21: Taming my core 1

'Which spell will he use?' Luke thought with a little sweat running down his face. He'd heard what Asher and Cashel said before.

If it were any other person, they'd laugh it off as a joke but there was this seriousness in their tone.

Asher did a little stretch as he made a meeting with himself in his mind. Lately, everyone had seen him use the 'weak' elements — space and time.

In that category were water, darkness and light. Darkness users were mostly assassins and it didn't really have any large offensive skills although it had a corroding effect but man-made poison could do a better job.

Light users were mostly healers and we're stuck in the same category as time users. Water... well was water. Creating a big spalsh to disorganize enemy numbers and increasing the effect of lightning.

They were one of the support types and Asher decided to use that element in particular. He wanted to send a message to the kingdom.

"There are no weak elements. Just weak users."

Asher stretched out his palm and a waterball began to materialize above it. The size was steadily increasing and even when it reached the size of a small building, Asher didn't stop.

Victoria was looking at Asher with wide eyes and she could feel her leg tremble a bit.

Just how much mana did this kid have?!

The waterball finally stopped increasing in size. It was as big a medium sized tower now and everyone was looking at it with trembling gazes.

Asher did something totally unexpected next. The large water ball started to rotate within itself and the size was getting smaller until it was the size of a ping pong ball.

That large amount of water was compressed an insane point and it was trembling like it could burst at any moment.

"Are you ready, instructor?" Asher's smile was that of a madman.

"M-monster " Marigold tripped and fell over with trembling feet.

"He can do way more than that." Cashel spoke.

Asher took a throwing motion and he threw the compressed water ball at Victoria.

Victoria pulled out her sword which had been hanging by her side since the beginning.

"Guardian spirits of–"

As the ball reached with a few centimeters of her, she dodged and stopped her incantation. If she didn't her head would be blown off.

Behind her, the water ball continued to travel through the air and it finally succumbed to gravity.

"Clapse." Asher clapped his hands together and immediately the water ball exploded.

~BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!~

The force of the explosion threw Victoria away and the rest of tbe students immediately ran away except Asher who was smiling like he'd gone mad.

"This is gorgeous. I can make a wonderful poem out of this!

In the vast plains where dreams take flight,

A compressed water ball bursts with might.

Its explosion echoes through the open air,

A spectacle that all those present share.

A kaleidoscope of droplets dance and gleam,

Reflecting sunlight with a radiant beam.

Their journey begins, an ethereal display,

As they cascade and twirl in a watery ballet.

People scatter and run in the face of it's magnificence– Ahem. Lost myself for a bit there."

Asher's face returned to normal and he turned around to face the terrified crowd.

"I hope you... enjoyed the show."

"You! We almost died!" Someone shouted.

"And so what? If you want the blame someone. Blame the principal for not making some countermeasures to this rule after all... everyone can die right?" Asher replied.

After 2 hours, Magic combat class was over. Victoria was teaching everyone on basic mana control except Asher, Cashel and Marigold.

She had already learnt that back home to be able to evolve her fire from the orange to the yellow colour so her mana control was way above the class.

Asher found himself back at the dorms and he walked into his own room. His three roommates wers there on their beds and they cowered in fear immediately.

Three humans trying to exert dominance on him the moment he walked in because of his four ears and they got what they rightfully deserved.

"Hm." Asher laid on his bed and he looked up but gaze was much farther away.

'My memories... I'm forgetting my past life. Little by little. It'll seem like a crazy dream. Well who cares... It's not like it was anything worthwhile.'

As he turned on his side to face the wall, he felt his side lie on something and he pulled it out.

"A spoon?"

Asher stood up crosslegged on his bed and suddenly he recalled a memory. As he was born into this world. His father had pulled out a small silver spoon from his mouth!

He remembered it clearly. This was the exact spoon! He inspected it and he could see a paper wrapped around it.

"I don't know it's use but I can say that the energy inside matches that of a tier 12 weapon. It was born with you inside your mouth. I guess it was a sign to say you'd be this special.

—Bariel."

The energy inside matches that of a tier 12 weapon?! That's the level of a pure core mage! He remembered his mother tossing he and Cashel around after she unsealed her bloodline. The distance between a white core and peak core must be insane.

Asher closed his eyes and spread his senses into the spoon to feel the energy inside and suddenly he was pulled in.

"Uh?" Asher looked at the red system screen in front of him. Wasn't this the former one but then it suddenly disappeared.

Asher turned around in the dark space he was in and saw a bright white light but it wasn't so blinding that it could cause him to squint his eyes.

It felt weirdly warm.

Asher was dumbfounded, why was such a spell inside the silver spoon? At that moment, he had an epiphany.

"Can't I use this to tame my core?"
