Meanwhile, the moment the chipmunk caught sight of Vargus, its tiny eyes widened momentarily before it succumbed to overwhelming shock.

Despite its apparent ability to somewhat influence the winged beast it rode upon, the chipmunk was ill-prepared for the formidable presence of Vargus. The sheer intensity of his aura, emanating strength and authority, proved too much for the small creature.
