Chapter 45

[Location: Salvatore Boarding School] [3rd POV]

Several days had passed since the passionate night, and the talk. A lot had happened since then, primarily between Talia and Hope, and Talia herself. For one, Talia had begun to introduce Hope to various shows and movies she wished to travel to in the future, including the MCU, Winx Saga, Shadowhunters, Once upon a time, and Doctor Who. Hope had enjoyed all of them, with Doctor Who and MCU being her favorites, in particular, Iron Man and the 11th Doctor.

It also made Hope realize that Talia's fairy side, and that magic, was derived from the Winx Saga universe, which made her come to some realizations in regards to what Talia's power might be. Talia couldn't exactly tell the girl, but Hope was slowly realizing that it had something to do with other universes, and the multiverse at large, and the ability to gain powers from those universes.

Hope had already binge watched Winx Saga and Shadowhunters. She enjoyed both, but enjoyed Shadowhunters more, probably due to the interesting magic in that universe, the different species, and the other aspects that made it appealing to her. Which made Talia come to the decision that that would be the first universe she would go to, plus, she was interested in the Shadowhunters, and becoming one. The magic seemed fairly decent too.

Besides that, Talia had also begun extensively training in her new abilities. With her time kitsune being the biggest focus, but also by far the hardest to learn and master. She found that the time kitsune involved manipulating time itself, to a degree. The degree at which she could do so, was extremely limited so far. She as of now,  was only able to pause time around herself for a second before time resumed, and it took a decent bit out of her.

Talia doubted that the Time Kitsune was a canon thing, or at the very least, it didn't have a set of powers like this. She wasn't sure why it was that her time kitsune species was so different, but she had a feeling it might be due to the question mark that has been in her species section since the start of her new life.

Talia had also begun training her technology and fire fairy abilities. In particular, the dragon flame. The dragon flame was...surprisingly easy to control, for her at least. She had tested it out alongside some fire spells, and it made her realize just how strong the thing actually was. It made all her fire spells a lot better than before, and have more destructive properties than normal. Not to mention, the other abilities she was sure she would be able to find in the future through some more thorough training.

The technology fairy was also an important training for her, with the progress so far being...minimal. Probably due to the fairy itself, and what it actually does. It involved the usage of digital energy, and magic. It allowed her to make digital constructs, control machines, analyze data with magic, and even has the potential to allow her to create and control electro-magnetic fields, speak in binary code, absorb electricity, and a LOT more. It made Talia realize that the Technology fairy was definitely not based off of the power levels in Winx Saga, like most of the others, but instead on the original cartoon.

Forest Kitsune was another interest of hers, as she found that it was more than just the manipulation of plants, but the manipulation of nature itself. Not to a super uber powerful level, but it had the potential to become truly powerful in the future. As of now, she found that she could control most basic plants, rapidly grow plants, and even create some hybrid plants with some difficulty.

The last thing she focused on, was attempting to combine all of her magic systems together in a sort of super system. She wanted to see if she could combine her Fairy Magic (the dragon flame more specifically) with the Harry Potter and TVD magic, and then further combine it with Overlord magic. She found that combining the dragon flame with a spell like maximize magic, or triplet magic was much more difficult than she was initially expecting. The dragon flame was quite the stubborn force, and almost seemed to refuse to change and warp into something new, like with the Overlord magic.

She hadn't gotten very far in her training of that specific area, due to it's stubbornness, but she was confident in combining them, and was sure she could get it done before her next universe.

Besides the training, and Hope and Talia's relationship, a few other things had happened during these few days.

For one, MG had begun to slowly get better, and began to return to his usual self, if not slightly more quiet then before. Rafael had started to come out of his room, but was still quiet, and refused to go anywhere near MG, which was probably a good thing. Most of the others had already all but forgotten about Landon's death, as no one really liked him, not truly at least.

Currently, Talia was sitting next to Hope, listening to Alaric make an announcement to the school, in the form of an assembly.

"I have some news" Alaric began "Many of you, like me, have forgotten that we are hosting this year's Miss Mystic Falls Pageant" Students groaned at this, with Hope being one of them, causing Talia to chuckle. "Trust me, I know. But the rotation is set in stone. So, let's take the opportunity to maintain our image as a normal school for the rich and awful. As usual, anything remotely magical, enchanted, vampire, wolf or witch-related must be kept tucked away, hidden, and under lock and key"

"Now...with your chore assignments" Alaric finished, motioning towards Lizzie, who walked forward and took the podium.

"Okay, so we'll split into teams" Lizzie began, while Talia began to just block the rest out, not caring much about something like a pageant.

[Later]

Talia and Hope were currently moving around the reptiles, birds, and various other animals. It was supposed to be some sort of cover for Science, or something, Talia didn't really pay attention to the explanation.

"So, are you going to take part in the pageant?" Talia asked, as she set down a cage with some mice in it.

Snorting at the question, Hope replied "Yeah, no. I'd rather not take part in an event dedicated to showing off, and acting all pretty and not like myself"

Talia raised an eyebrow at the dislike clear in her girlfriends tone "You know Lizzie is going to ask you to run, right? Dana's mom is here, and knowing Lizzie, she won't run when that woman is here. And knowing Lizzie, she will want you to take part, due to your "Tragic backstory"" Talia said, making air quotes at the end.

Hope hearing this, groaned as she realized that Talia was probably right, like usual. "She's totally going to bug me until I do it, isn't she?" Talia just nodded with an amused smile, while Hope pouted "But I don't want to do it"

"Then don't" Talia said with a shrug "Josie could run instead, but Lizzie probably won't even pay attention enough to realize that Josie probably would be willing to take her spot"

"Would you do it with me?" Hope asked, causing Talia to smirk "Of course~ There's no way I would miss the chance of seeing my babygirl in a dress again~" Talia said huskily, whispering in Hope's ear, who blushed at the closeness.

Leaning away, Talia smirked in triumph, before stopping when she noticed the uncomfortable look on Hope's face "What's wrong, love?"

"Uhm, my ex-boyfriend is staring at me from behind you" Hope said softly, causing Talia to turn, and low and behold, Roman was standing right there, staring at Hope.

Turning back to Hope, Talia replied.

"I already don't like him"
