Going on a hunt
Amelia looked at the fragile Qin Meng. This girl looks so weak Amelia is worried she will fall off just standing there.
"You can come in." Amelia let her in and made her seat on a long chair before checking her pulse. She sent her mental power and scanned the girl from top to bottom. When she finished there is surprise and understanding on her face.
Amelia went to the other side of the desk and at down she told the secretary to take away the juice she was going to offer the girl. That juice has great heath value if this girl drank it, the consequences Qin Meng didn't say anything after she saw this. "The good news is that you are not sick miss Qin." As soon as she said this.
Meng's polite expression disappeared replaced by a cold sneer. The sudden change in her aura make Amelia raise her eyebrow.
"Heh, just another slut trying to use me to get close to my brother." Qin Meng said looking at Amelia's beautiful face in disgust.
"Did you say you will cure me and make all sort of promises to my brother just to get his attention? I will tell you right now to forget about it." Meng is very jealous of this girl in front of her, beautiful and powerful in this base. So what? Doesn't this beautiful girl still need to suck up to her for her brother's attention?
"Are you one of those with healing powers? I have heard enough with you people. Stop using me and stop cycling by brother like a pack of hyenas." Meng seems to be venting all her frustrations on to Amelia. Not to mention those powers make her even more sick, instead of healing it should be killing powers.
Secretary Bai who has been working for the base leader became infuriated and wanted to retort. She was there when the man named Qin asked Amelia to help cure his little sister. As if Amelia can feel his anger she shook her head at secretary Bai stopping him from acting up.
Amelia waited for the girl to finish her ranting "You can go back, I will send someone to get you when I have made the pill that will help you." Amelia's expression didn't change.
Meng stood up and left after hearing her words. She paused her steps before going out, she turned around and looked at Amelia in the eyes. Finding her expression the same as before, she huffed in annoyance and stomped her feet in anger.
"How impudent! Leader, can she really get away with treating you like this?" Secretary Bai asked in exasperation.
"Let her be, I agreed to cure her so that her brother will not be distracted when doing the job I have given him. Her attitude does not matter." Amelia drank the juice herself. The refreshing taste and the slight spirit qi made her body relax.
"In fact, the leader's attitude is right. If the leader taught her a lesson just now, she may change her ways in the future. But if she continues like this, many people will despise her and target her. Look how weak she is, what kind of life can she live without her brother?" Another secretary called Shu Long said in ridicule.
Amelia left them and went to make the nullifying artifacts. She wants to ensure they are ready by the time Qin Ai finished building the training facility.
Amelia went to the inside of the boiler room in the space. She is a little paranoid about someone looking through her secrets so her forging place is inside her space. She made the slabs similar in size to the ones the solders wear around their neck.
The iron ore from the mountains is melted and purified until the color is a shining silver, she used a special method to make it less susceptible to rusting and any form of filth. She used her soul power and inscribed the ancient symbols for nullifying powers and then carved out each slab leaving it to dry.
Anyone who wears it will become an ordinary person until they take it off. This process exhausted her soul power, Amelia took back the 400 metal slabs, gave them to secretary Shu so they can be turned into wearable accessories. She then fell asleep inside the bedroom in the space.
Amelia is not aware but this operation took three days. She on the other hand slept for tow days. While she was working and sleeping, Qin Ai has been working like a bee building a magnificent training facility.
Amelia had stored building materials inside one of the lower ground floors in the main building. The one that has easier access to the underground parking so they can be moved easily.
Qin Ai used the materials to make training grounds similar to the ones in the army. The process took a day an a half. Many supernatural powers were used. In the end all his requirements were fulfilled and he is satisfied.
Amelia successfully made items spelled with a weakening inscription. To make powered people become normal humans so that Qin Ai can train them effectively without encountering accidents.
"Mr. Qin, this is the item, put it on all of them before training."
"Thank you base leader. Training will start this week." He looked at her in slight hesitation, it was quickly covered and he spoke in a strong voice.
"I'll like permission to move them to the empty building while they are under going training. This will allow me a way to wake them on time. A kitchen will be opened upstairs in building 3. I have checked it, water is running, electricity is available and it is closer to the training grounds. This will ensure there are no distractions." Qin Ai wondered if he had asked for too much just now.
"I will also like to contact the plant supernatural powered people to make bunk beds for me. I wonder if there are more mattresses and sleeping items?"
Amelia thought back to her hording days with a fond smile. Had she bothered to leave those things behind she would be very regretful now.
"Alright. Do as you wish. I just wish for results soon." She turned to leave but Qin Ai stopped her.
"How is my sister? Is she cured?"
"I sent her back that day because she is not sick but there are worms feeding on her vitality. Tell me, has she ever swap in deep water? A cold lake or something similar?" Amelia tilted her head.
"When we are young, all of us are required to under go special training, and swimming in dangerous deep waters is part of it." Qin Ai seemed to be recalling something and said "Meng'er was once fished out of a deep lake and her heart stopped for a few minutes before miraculously recovering. After that event she became weak and sickly. Do these worms live in deep waters?"
"Yes but since they have been inside of her for so long it will be very dangerous to force them out. It is better to lure them out instead." Amelia and Qin Ai walked on the path to the general office.
Qin Ai seemed surprised by this and a little disturbed. His little sister has suffered all this time. "Is that why healing powers make her suffer even more? How are you going to lure them out? If I may ask."
"I will give her medicine that will shut down her system making her seem dead. The important thing is the rapid lowering of the body temperature during this period. These creatures are born in cold deep waters and once they take on a host they must live in a warm environment from then on or they will die."
Qin Ai has a gloomy expression on his face. "Can this be done without killing her?"
"The only way they will leave her body is when she dies and not a second before, I am sorry." Amelia said but there is no sympathy on her face.
"Alright, when are we doing this? I need to be there for her when it happens." He said in a cold tone but Amelia can feel heartache.
Amelia doesn't care much for his gloomy expression. "Make sure you don't inform your sister about it, those things are influencing her mind making her paranoid and agitated for small things."
"What do you mean? Meng'er is very obedient." Qin frowned. Amelia didn't care if he believes her or not.
"You care for her so do as I have said." The tone is cold as if she has been doubted.
"I wont tell her, but I am telling you that she is not a willful child." Qin Ai defended his sister.
"As long as you do what I have said." Her expression got a little better.
"The training grounds are finished now send someone else to collect whatever you need from the general office, if they give you problems call old Mo." Amelia turned and left.
"I think you irritated the noble lady." One of his men laughed at his darkened expression.
"She made assumptions about Meng'er." Qin Ai said. No one said anything when they heard him speak of his sister, they all know she is a paceline doll in his heart.
Amelia went to take a walk with Jack Jack. That is the name she gave to her puppy who can now reach her her knees and weigh more than 30kg. The three heads don't look peculiar anymore, it's as if this is how he should look. It's three set of eyes have different color pupils. One green, one orange and a normal black color.
Amelia had hoped it means it has three supernatural powers but so far it hasn't shown her any power but she is not worried. The little guy licks her with its three tongues pulling on her dress so they can go outside.
"Alright Jack Jack settle down." Helpless, she used her jade slip into the private gate that leads to the woods behind the hospital. As soon as they got outside the puppy ran as if being chased disappearing from view.
In truth, Jack Jack loves mutated meat so it will leave to hunt animals large enough to fill its belly. Amelia will always roast the meat and put spices to make it more delicious which makes Jack Jack salivate even more.
She went and looked for a camping site since there is a gate now that leads to this place, Amelia decided to make a cabin in the woods. Her level 9 plant powers can bend and shape wood at will so she didn't waste time.
She materialized her power, wood elements are strongest in this place so there is no resistance as she puts large square foundation that even drills to part the ground creating a large basement.
She put up wooden walls. These walls are as strong as stone if not iron because of her higher level of power. The wood power is now become like the elements power, she can make the wood any shape she wants other then vines.
This is why she can make smooth thick walls tall enough for two story building. The house is shaped just like the one in her space. She stepped inside and the wood didn't make any sound as if its a stone floor.
She likes the smell of wood better than the stone buildings. The entire place is empty even as it has a bathtub and toilets. One on the ground floor one upstairs. She hurries and made a fire place and then took out a fluffy dog pillow large enough for Jack jack.
She placed it in a distance where he can still enjoy the fire but it is not close enough. She went to the kitchen and took out the braai stand and opened the wooden built in kitchen cabinets. She puts spices and utensils she will be using during the time she spends here.
She waited until Jack came with a wild pig. Pulling it in the new house with curious eyes. He drops the game and followed her to the large tub where he tan take a bath. Jack has been raised to wash up when he is dirty before he plays with his toys and lay on his sleeping place.
She washes Jack and dries him up. She takes out a brush, Jack takes one look at it and bolts for the door. "Jack jack you have to let me brush your fur. Look how tangled it is now that you were rolling on dirt." Amelia said sternly but the dog didn't even look back.
"Hey, come back I'm talking to you." However, the lazy dog is already stretched out on the soft large pillow.
Amelia didn't give up and followed it still carrying a brush. "Jack jack is a good child, if you don't let me brush you I will be sad. You don't want me to be sad do your?" Amelia smiled at it but it just faced another direction. A clear rejection.
She gave up and went to braai meat. She has to gut it and take out the insides before skinning it and then washing it clean. She made large pieces and put her mixed spices for braai before taking the red burning wood and making coal.
She put the meat and kept turning it until it can be eaten. Jack jack is drooling on the side of the pillow making Amelia laugh at him. Realized he is being laughed at, three mouths shut tightly at the same time.
She took out three large bowls and put his share inside before taking out her own piece. She doesn't cut his meat fir him because his canines are very sharp.
The meat is not overly cooked, it is still juicy but it is tender and the spices add a wonderfully satisfying flavor. She ate a large piece of mutated meat feeling very full, she took out a nice bed and fell asleep next to Jack jack.
She woke up because the fire went out and the cold in the wilderness is no joke at night. She touched the floor warming up the wood all around the house. They slept until late in the morning.
She woke up and cleaned herself in the space and came back with Jack Jack's favorite meat porridge she has been making him since he was a small puppy.
The porridge is made from mystical rice and the spirit meat from the space and a few herbs to make it more flavorful. She joins him and have breakfast with it.
"I have to be busy all day long today. Enjoy yourself in the woods. This house belongs to you now. I will make it so no intruder can come inside."
The wood at level 9 is semi conscious even as it has left her body so the house will definitely not allow anyone else to enter. This is a house with spirit. Barging in here will be like asking for trouble. This privileged is only for plant power that have mutated like hers. Only one in one million will have conscious plant supernatural power.
Jack jack can hear her. She knows he can understand her. "The base has too many people now and some may target you when I'm not around. It is better to stay outside like this."
What she doesn't know is that Jack Jack really doesn't like the strong breathe of humans inside the base so this is a welcome change. "When I am not here, you can use the pool to bath, I will show you how to operate the bath tub." She took him and patiently showed him.
Jack Jack ran out after licking her face once. Amelia wiped her face with a helpless expression and went to the basement. She took out her stone stove, it is made from the earth in the space since she can manipulate any thing born inside her space so she made an alchemy stove out of the earth there.
She took out an iron stove she has forged from the iron ore and inscribed a few spells to ensure it will last for at least a few sessions.
She started a fire with her spell and used her mental power to control the temperature. Alchemists usually use soul of spirit power but she found that mental power is just as effective. Since she has it in a abundance she will use it instead.
She carefully put the medicinal ingredients in a required order while ensuring the temperature changes accordingly. When she formed the pills she is still full of power. This proves her decision to use mental energy was the right one.
This pill is used to fake death and fool others. There will be no way to prove someone is not dead because their system will shutdown. The period of maintaining this state will depend on the quality of the pill taken.
For this reason, she is willing to give the young lady the least powerful of all the pills. It will last for only ten minute.
She put the 11 pills in a container and decided to make more fasting pills.

She doesn't feel like Mei Mei but a demon, he turned around and fled. Liang Mei sneered and sat down thinking about her family. On the way to the base they encountered a large scale earthquake that killed many people.
Other people may die but her father also became a victim. That is when she realizes that she may have been relying on the knowledge of her previous life too much. Her father protected her mother and let a heavy store cabinet hit his back making his back ache every now and then.
She made him drink her healing water but it seems something deep in the spine moved and it can not be healed by low level powers. Her father is almost crippled because she had assumed he is fine. In the last life they had occupied the same store and her parents sat on the same place.
They may have been alright because Amelia had saved them since she was always hovering around their father. Liang Mei is also shocked when she didn't see that girl with the army this time, does it mean she is dead?
Her friends said she didn't answer their messages when they called to seek shelter from her. She can see they were telling the truth and even angry at her for it.
Liang Mei has been sleeping with the army commander these few days. Their trip to the base was delayed but they eventually made it there safely. It has been two weeks since settling down in the base and there is still no sign of her half sister.
She can see her father is worried about her. But he will force a smile and pretend to be alright whenever she askes him. It goes to show that he really only has Amy in his heart at times.
"I hope you are not dead little sister, you still need to atone for your sins of a lifetime ago." The pressure from her body got released again, now with a sinister aura of death accompanying it.
She has reached level 7 of the qi gathering stage. Because she is busy taking care of her father and doing missions she is stagnated on this level. For some reasons, the power of her ability doesn't increase along with the mutated power.
Liang Mei has forgotten that water supernatural power is upgraded by using it often. However, she is hiding her power to protect herself and her family from being targeted.
She hasn't experimented with purifying the crystal nuclei using the spring water otherwise she would not be in level 4 until now.
