Immediately, Zane's body erupted in a dazzling glow, his black robe glimmering in a golden light, making him appear radiant.
Like a small sun, he slowly rose, hovering in the tranquil space.
Then, Zane sensed a newfound clarity in his mind, instantly comprehending various applications of the "Glint-Glint Fruit" powers.
"It seems that, for now, I can only use the most basic light-elemental abilities, which let me turn my entire body into light, allowing for rapid movement or evading attacks," Zane thought. Just as the system had previously mentioned, he had only now acquired the Glint-Glint Fruit's powers, so his ability development was still at the most elementary stage.
Far from the extensive abilities wielded by "Kizaru," one of the renowned Marine Admirals in the pirate world.
"Not bad though; it's neither surprising nor disappointing," Zane murmured to himself, reflecting on the results of this draw.
As he finished speaking, his whole body transformed into a beam of light, instantly traveling far from where he stood.
Compared to spatial-jumping abilities like "Flash," the Glint-Glint Fruit's abilities were better suited for Zane's current combat needs.
Flashing, after all, is an ability that uses shifts in dimensions to achieve instantaneous movement, not true speed of the user.
If his opponent is in a lower dimension than Zane, it's manageable.
But if they're in an equal or higher dimension, Zane's use of spatial jumps becomes too conspicuous, creating a noticeable disturbance.
For instance, during his previous battle with Arishem, even though Arishem was nearly exhausted by the end, he could still instantly detect traces of Zane's Flash.
It's like an ant needing an entire day to crawl from one table leg to another, while you, as a human, could effortlessly crush it with a single step.
Yet the ant would have no awareness of your movement, let alone dodge the stomp.
Meanwhile, your mother might come over and punch you for dirtying the table.
This is the difference between dimensions.
And Zane believed that, from now on, his enemies would at least be on par with the likes of the Destruction Celestial or Arishem.
After all, opponents in lower dimensions no longer interested Zane, since defeating them wouldn't provide substantial energy replenishment.
In this case, his own extreme speed would be a great asset in battle.
After all, light speed is the fastest physical speed possible.
In the original Marvel Universe, there are very few beings whose true speed surpasses light speed.
"Looks like I'll need to find a few members of the Celestials to practice with, and maybe complete the phase-two mission."
In the vast space, Zane continuously transformed into streaks of yellow light, darting rapidly throughout.
At that moment, the edge of the Mirror Dimension began to dissolve, disappearing like melting ice.
All that remained was a transparent interface beneath Zane's feet.
Shortly after, a noisy voice suddenly called out:
"Boss, I'm here! You've finally come to your senses and broken your seal!"
The saying "speak of the devil and he shall appear" really came true this time.
"Looks like my bad luck got used up in the system's draw earlier, and now I've got the luck of a koi fish on my side…"
Zane watched as five giant, armored figures suddenly appeared, feeling a thrill of excitement.
These five giants, clad in variously colored armor, were much taller than the Destruction Celestial but slightly shorter than the unsealed Arishem.
As they barged into thisMirror space, four of them had their feet planted on gradually dimming fireballs, except for the two in front, who each had both feet firmly grounded.
The fireballs emitted wisps of black smoke as they slowly faded, like spent embers. It seemed these giants had used these to break through the chaotic time-space currents outside the Mirror world.
No doubt these five giants were members of the Celestials, though Zane couldn't quite figure out why they were here.
Perhaps they'd come in response to the "Universal Judgment Order" issued by Arishem and had tracked him here.
Unaware, however, that Zane had already entered Arishem's "Pocket Dimension" and defeated him.
At the moment, Zane was not in human form but instead floated high in the sky as a golden light.
Seeing the radiant golden orb above, the giants didn't think twice and mistook it for their Celestial chief, Judge Arishem.
Though they sensed traces of a fierce battle in this vast space, to them, it only made sense that if their unsealed leader had fought, there would be only one survivor.
And that would be Arishem himself.
This was a truth ingrained in them since the beginning of the universe, from their experiences following Arishem.
At this moment, the lead giant, who bore yellow and green-striped armor, stepped forward from the group.
It must have been this same giant whose loud voice had echoed earlier, even before he arrived.
Now, he dropped his jovial expression, assumed a serious demeanor, slightly lowered his head, and spoke in a solemn tone:
"Reporting to Judge, Deputy Leader of the Fourth Combat Unit, Exitar the Exterminator, leading all members—arrived."
"Expected number: five; present: five. Awaiting further instructions, Your Honor."
Exitar was the Celestial who had previously communicated remotely with Arishem to receive the "Universal Judgment Order" task.
Knowing Arishem had already contacted his unit leader, Exitar took on the leadership role in the absence of the leader.
The other four giants, following his lead, reported respectfully to the sky:
"Honorable Judge, Fourth Combat Unit member, Nezarr the Calculator, reporting."
"Honorable Judge, Fourth Combat Unit member, Oneg the Prober , reporting."
"Honorable Judge, Fourth Combat Unit member, Ziran the Tester, reporting."
"Honorable Judge, Fourth Combat Unit member, Jemiah the Analyzer, reporting."
The first to speak was a giant in sky-blue armor, adorned with what looked like digital screens, and topped with a large black halo.
Next was a massive figure in purple-red armor with crisscrossed antlers, giving him an eerie appearance.
After him was a giant in deep blue armor, dressed like a medieval European knight, with a rigid, proper appearance.
If you gave him a big backpack, he'd look just like a school kid on his way home.
The last one to speak was the smallest of the five giants.
His armor shimmered in an illusory green transparency, with a long tube extending from his back like an antenna transmitting signals skyward.
