Her knowing gaze bore into Alice, her expression cool and unreadable, leaving Alice momentarily speechless.

Alice opened her mouth to retort, but Hera didn't give her the chance. Her voice cut through the air like a blade, calm yet laced with disdain. 

"I didn't even invite you to join us here," Hera began, her gaze fixed firmly on Alice.

"You shamelessly tagged along, disrupting our meal, making things difficult for me and my people. And now, as if that wasn't enough, you're resorting to slander?"
