my home as well. I spent time decorating it. I will go to your mother if you try to kick me out."
