Learning About System

Thankfully, the people in charge provided newcomers with a blanket each. Though with no pillow, it will be hard to sleep on the hard floor.

'Well, as they said, money makes the world go around. But we need to make money ASAP,' Ian thought to himself.

As there was some lighting as the sun had not set yet, Ian took out the Guild rulebook and read it. After all, he needed to learn as much as he could so they would be able to blend in the place.

As he was about to flip to the final page, cold kitchenware came in contact with his skin. He jumped, only to see Kell had pushed a bowl filled with soup at his cheek.

He accepted it, muttering a quiet thanks as he gobbled up the soup. The former jock gave him a bread too, which he accepted as well.

"So, anything new you learn?" Kell asked.

"Nothing too important, aside from the fact that the Adventure Guild is a multinational organization that is spread across every nation and continent in this world," Ian told him.

"Aside from that, there are the rules which are just about the things we can and cannot do. Considering most of the things we cannot do will just lead to us being exiled or even killed, I think we do not need to worry about breaking it,"

"Hahaha, let's talk about something else," Kell laughed nervously.

Ian seemed to be deep in thought before speaking, "In that case, let's check our system at night,"

 "Why at night?" Kell asked.

"So no one could see us looking at the wall like a bunch of idiots. They probably cannot see the system's screen. Not to mention, most people probably sleep during that time," he told his reasoning.

"Okay," the oaf nodded. "We will check what the system can do at night,"

 *Kraakooo*

"He said he wanted to check it but he already sleeping like a baby," Ian muttered as he activated his system.

 < Support Mage System >

He pressed the screen before it showed several other options.

 < Status >

 < Skill  >

 < Talent >

 < Store >

 < Quest >

"Seem to be too simple. Then again, this is real life so there is no need to go make things complicated," he said to himself.

Deciding to save checking his status for last, Ian pushed the Skill.

< Skill - Divided into two categories, Types and Nature. Types are divided into Offensive, Defensive, and Support while Nature is divided into Magic and Weapon. Using one body is categorized as a Weapon too.

Skill can also be the mixture of both Natures but it will be considered Magic in Nature.

Note: it is ill-advised to use points to obtain or upgrade a skill >

Reading the description, Ian then looked at the Skill he could access.

"Heal, Strengthen. Oh, there are also Fireball and other offensive spells too. But from the look of it, will take me a long time before I can use it. As of now, the spells I have are Arcane Shot, Shield, and Heal.

Oh, it seems that I can upgrade some spells to a more powerful version, but from the look of things, it requires points. Then again, the god did say one could learn new skills without a system so unless the point to upgrade and obtain a skill are exclusive, then I better save it for some other things," he muttered to himself.

Once done examining the Skill, Ian looked at the Talent screen.

< Talent - Passive Ability. Talent is divided into Mastery and Ability. Mastery allows one to learn something quickly as long as it is in the scope of the Talent. The ability allows one to be able to do something faster or obtain better results, in other words, improve one ability.

Note: Talent cannot be learned. It is something that is one born with. But it can be improved using points. It is advised to use points to upgrade talents if it is enough >

"Okay. Let's see what talent I have,"

Unlike the Skill option, the Talent is less than the skill. But from the look of it, it seems to be much better in the long term.

"Understanding, allows one to comprehend a written subject. Whether it is books or inscriptions on a wall. As long as it is in a language you learned. So, if I want to read something in another language I need to learn it first.

But, there is also this, locked talent," he pressed the screen where locked talent is at.

"Need to pass certain requirements to be unlocked or use points to unlock it. So, I don't have these talents yet. But at least I can read some of it.

Let's see, Spell Mastery, Alchemist, Translator, all of these seemed so good. It is too bad I either need to finish the requirement or use points. And I still don't know where to get points.

From the look of it, the quest should be a way to get points. Let's look at the store first then the quest," he opened the Store screen.

There a variety of items, most of them books and tome, filled his vision. His own version of heaven.

He looked at the description of the store, afraid if he looked any longer at the items he would go crazy.

< Store - A place where you can buy items. Each system offers different items. Support Mage System offered a variety of books, tome, and recipes.

Note: Use most of the points you gained here. This is the place where most points are drained at >

He gave the items in question a glance, before picking the Quest screen, fearing he would do something he regretted, like not sleeping because he was busy reading the book.

< Quest - Missions and a way to gain points. The difficulties are Easy, Medium, Hard, and Insane. The harder the missions, the more points one could gain. Missions are divided into Daily and Achievement.

Daily Quests are quests given daily and will change each day. The strength of the user will determine the Daily Quests received. Achievement Quests are quests that can only be claimed once. It is more of a checkpoint to see the progress you have made.

Note: Achievement Quest is linked between the two system users. So, if one person did one achievement, the rewards will be shared. As for Daily Quests, it will differ between the system users and the rewards will be given only to the users as well.

Ignoring the Achievement Quest is up to the users but it is advised to complete the Daily Quests if the user wishes to be stronger >

"So that is why the god says we can choose," Ian said to himself, eying one of the Achievement Quests, namely the 'Kill the Demon Lord', and from the way it said, there might be more than one demon lord.

"Oh well, I better go to sleep. I can look at my status tomorrow,"
