Rocket Raccoon was repairing the spaceship with a device resembling a 3D printer when Clark and Daisy suddenly appeared, startling him. Rocket instantly leaped back, swiftly grabbed his rocket launcher from his shoulder, and aimed it at Clark, asking, "What do you want?"
Simultaneously, the towering tree creature Groot stepped forward, shielding Rocket: "I am Groot!"
Clark ignored the duo, focusing instead on Nebula, who was handcuffed nearby. Without any visible action from him, the cuffs disintegrated into iron dust that scattered on the floor. Then, with a whoosh, the Night Sky Sword, previously confiscated by the Guardians of the Galaxy, flew from the ship's storage under Clark's telekinetic control and landed in front of Nebula.
Sword in hand, Nebula once again transformed into her full-power form that the entire Guardians team had struggled to defeat. Clark turned to see Rocket looking subdued and Groot appearing ready to protect his friend at all costs. It was then that Clark spoke, "I have good news and bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"
At Clark's dramatic introduction, Rocket's face twisted into a mocking smirk: "The bad news is, you want to kill us. The good news is, you think it's an honor for us?"
"Let's not be so hostile," Clark gestured with his hands. "I mean you no harm."
If it were anyone else talking like this, Rocket would have already blasted them away. But the memory of Clark's terrifying strength, demonstrated when he effortlessly killed Ronan, was still vivid in their minds. To avoid endangering Groot, Rocket controlled his temper and conversed calmly with Clark.
Realizing Clark wasn't immediately hostile, Rocket quickly connected the dots: "Is your news about Quill's father?"
Nodding slightly, Clark continued, "The good news is, that guy named Ego is indeed Peter Quill's father; the bad news is, he's far from being a good guy."
Rocket was naturally skeptical of Clark's words. The Guardians always maintained a degree of suspicion, no matter who they dealt with.
This was not without reason.
It was the only way to survive longer in this chaotic universe.
Seeing their suspicion, Clark continued nonchalantly, "The Ego you met is just one of his avatars. His true form is the planet Ego itself. Don't look so surprised. The universe is vast and strange, and just because you haven't seen or heard of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist."
Clark detailed this not only to convince them to cooperate but also for Daisy's benefit, to cultivate this somewhat inexperienced but powerful Avenger.
Clark had a feeling that in the coming crises, Daisy would definitely be needed.
After hearing so much, Rocket finally voiced his first question, "So, he's not seeking Quill out of fatherly love but for other reasons?"
Clark nodded again, "He seeks power and immortality."
"Immortality?" Daisy interjected, almost disbelievingly. "Didn't you just say he's essentially a living planet?"
"If that's the case, shouldn't his life be incredibly long already? Does he really need other methods to sustain his life?"
"No matter how long a life is, it eventually comes to an end," Clark explained with a smile. "To truly achieve immortality, he chooses to devour other planets to enhance his power and lifespan. Earth is also within his hunting range. The seeds he planted earlier are too numerous, and he can no longer evolve those seeds into a force capable of devouring a planet on his own, so he needs an offspring."
"He uses his avatars to travel to various planets, procreating with women from different planets and races. He then retrieves the offspring, hoping to harness their power to fulfill his ambitions..."
As Clark spoke, he shook his head slightly, showing a hint of displeasure, "Just as I'm explaining, someone comes to interrupt. Can't I finish speaking for once?"
With that, he turned and walked out of the spaceship.
The ship's door opened automatically without any command, not hindering his stride in the slightest.
As Clark left the cabin, Daisy and Nebula naturally followed, with Rocket and Groot exchanging glances before trailing behind.
Stepping outside, they immediately felt a powerful pressure descending from the sky, shaking the surrounding branches, some of which snapped under the force. Rocket and Groot struggled to breathe, while Clark and Daisy appeared unaffected, their hair not even disturbed.
Finally, as for Nebula, she had no hair to be disturbed.
Clark subtly altered the environment around Daisy and Nebula to shield them from the impact. He looked up just in time to see a spacecraft shaped like a locust descending, landing not far in front of them.
"Ha ha ha!" Along with a loud laugh, Yondu emerged from the opening hatch with a crowd behind him, grinning as he spoke:
"Didn't expect that, did ya, Quill? Thought I caught you again! But—how come it's you!"
Yondu had never expected to encounter this formidable figure here!
He knew firsthand that he was no match for Clark. Over the past year, Clark had challenged virtually every renowned warrior in the universe—be it Shi'ar gladiators, Elders of the Universe, or Star-Consumers—none escaped his grasp.
As for Thanos, who Clark had particularly focused on, he had completely vanished from the universe, hiding in some forgotten corner.
Clark, now universally acknowledged as the foremost power in the universe, seemed to embody the adage: "Without rivals, who dares compete?"
Not just Yondu, any seasoned warrior in the universe would tremble at finding Clark on the opposing side!
Clark smiled slightly and whispered to Daisy, "What you lack now is not strength, but combat experience. Even against weaker foes, you must be decisive when necessary. Understand?"
Daisy nodded seriously.
After so long with the Avengers, she was no longer the naive hacker of her youth. She had, unavoidably, blood on her hands.
However, on Earth, the major threats had mostly been handled by Clark and other veteran Avengers, leaving little challenge for her. Following the principle of capturing alive if possible, she hadn't actually killed many.
For Earthlings, even those most wicked, Daisy would prefer to subdue and leave to the law. But for aliens... that was another matter.
As Clark paused, a man with dark circles under his eyes stepped forward from Yondu's side, sneering, "Listen up, you're surrounded. Hand over the traitor Quill if you know what's good for you."
"And we want those two women behind you too!"
"It's been a while since the boys had some fun!"
"Heh heh heh..."
With a hundred or so of Yondu's men behind him, laughter erupted at the dark-circled man's words.
Clark's smile broadened, then he asked, "Who among you is interested in the women by my side?"
As he spoke, the Soul Stone on his shoulder flickered, indicating he was using its power to perform a sophisticated hypnotic technique, compelling people to reveal their deepest desires.
Known throughout the universe for his deeds but not by face, many didn't recognize this seemingly harmless young man as the Prince Clark who had defeated Ronan, crippled Thanos, and dominated the cosmos.
Not knowing who he was, they naturally had no fear.
Yondu and his lieutenant Kraglin knew how terrifying Clark could be, but when they tried to warn their men, they found themselves completely immobilized by some force, unable to move or speak.
So, they could only watch as their overconfident fools cheered.
"I do!"
"Me too!"
"I'll take the one with long hair and %@#$*..."
"I'm more interested in the blue one!"
...
As laughter and shouts filled the air, almost all openly admitted their intentions towards Daisy and Nebula once captured.
Clark nodded knowingly, then asked Daisy, "Got all that?"
After awakening her Eternals gene, Daisy also possessed a superhuman brain, easily remembering the responses of a hundred or so men: "I remember them all, not one mistake."
"That's good," Clark nodded in satisfaction, then commanded, "Kill all those who should be killed."
