Chapter 12: Enemy from the Dark (Part 3)_1

Seemingly sensing that Sky Scar and Feng Yuan posed no threat, the other three black-clothed men quickly regrouped with the first one who attacked. One of them said, "Quit your complaining, at least we caught a Space Superpower User. That's some credit. Space-related supernatural beings are rare, let's bring them back."

Sky Scar observed their utter disregard for his and Feng Yuan's predicament. Instead of getting angry, he felt rather pleased. He calmly said, "Could you let my friend go? I know you are after me. I'll go with you willingly." He wasn't being generous, but he knew he wouldn't be able to escape today. It was better for one of them to escape than both of them to be trapped.

"Humph? No one who knows our identity has ever left alive. That kid is from the Holy Alliance, so he might live a while longer. If not, we don't need him. Fourth Brother, get rid of that kid. Make it clean."

With a flash of dark light, one of the black-clothed men lunged forward, completely ignoring Sky Scar. His target was Feng Yuan.

Feng Yuan's hands flashed yellow, and he swung the laser whip forward swiftly. Meanwhile, a small whirlwind appeared in his left hand. He shouted, "Wait, I'm also a supernatural being from the Holy Alliance. I'll go with you."

Sky Scar, who was about to fight back, paused. Looking at the black-clothed man who had already closed in but was now suspended in mid-air, he suddenly felt insignificant. His level 3 abilities were indeed too weak among the supernatural beings.

"You call that a supernatural power?" The black-clothed man unexpectedly burst into hearty laughter looking at the pathetic little whirlwind in Feng Yuan's hand.

Feng Yuan forced a laugh, "Yes, yes, how can my small abilities compare to yours? I have an elderly mother and a child not even one year old at home. Can you consider letting me off the hook..."

Upon hearing Feng Yuan's plea, Sky Scar was sincerely wishing he could knock this kid out. His tactics were entirely futile.

The black-clothed man looked at Feng Yuan with amusement, and after hearing his plea, responded, "What does your family have to do with me? Fine, for making me laugh, we'll take you too. Let Marquis decide your fate."

The black mist suddenly filled the space around Sky Scar and Feng Yuan without warning. Sky Scar immediately moved closer to Feng Yuan, swiftly withdrawing his spatial special ability, and let his dark ability pervade his skin. As the black fog rushed in, a startled Feng Yuan yawned and slumped as if he had fallen asleep.

Sky Scar's actions were quite right. The black fog didn't have the usual effect under his dark system ability. Seeing Feng Yuan's behaviour, he quickly followed suit and feigned unconsciousness. He knew that opportunities required waiting. He believed that these people living in the darkness would not always be on guard.

The black light faded, and the being known as Fourth Brother laughed, "Big Brother, what do you think? My hypnotic abilities have improved, haven't they?"

The first man who acted, snorted, "What's there to gloat about? Just get them out of here. And don't forget, dealing with that bitch Oya isn't easy. Have you forgotten the Marquis's orders?"

Upon hearing the word 'Marquis' from his brother, Fourth Brother trembled all over. He grabbed Sky Scar and Feng Yuan with each hand without taking Feng Yuan's laser whip. The four of them took flight, staying close to the ground.

Sky Scar didn't dare to open his eyes but sensed Feng Yuan's physical condition, continuously adjusting his own condition to match Feng Yuan's using cosmic energy. He couldn't see, but his hearing was intact. He found that these black-clothed men were not moving very fast, seemingly only at half sonic speed, and they were frequently changing direction on a large scale, which was quite confusing.

What does 'Marquis' mean? Could it be the title for Dark Series Ability User? This seemed to be a title used in ancient times in the West. It seemed that this Marquis was stronger than these several supernatural beings. The abilities of these four supernatural beings should be similar to Teacher Liao En's. It seemed that only by reaching their lair might he find an opportunity.

Perhaps because he himself possessed the Dark Alien Ability, Sky Scar didn't harbor much resentment towards these Dark Series Ability Users. Now, he didn't wish for Madame Oya to come to his rescue, because once these Dark Ability Users were discovered, they would likely meet a dire fate in front of Madame Oya. He also lacked confidence that his Dark Alien Ability could remain hidden from her.

A wave of damp, musty odor hit his senses, coupled with sounds of faint flowing water. The surrounding decadent smell made him uncomfortable, leading him to surmise, 'Could these Dark Ability Users be living in the sewers?'.

The sensation of weightlessness caused Sky Scar's heart to leap into his throat. If he wasn't being supported on the shoulder by the one they called "Fourth Brother" - a Dark Ability User - he would have opened his eyes long ago.

The downward travel which seemed to last forever, made Sky Scar's heart beat a little faster. Fortunately, Fourth Brother remained wholly focused on his flying skill; thus, he noticed nothing amiss.

The moment Fourth Brother's feet solidly hit the ground, Sky Scar felt a jerk. Fourth Brother exhaled deeply, seemingly relaxing a bit, and proceeded to move at a quick pace. Sky Scar tried hard to remember the surroundings based on his auditory senses, which he found quite challenging to do.

Finally, after two more minutes, their speed slowed down. The rushing wind and jingling sounds, likely of metal clashing, ceased. Sky Scar felt a jolt throughout his body as he was thrown out like a cloud being swept by the wind. Pain surged through him, but fortunately, he had the Cosmic Energy protecting him. Otherwise, he would have screamed in pain. Clearly, he had been tossed onto the ground by Fourth Brother.

"Fourth Brother, impose the restraint on both of them," ordered the 'Big Brother'.

"Big Brother, is there a need? What mischief can these two shrimps stir up?" Fourth Brother wasn't thrilled with this idea.

"Ha, better safe than sorry. Did you forget they have biological computers? If we don't use our abilities to seal them, and the pretentious guys from the Holy Alliance are drawn here because of them, do you think you can handle the consequences?"

Fourth Brother dared not say anything further. Sky Scar felt a wave rush through his body as a cold, overbearing stream of energy entered him. He didn't dare resist, and the energy spread through his body instantaneously, fully restraining his Cosmic Energy. Its effect was much stronger than the seal placed on him by Liao En to restrict his abilities earlier. Now, he couldn't even move a finger.

The sound of a heavy door closing echoed in the room. Sky Scar didn't dare move. He carefully operated his internal Darkness System Ability, protecting his main meridians and hiding his Spatial Special Ability and a portion of his Cosmic Energy before the power of the restraint could enter his body. Under the effect of Cosmic Energy, the combined forces of the two types of abilities started to take effect. The tearing property of Spatial Special Ability, coupled with the corrosiveness of the Dark Alien Ability, attacked the internal restraints together.

Sky Scar was smart with his tactic. Knowing that he was much weaker than Fourth Brother, he didn't dare directly clash with the restraint in his body. Fourth Brother clearly looked down on him, resulting in the restraint placed being strong, but not meticulous. Sky Scar's approach was simple: use his Level Three abilities, namely his two alien abilities, to gradually remove the weakest parts of the restraint, thereby bridging pathways to the cosmic energies within other parts of his body.

Spatial Special Abilities were best known for breaking restraints, and the Dark Alien Ability, possessing the same attribute as the restraint, made Sky Scar's attempts surprisingly smooth. To his astonishment, not only were the restraints gradually weakened, but a tiny fraction was converted into his own power. His Dark Series Ability was getting stronger little by little.

When Sky Scar regained connection with his biological computer, he found out that two hours had passed since his capture. Just when he was about to open his eyes to survey his surroundings, he heard distinct footsteps approaching. He hurriedly used the miraculous Cosmic Energy to adjust himself to the same state as Feng Yuan, fearing any misstep. He didn't want his previous efforts to go in vain.

The door opened, no one spoke. Sky Scar suddenly felt a jolt in his body as his chest and abdomen were pressed against a sturdy shoulder. Along with the footsteps, he had left the previous room. In a similar manner, Feng Yuan was carried by another person as they moved towards their unknown fate.

When Sky Scar was thrown to the ground again, the sinister energy around him intensified. He heard Fourth Brother's voice, "Marquis, these are the newly captured Sacred Alliance Controllers."

A languid voice echoed, "So it's them! Fourth Brother, I notice you're getting more capable."

The voice was female, and just hearing it made Sky Scar feel as if the blood in his body was boiling. The voice was filled with a powerful seductive force; if his will hadn't been strong enough, he would've probably opened his eyes by now.
