Siron City

"Doctors, or to be more specific, Physicians. People do respect them but only if you have some sort of merit. It is not an attractive career which is why most people would rather become an Alchemist or an Herbalist," said Lewis.

"Why are Alchemist and Herbalist more popular?" asked Han curiously. 'I despise Herbalist's since it reminds me of that psychopath,' he shivered just thinking about that it.

"You see each profession has a tower or an organization behind it. For example, there is an Alchemist Tower and the Herbalist Alliance, but you will be surprised to know that there is no such thing for Physicians. An organization or a Tower is made to handle professions popular throughout the kingdom, which is why there is no need for one for Physicians. Plus, it is easier to become an Alchemist or an Herbalist compared to Physicians since their organizations guide them while Physicians do not have anyone who guides them. Several Physician families pass down their skills through generations, mostly those Physicians are the ones who have merit," said Lewis informing Han calmly.

"Does that mean no one wants to become a Physician anymore?" asked Han.

Lewis chuckled upon hearing this. "There are Physicians in this kingdom but only the ones with good skills are accepted by the people. It is a competitive profession compared to others, but most people still prefer being a Physician since they are not held back by an organization. Alchemists and herbalists must join their organizations if not then put in prison. That said there are several guilds and other organizations that do want to hire Physicians, but they put them through a test and if they pass, they get fame and wealth".

'Thank God I will not have to join an organization forcefully. Things are so different here,' thought Han relieved. "Then if people don't prefer to go to Physicians, where do they go if they're injured?" he asked curiously.

"You don't know anything about the outside world," commented Lewis's hearing Han's dumb questions.

Han laughed awkwardly.

"But do not worry I will tell you," said Lewis. 'I'm bored, so talking to him, time passes by quickly,' he thought. It seemed like he had taken quite a liking to the Talented Physician.

"So mostly Civilians cannot afford anything an Alchemist, or an Herbalist creates since they are highly priced. Instead, they go to Physicians to treat superficial injuries but if they have an internal injury they will die if they do not buy potions. For Mages and Weapon Masters, they go to Alchemist for injuries since most of them can afford it," said Lewis.

Han nodded hearing this information. 'Seems like I got my work cut out for me if I want to open up a clinic here.'

"We have 1 more hour to go till we reach Siron City", said Lewis.

'Still, 1 hour to go, I'm surprised I can still walk', thought Han sighing as he walked.

"I know you said that you came to visit Siron on some business. I am curious so could you tell me what business you came to Siron for," said Lewis as he glared at Han.

'Oh, please have mercy on me, I am but a useless and harmless traveler. I am not going through that pressure again, I was about to piss my pants before,' thought Han tearing up.

"I'm just going there to retrieve some items that my parents left in Siron," blurted Han calmly.

"Interesting, that makes me think that you don't know what's going on in Siron," said Lewis.

"W-what do you mean by that?" asked Han nervously. 'I have a bad feeling about this.'

"I thought you knew since you were traveling in the carriage with us," said Lewis.

'I did find it strange that there were only 3 people in the carriage traveling to Siron while the other carriages were full to the brim', thought Han suspiciously.

"Well, a new continent was discovered a few years ago, the king named it, The Eastern Continent. This was life-altering news to most citizens. Currently, an empire from the Eastern Continent is waging war on Siron City," said Lewis.

A bomb exploded in Han's mind as he processed this information. He nearly fainted hearing this news.

"Your reaction tells me you didn't know anything about this.," said Lewis surprised. 'I was wondering why such a weak person was walking to his death. He did not know. Sucks to be him I guess,' he snickered.

Han shook his head, but he remembered something as he came back to his senses. 'Didn't the grey blob say something about Continents? I thought he said the Eastern and Western Continents had been discovered. So, this means I am on the Western Continent.'

[Your Agility has been increased by 3]

[Your Intelligence has been increased by 1]

'Well thank you. So, this Is how I can increase my stats. Good to know. Anyways, so the Western and Eastern Continent have not come to an agreement yet and still are fighting', thought Han flabbergasted.

[Think on the bright side, Host].

'What bright side? There is a bright side,' questioned Han cursing his bad luck.

[Affirmative. Since the Host is going to open a Clinic near a War Zone would not that mean the Host will have a lot of patients to treat when the Clinic is opened].

Han was silent and contemplated what Sophie said. Thinking about this calmly he brightened up. 'It feels bad hoping people get injuries so I can treat them,' he thought feeling guilty.

"Why did you pick this carriage anyways, there were so many other carriages going to different cities," said Lewis.

'That damn grandma, it's all because of her, I even gave her a silver coin how could she do this to me,' thought Han clenching his fist in anger.

"What can you do now? Since we are there. I recommend you do not go near war zones considering how weak you are, you will be squished right away. Just stay out of danger then you will be able to survive longer. But considering the war is about to be over it might not be so bad," said Lewis.

Han sweated nervously. 'Is it too late to turn back?'

[The Host does not need to worry. You have me to assist you if anything goes wrong].

Hearing what Sophie said calmed him down. 'You're right I got this. It should not be that bad.'

"We are almost there," said Lewis pointing at a gate.

Han could see the gate. The closer they got to the city entrance the eerier the surroundings felt.

After a few minutes, the trio arrived at an entrance that was guarded by 4 soldiers.

'Shouldn't they have tight security considering there's a war ongoing,' thought Han seeing only 4 soldiers equipped with shields guarding the entrance.

"STOP! Who goes there!" said the soldiers alarmed.

Lewis took out a token that had 'RORD' written on it and showed it to the soldiers.

"Clear! You may enter, Young Master Rord," said the soldiers bowing to Lewis.

'Woah. A classic fantasy noble moment. How fascinating,' thought Han observing the scene.

"What are you waiting for? Follow me. Let me introduce you to the 2nd largest city of the continent", said Lewis snapping Han out of his thoughts.

Han nodded and entered the city.

"This is Siron City," said Lewis smiling.

There were several tall structures built in the city that Han could see far away. He could see several houses made from bricks. He also saw some inns and stores, but he found everything a bit strange seeing the empty streets.

Han was currently standing on a street that did not have a single person on it. "Why is everything so deserted," he said.

"There is a war ongoing next door. Do you expect people to even step outside for a moment," said Lewis.

An explosion was heard from the forest and the smoke rose to the sky.

"Shit. Things are getting out of hand," said Lewis. 'I have to send backup after I leave Arra in the villa safely,' he thought as he ran to his destination.

"I must go now. It was nice knowing you," said Lewis as he ran holding his sister on his shoulders.

"I'm surprised the city is still standing," commented Han.

[Host, would you like me to analyze Siron City].

'You can do that! Sure,' thought Han.

[Affirmative. Analyzing…]

[Analyzing Completed]

[The Host has gained a new skill].

[Maps- Guiding the Host. Must analyze the city before using maps.]

Han immediately opened the Map feature without delay.

A Map of the city appeared in front of Han on a blue screen.

"How do I use this?", asked Han.

[Just pinpoint on the map where you wish to go Host then the Map will guide you].

"The point is I don't know where to go. So, can you tell me an area closer to the coast which currently has no owner so I can build the clinic there? Preferably an isolated area, it is easy to find because of the war", said Han thinking of his ideal clinic.

[After hearing the Host's requests, I have found 2 results. I am pinpointing the locations on the map].

2 blue dots appeared on the map. Both were near the coast.

Han saw a red skull sign near one of the locations. "This doesn't look good. What is this sign,

Sophie", he asked cautiously.

[The Sign stands for a War Zone].

"Ok...This is out, so there's only this location left", said Han clicking on the other option.

[Location selected. Please follow the arrow to arrive at your destination].

A blue arrow appeared on the ground. 'This is so cool. Just like a game,' Han thought excitedly.

"I am coming for you to my future Clinic. Just wait for me," said Han as he followed the arrow.
