Chapter 161: First Meeting With Daenerys

The dragon flames that burned everything created a massive disaster.

The sea of fire resembled a roaring beast, drowning out faint cries, spitting out huge flames.

The smoke thickened, and the Dothraki coughed, retreating one by one.

The orange flames swelled with the force of a hellish wind, blowing nearby flags rattling, glowing embers rising from the smoke, drifting towards the endless black night like a hundred newly born fireflies.

The flames soared high, wielding massive, fiery wings, forcing the Dothraki to retreat step by step.

The Dothraki near the sea of fire could even smell the scent of roasted human flesh, which was no different from the smell of deer meat roasted on a campfire.

This largest Khalasar, ruled by the Khals and some visiting Khals from other small Khalasar, who came to offer wedding gifts to Drogo, suddenly found themselves leaderless in the blink of an eye, as they were all thrown in the same pot along with Drogo.

However, these Dothraki did not react to this upheaval, because the dragon constantly circled above them.

Under the immense pressure of the dragon's might and the deterrent of the destructive dragon flames, they all trembled and knelt to the ground.

The once fierce and bloodthirsty nomads were now trembling like little beasts, afraid to lift their heads to face the terrifying dragons directly, only stealing glances every now and then.

Occasionally, one or two Dothraki couldn't bear the pressure, screaming to escape, but each one would be chased down by the dragons, then perished in the dragon flames, turning into charred corpses, making others even more afraid to act recklessly.

Soon, the central sea of fire gradually disappeared, the once grassy land turned into smoking scorched earth, and Khals who visited, and the most powerful Khal, Khal Drogo of the Dothraki Sea, all turned into charred corpses.

The jewelry they once wore, the weapons in their hands, now melted into a pool of red iron.

Watching this hellish scene, Jorah Mormont let out a scream.

Because of his identity as a squire of Viserys, he was not allowed to approach Khal Drogo during the gift-giving ceremony.

Instead, he and three new handmaidens of Daenerys went to a slightly farther place after the gift-giving, which spared them from disaster.

His new master, whom he had only sworn allegiance to Viserys for a day, had also become part of this hell.

Jorah could recognize the tall, thin corpses as Viserys Targaryen because all the Dothraki present were strong men, even the Magister Illyrio was a fat man.

"It's all lies," he muttered in anguish, "all this 'true dragon blood,' it's all lies..."

Jorah was originally the lord of House Mormont and the duke of Bear Island.

He spent all his money on luxuries for his second wife and ended up heavily in debt.

To repay his debts, Jorah violated the laws of the Seven Kingdoms by selling poachers as slaves to the Tyroshi.

And after the incident, he was sentenced to death by his liege lord, the Warden of the North in the Seven Kingdoms, Eddard Stark.

To save his life, he fled to the most powerful Braavos in the Free Cities and became a hired knight, but his wife became someone else's mistress because he had no money.

Disappointed, Jorah came to the Dothraki Sea and coincidentally encountered Viserys, becoming Viserys's squire due to his Dothraki attributes.

He had hoped to follow Viserys, at least to have a chance to reclaim everything, but who knew that in just one day, Viserys would be scorched earth.

Just as he lamented his fate, a figure slowly stood up in the scorched earth.

It turned out that there were still survivors in this hell.

It was Daenerys.

Next to her, there were only charred charcoal and glowing ashes, as well as the burnt bones of men.

She was naked, but covered in ash, shrouded in white smoke, making it impossible to see clearly.

Her beautiful hair was also burned to ashes... but she herself was unharmed.

Beside her were three dragon eggs of different colors, all cracked, as if something was about to hatch from inside.

"Is this... the blood of the true dragon, immune to high temperatures and flames? Even dragon flames can't harm her in the slightest... and... dragon eggs."

Jorah seemed to see miracles and hope, trembling as he stood up, wanting to step into that scorched earth, but another figure - no, the dragon - moved faster than him.

Before Jorah could see Daenerys's body clearly, a terrifying hot wind with the flapping of wings knocked him to the ground.

As he struggled to get up, he only saw the dragon slowly landing on the ground behind Daenerys.

The dragon let out a deafening roar, spreading its wings, then surrounded Daenerys.

"No!"

Jorah shouted in despair, feeling that the dragon was about to devour Daenerys, devouring his last hope.

But the dragon didn't do that. His massive body unexpectedly underwent a transformation.

Before the eyes of Jorah and the Dothraki, the dragon's body slowly shrank, then he stood upright, his long and elegant dragon head and neck gradually shortened, turning into a handsome human face.

The person before them was probably a teenager, with black hair and obsidian-like eyes.

Jorah could swear that he had seen countless nobles in the Seven Kingdoms, but even the handsome nobles like Rhaegar, the eldest son of the Mad King, Jaime Lannister, the knight of the Kingsguard, and the "Knight of Flowers" Ser Loras Tyrell, were far inferior in appearance to the person before him.

The dragon's claws gradually disappeared, replaced by a pair of long and powerful hands and feet.

The scales gradually vanished, turning into a magnificent black cloak and a black suit of a style he had never seen before.

After the wings retracted into the shoulders, the long tail also disappeared. A terrifying dragon had thus transformed into a handsome human in full view of everyone.

"In the name of the Seven..." Jorah exclaimed in astonishment, "this can't be possible."

Yet the fact was before their eyes.

This dragon turned into a teenager was none other than Alaric, who had been in the world of "A Song of Ice and Fire" for a while.

He walked to the naked Daenerys, untied his cloak before the smoke dissipated, then draped it over her, and then scrutinized the naked beauty in front of him.

The girl before him was a young beauty, with violet eyes full of confusion.

She was already confused by the rapidly changing situation.

First, she had to face marrying barbarians much older than herself, and then the dragon suddenly reappeared, burning her, her brother, and the stranger she was going to marry... all to ashes.

She had thought she was going to die for sure, but the flames couldn't hurt her at all, only wrapping around her body like her robe, dancing around her.

Then, the flames went out, and the dragon landed in front of her.

When she thought she was about to become food in the dragon's mouth, the dragon turned into a slightly older teenager than herself.

This teenager came to her, and she thought she would feel afraid because he was a dragon, and he had killed so many people.

But in fact, she felt no fear at all, only a strange feeling, which prompted her to stay in place, neither frightened away nor ashamed because of her nudity.

She watched as the young man wrapped her naked body with his cloak, looking into her eyes seriously.

Then he spoke, using the Common Tongue of Westeros, his voice very pleasant to hear.

"Finally, I meet you," he said.

"The future Khaleesi of the Dothraki Sea, the destined ruler of Westeros, the Dragon Queen, the Princess of Dragonstone, 'Born Amidst Salt and Smoke,' Daenerys Targaryen.

I am Alaric, nice to meet you."
