It's Really You!*

Rui Ye's emotional journey this past year could only be described as a 'rollercoaster ride'. 

It wasn't long after he suffered the first beating after losing his eyesight that he realized the odd sensation of being watched had vanished without him noticing. He lay paralyzed on the living room floor, his heart numb and cold. 

They… left? How could they leave just like that? Because he pleaded for help? 

Truth to be told, Rui Ye had no idea why he did it either. Maybe because all this time, he had always endured the physical and mental abuse alone and therefore convinced that he could rely on no one but himself. He knew that no matter how loudly and desperately he cried, no one would help him so he simply gritted his teeth in silence. Crying was useless, as it would further agitate his mother instead.
