"We can go if you want," Alexi said as he placed a hand on mine and gave me a concerned look.
I frowned at him and shook his head.
"We aren't the ones that should be leaving," I told him. "Let's go find our table, I'm sure our cousins are waiting for us."
Alexander frowned but nodded.
I knew he was concerned about me, but if I backed off from every fight and every challenge that came my way I'd end up in hiding for the rest of my life.
"I'm so sorry about my parents, Lili," Alexander lamented as soon as we were out of earshot.
I shook my head.
"It's not your fault, Alexi, you have nothing to be sorry about," I told him. "It's kind of sad that they can't be happy for their son and they aren't even excited about becoming grandparents."
Alexi pulled me close and hugged me.
